Ew, I hate the auditions. I'm so sick of hearing the bad singers, it's not that funny anymore. I'll tune in later on though.

Unfortunately I'll be watching this BS. Seeing as how there's nothing else to watch I might as well. So hooray for madness.

As much as I love watching the bad singers, even I have to admit that the show went a bit overboard last year. Then someone came up with the brilliant decision to squeeze Hollywood week into one episode; and by the time the final 24 were decided upon, I didn't know Adam from Steve. (With all the gay talk of late, I couldn't resist. ) Let's reel in the choppiness this year, folks, as well as the anonymous Justin Timberlake wannabes with thin voices...not that I'll mention any names.

I can not believe I sat through 2 hours of American Idol. I was rolling on the floor when that Princess Leia look alike auditioned

These people scare me. I want my mommy!

But hey, the good news is that there will be several new job openings for security this season.

The wedding singer is probably about the best I've heard so far, although she needs to lose those theatrics like a bad habit. What's left of my heart was breaking into a million tiny pieces when that one girl broke into tears. I expected that creepy guy from the Kleenex commercials to show up at any moment. Don't go "Old Yeller" on me, "AI."

Lmfao. I watched this $hit last night. It was crazy. Rofl at the black man singing about Moses. He sounded retarded. And then the freaky 60's cover band woman. Mmm gotta love that Princess Star Wars dork. *bullet through skull*

The premiere was decent but the second episode was AWESOME. So many great people and hilarious ones too.

My favorite thus far is probably either that Alaina girl (the one who sang Faith Hill) or Kady (the one who did the Britney Spears impression).

And the guy who was in love with Simon was HILARIOUS, lmao.

Hollywood is one episode again It's two hours though, so it makes it a little better.

Last season was really just a trainwreck in general, let's hope this one is better. The auditions are already WAY better then last year's.

Omg that song is stuck in my head. I've been singing it all night. "I bet that will be a hit record." Do I smell another William Hung?

Here he is, folks -- the next big thing in music:

Renaldo Lapuz: We're Brothers Forever
Billboard charts, look out! You're missing out big-time, Mark.

I don't even really care about tonight's auditions. I have just had a spiritual awakening unlike any other, as I'm sure all of you can attest to in your own souls. I...I love you guys. You are my brothers...and sisters. As a gesture of our universal love, we should all peel off our fingernails and place them in a big pile. I would make that sacrifice for you beautiful people, and I know you'll be willing to do the same for me. Brotherhood! Sisterhood! Fingernails! Forever! *Softly beats chest three times and holds up the peace sign.* Renaldo, thou art God.

On the plus side, I like Zpia, Kady, and the newest Carrie Underwood wannabe, whatever her name is. I'm still very scared, though; and I'm almost certain that I won't be able to close my eyes to sleep when the only image that will be swimming through my head will be that of a tone-deaf psycho who walks in circles and sings and whispers to himself. It's times like these when I'm glad that I have you guys, my sane brothers and sisters!

Uh, yeah, I'm screwed.

That guy that security had to remove because he wouldn't stop singing and was whispering to himself was beyond creepy. In fact creepy is an understatement. And I felt mildly bad for that rock guy who claimed it was "GUYLINER." We should start our own version of AMERICAN IDOL. It would be highly interesting.

That "i am your brother song" is really catchy.stuck.in.my.head
paula abdul is whack..i've never actually sat down and watched an episode of american idol(mostly cause we don't generally get it)

i was a bit when they let that girl through that sang janis joplin, the car accident one.seriously?

That Janis Joplin girl was a bewildering one for sure. Maybe the judges were desperate to fill the sing-along-with-the-car-radio-in-the-privacy-of-one's-car quota. If so, then it's high time -- pun fully intended -- for Simaulandy to lay off the hard drugs.

In a positive light, it seems like they're putting less "acts" through this year then last year and even the years prior to last year, probably to prevent another Sanjaya debacle.
