Dora the Explorer Goes to Las Vegas
Dora the Explorer (Michelle Ortiz) is taking a trip to Las Vegas. There she visits a casino where after winning money at the casino, she has to run for fear of going to juvinial detention for being a minor in a casino. She then goes to a strip club, which she mistakes for being a fire station due to the stripper pole. After Blackpack warns her not to touch the stripper pole or she'll get the clap, Blackpack gets motor boated by one of the strippers, of whom Blackpack pays handsomely for the pleasure. When Swiper (Adam Ray) comes to get the money, he is taken by the clubs body guards and is murdered out in the Las Vegas Desert, which is Dora's next location to visit. Dora then tells the audience " ![]() ![]() Credits: Michelle Ortiz (Dora the Explorer), Amir K (Hombre estupido sin dinero), Jeremy D. Howard (Blackpack (Voice)), Jon Barinholtz (MADtv Writer) (Swiper) Open: Cast Impression Off Adam Ray tries to open the show but the cast keeps interrupting with their impressions. Carlie Craig interrupts with Ariana Grande, Jeremy D. Howard interrupts with Tracy Morgan, Chelsea Davison interrupts with Lena Dunham, Piotr Michael interrupts with Seth Rogan, Lyric Lewis interrupts with Viola Davis, Amir K interrupts with Aziz Anzari, and Michelle interrupts with Melania Trump. When they ask if Adam wants to do one, Adam is flustered over which one to choose, and is stopped due to the cast chastising him for slowing down the show. Credits: Lyric Lewis (Herself), Carlie Craig (Herself), Chelsea Davison (Herself), Michelle Ortiz (Herself), Adam Ray (Himself), Amir K (Himself), Piotr Michael (Himself), Jeremy D. Howard (Himself) Meet the Rich-Kids of Beverly Hills with Kim-Jong Un After the most controversial lunch order in the shows history, the shows new rich kid Kim-Jong Un (Bobby Lee) "brings a whole new Korean bang" to the show. After the group teach him how to twerk, Kim-Jong tells them how he takes food away from people, and kills anyone who crosses him. The group is starting to get tired of Kim-Jong, due to the fact that he doesn't fit in. Kim-Jong is beginning to wear out his welcome, by asking EJ (Earvin) Johnson (Jeremy D. Howard) if he can get his father to play basketball in North Korea, and by misconstruing Morgan Stewart's (Carlie Craig) comments about inviting him to her shower. Kim-Jong though starts to come around when it is revealed that they are having a live screening of The Interview with Seth Rogan (Piotr Michael) making an appearance. Instead of killing Rogan for his horrible portrayal of him, he hugs him and wishes to learn his laugh. Credits: Michelle Ortiz (Bianca Espada), Jeremy D. Howard (EJ (Earvin) Johnson), Carlie Craig (Morgan Stewart), Bobby Lee (Kim-Jong Un), Piotr Michael (Seth Rogan) Cap the Rapper Cap the Rapper (Jeremy D. Howard), known as "the hardest dude on the streets" has come to MTV's Flo to wrap some of his new lyrics. Cap has a new girlfriend, Ashley, and it has changed his outlook on life. The guys (Amir K, Adam Ray and Piotr Michael) on the couch challenge him to a rap battle, but when it gets to Cap, his lyrics are all sweet and endearing. His lyrics include "The way she makes me feel like a prince among thieves" and "I found my soul mate the future mother of my son." He thinks that his lyrics are hard and tough, but the guys think that they are too soft and loving. He tries to prove how tough he is in his next song, but it is all about Sunday brunch. The guys say that he's not Cap the Rapper anymore, he's more like his real name, Arthur. After singing a song about chronic back pain, the guys leave, disappointed at what Arthur has become. Credits: Amir K (Flow Host), Adam Ray (Rapper #1), Piotr Michael (Rapper #2), Jeremy D. Howard (Arthur "Cap the Rapper"), Lyric Lewis (DJ) Trump Elementary Thanks to "Crooked" Hillary Clinton, America's schools are a complete disaster. Donald Trump (Piotr Michael) is going to make American schools great again, with his new scheme "Trump Elementary". Trump is guarenteeing no fat teachers, no Muslims, and no drug dealers. For many, many fees, the kids will get to go to the school, get to take the bus to the school. The school is supported by Vladimir Putin, Paul Ryan, and his wife Melania Trump (Michelle Ortiz (Voice)). Trump guarantees that this will be as successful as all of his other ventures. Credits: Piotr Michael (Donald Trump), Carlie Craig (Ivanka Trump), Michelle Ortiz (Melania Trump (Voice)) Tank: Tailgate Tank Jamel Hill (Lyric Lewis) of ESPN is in Florida for the Florida State University football game when she is being interrupted by an annoying fan, who turns out to be Tank (Bobby Lee). Tank shows Hill is Daewoo car which is "half car, half sex palace" due to the hot tub in the back, which is dirty, and infested with mosquitoes. When Aly Raisman (Michelle Ortiz) and Madison Kocian (Carlie Craig) come by, Tank tries hit on them by bringing them back to his Motel 6 and asking them to balance his beam, pummel his horse, and dismount his rings. They all leave in disgust, leaving Tank to have to have "another visit to the spank bank for Tank." Credits: Lyric Lewis (Jemele Hill), Bobby Lee (Tank), Carlie Craig (Madison Kocian), Michelle Ortiz (Aly Raisman) Who Ordered Amish Stripper for the Bachelor Party Sam (Piotr Michael) is having his bachelor party with his friends, but a bachelor party isn't a bachelor party without a stripper. The stripper that his friends got him however, is not a usual stripper. The woman they got is an Amish stripper with some very reserved tendencies, Ruth "Mary" Yoder (Chelsea Davison). Despite her oddly un-erotic tendencies, the men seem to be into it. As she begins to churn butter though, the men are beginning to get sexually uncomfortable with her performance. She then begins to talk dirty, asking Sam if he has "been a bad boy?" When he replies yes she says "Than you shall enure the wrath of our lord!" As Sam begins to get nervous, the men ask if Mary can just get to the actual stripping. She agrees to the request, and begins to dance the "cardinal dance" with a hymn choir in the background. At this point, the men are now too wielded out by Mary, and decide to book it back to the casino to play blackjack. Credits: Piotr Michael (Sam), Adam Ray (Friend #1), Amir K (Friend #2), Jeremy D. Howard (Friend #3), Chelsea Davison (Ruth "Mary" Yoder), Michelle Ortiz (Choir Girl #1), Lyric Lewis (Choir Girl #2), Carlie Craig (Choir Girl #3) MLB on Fox with Joe Buck and Ritvik Vaghaiwalla On this weeks episode of Fox Sunday Baseball Joe Buck (Adam Ray) is joined by India's top cricket announcer Ritvik Vaghaiwalla (Amir K). Vaghaiwalla comments that the game of baseball is much slower than cricket, and that there is not much time for "chit chat" so he does not know how to banter back and forth between plays. Buck tells Vaghaiwalla that during the game they tell stories and jokes between plays. Vaghaiwalla though does not know the difference between good stories and jokes, and inappropriate stories and jokes, making one about "the worst rub and tug I ever had? It was terrific!" and "How do you get the Taliban to leave an area? Throw in a bar of soap!" As he and Buck begin to argue over what is appropriate and what isn't, Vaghaiwalla says that he does not know what he is doing wrong or how to make it better because he is "trying to make some talk for this stupid boring sport!" Buck is now completely offended, and walks out of the booth, leaving Vaghaiwalla to call the rest of the game, which of course leads to the feed getting cut. Credits: Adam Ray (Joe Buck), Amir K (Ritvik Vaghaiwalla) MADtv Classic: Abercrombie & Fitch: Blackercrombie #1105 Credits: Ike Barinholtz (Dutch), Jordan Peele (Stingray), Michael McDonald (Cougar), Keegan-Michael Key (Shoplifter) Bernie Sanders: Phone Test Bernie Sanders (Piotr Michael) tries to get directions to the airport using the new iPhone, but cannot figure out how the phone works. Credits: Piotr Michael (Bernie Sanders), Chelsea Davison (Jane Sanders) MADtv Classic: Ka-Son: Partial Payment #1112 Credits: Keegan-Michael Key (Customer), Nicole Randall Johnson (Ka-Son) PSA: Adele Adele (Chelsea Davison) tells a story about how she hit a sea cow down in Florida, and tells people to be careful when you are driving any kind of vehicle. Credits: Chelsea Davison (Adele) Close: Never had More Fun The cast reminises about the times where they have had more fun than doing the show, like when they were on the CW yacht, or when they put pinata's full of crickets in Piotr Michael's dressing room. They then agree that this is probably the most fun they have ever had. Credits: Jeremy D. Probably not the smartest idea to agree to call attention to how completely and utterly replaceable you are, Adam.
Please don't let Michelle twerking be my favorite part of the episode, please don't let Michelle twerking be my favorite part of the episode... A much better character this week from Jeremy. Good. Oh, Tank. ![]() A less impressive character from Chelsea, but I guess I can deal with it. Don't see how she's going to recur it, but best of luck, girlfriend. Running low on patience with Amir as well, but at least he's not offensively awful like certain former cast members who shall remain nameless but may have appeared in these last two episodes. Next week's MADtv Classic: Bobby introduces #1017, says we have a great show tonight, an audience member coughs. BUT KEEGAN-MICHAEL KEY IS IN THE SHOT!! Two "classics" in one episode? Dude. I could've gone one of three ways this week with my MVP (you'll never guess which!), but by the thinnest of margins, I'm giving it to Michelle. And no, not for that reason. (Okay, fine -- for that reason.) __________________ /bw |

