Michael McDonald was born and raised in Orange County, CA. He graduated from USC with a degree in Business and became a loan officer at a bank in Los Angeles. A friend took him to see a sketch comedy/improv show at L.A.'s famous Groundling Theater, and then everything changed.

McDonald quit his job as a banker, enrolled in the Groundling's Improv Program, and became a member of the troupe from 1992 to 1997. His first professional writing and acting jobs came from Concorde Pictures, Roger Corman's infamous low-budget movie studio. Starting as an extra, McDonald gradually earned bigger roles and eventually wrote and directed several films. He has guest starred on many television shows, including "Seinfeld," "Ellen," "Just Shoot Me," "NewsRadio," and "Greg the Bunny."

He currently has a recurring role on "Scrubs." Film credits include brief appearance in all three "Austin Powers" films.

He then moved into television, guest starring on shows such as "Seinfeld," "Ellen," "NewsRadio," "Just Shoot Me" and "The Drew Carey Show."

McDonald is single and resides in Los Angeles.

I assume that you are referring to the Yasser Arafat's Party Tricks sketches of season 4. I always assumed it was Michael McDonald, but I guess it could have been Andrew Bowen. I think the character also appeared in one of the Eracist skits.

I found one of Number Six's reviews and he seemed to think it was Michael McDonald, but even he was unsure. The group of sketches appeared in episode #420, you can read the review if you want. I never thought these were very funny, so I guess I didn't pay very close attention.

Ok, I didn't realize we were disputing what Mad Dog and Matt said. I have that sketch on tape too. I guess I'll check that also when I get a chance. HiVolt- if you're reading this do you also have these skits on tape you can capture? I can send it to you if you dont have it, but I'm sure it is on the web right? If it comes down to a split opinion, maybe we can post that as a sketch of the week. They do use alot of makeup sometimes and a good accent will make it a difficult judgement.

You know, I'm not trying to start anything or be the party pooper, but why isn't anyone saying "OMG.....THIS SHOULD BE IN ANOTHER THREAD......PUT THIS IN THE "CAST DISCUSSION" THREAD NOW!!!" I mean, I have a feeling that if I did something like this, I'd be told to do that!! Like I said before though, I'm not trying to start anything or get everyone all mad, I'm just curious as to why noone has mentioned this since there is a paticular obvious thread about Michael that not even I could miss!!! After all, this has already been discussed in the "Cast Discussion" thread!!
