Post MADtv Blowout Sale, EVERYTHING MUST GO!

Well people, in a sign that the end is most likely here, it's time for the MADtv blowout sale. For what looks to be one week, the shows producers are giving away props, and costumes that made the show what it was for the last 14 years, through eBay. Now these are not bit costumes used in one non-memorable sketch, or props that were deeply hidden in a set. These will be the real deal.

For example, among the costumes listed include...
  • Ms. Swan's beloved dress.
  • Stuart's rainbow coloured shirt.
  • Bible Dude's costume.
  • Nicole Parkers Dorothy dress (not The Disney Girl dress) complete with wig and ruby slippers.
  • and The Blind Kung Fu Master attire.

Props include...
  • The radioactive Kermit the Frog from the Sesame Street: Dirty Bomb sketch from episode #1211.
  • The memorable Tickle Me Emo doll from the season 12 Christmas episode, #1209.
  • The Titanic Happy Meal prop from episode #312.
  • One of the G.I Joe inspired action figures from episode #311.
  • and The OJ Simpson Dream Team commemorative plates from way back in episode #106.

Other items not officially listed, but are being sold include a series finale script autographed by most of the regular cast of season 14, and the Kenny Rogers wig and costume worn by Will Sasso in the final episode. Though some of the items listed on top are not currently up for bids at the moment, they will most likely be available at a later date. Along with the purchase, not only will you get an item that should be covered by a glass case and observed like a museum piece, that should never to be touched again in your home, but it will also include a MADtv pen, MADtv letter opener, and the Best of MADtv, Seasons 8,9, and 10 DVD.

Seeing these items up for auction brings on a flurry of emotion. In one way, seeing the costumes and props, some of them that we grew to adore over the last 14 years up on eBay to possibly own for the rest of our life is exciting. In another way, the fact that they are selling off items that are still around like the O.J Simpson Plates from season 1, and the Titanic Happy Meal set from season 3, is another sign (and most likely the final) that MADtv has most likely not found a new home, and has given up the search. Well if this truly is the end, this might be the last time to try and reap the benefits of the end of one of America's true great comedy institution, MADtv.

Information on items, and bidding can be found on the link at the bottom of the article.

I wonder why Alex doesn't own the rights to Ms. Swan's dress or that Stuart's shirt isn't owned by Michael.

They've got the Dorothy and the Kenny Rogers costumes on eBay! How hilarious. Those were some of my favorite skits.

It's sad to see all this stuff just being sold away (bids starting at just 99-cents! ) on eBay ... but it's nice to know that I can grab a piece of the show.

I can't wait for those muppets! Haha.

I think that this means MADtv definitely will be coming back for a 15th season. I'm sure of it now.

I would seriously consider bidding for something if it wasn't for the damn international shipping price. To get a costume is like $44.00 shipping!

And MADfan, if I didn't create it, no one would have.

I really want the Titanic Happy Meal set, but the price has gone way up in the last 24 hours! It's $62 now. I love that sketch.

I would really love to buy something of Crista's, Michael's and Keegan's. As expected, the bids have gotten really high for many of the items. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event to get such memorabilia, so I'm seriously thinking of buying a thing or two. You only live once. Why not spend some money on something nice? A costume or prop would go well with my signed series finale script.

I've been looking at some of the bid items, and in the descriptions, they are asking people to come here to find information. The one I like the best is the OJ Plates, which say that according to here it's an incompete set. I like it because the person who wrote that there are 5 in all (which there are) is me!

I know. If I was only a few kilometres south, some things would be $15.00, but since I live in Canada, it's $44.00, and that's not including the price of the item, which is also more due to the dollar amount of the day. I lost out on that script due to some damn maximum bidder today too.

Ms. Swan went up today. 9 days left for 3 costumes, a letter opener, a dvd, and a pen.

Is it bad that I wish they'd sell the pens and letter openers at a Buy It Now? Cause I really want one and don't think I'll ever win a costume. lol.

The flat rate shipping is absurd. They're making a killing off that alone.

The main problem I'm noticing now is that now they don't seem to be offering international on almost everything due to weight. What the hell does that mean? Weight it, and ship it!