If I had to pick the worst cast member so far it would be between Chelsea, because I just don't feel she's getting enough screen time, Lyric for the same reason, Carlie (as much as that hurts me to say) because they are trying to make her the face of the show, but she comes off so much like a dumb blonde too much of the time, and her work has not been solid which is something I hate to say, because I really want to like her, and she is the only one I remember that has responded to the sites twitter account, but I call it like I see it, and Amir because outside of the "I'm the Middle Eastern guy" stuff his impressions are so so, and he just hasn't brought enough. I know that's basically half the cast, and most of the women, but I am still enjoying the show Quote:

2 MADtv Classics in one episode! 2! WTF! They couldn't have extended a sketch?! Shot something quick in front of a green screen?! Shown a blooper or something?! Inexcusable! Also, they are showing classics specifically with Keegan, which I knew they would do when the first classic was shown. Quote:

I don't hate him or anything -- he's just... there. At no point watching Adam perform have I ever once thought, "Boy, he definitely did that better than I could've!", and -- just a reminder -- I'm not a comedian, an impressionist, or an actor. That's a problem. I mean, not as big a problem as Bobby Lee, but a problem nonetheless.
Amir, at least, is trying. Chelsea, at least, is trying. Carlie, at least, is trying (to be Arden Myrin). But Adam? Is this really the eighth best improv actor in the country who's not already on SNL? Quote:

This episode was probably one of my favorites of the season so far. I liked the fact that it revolved more around the cast themselves rather than focusing on the hosts too much. That being said I do like seeing former cast members appearing but for the show to succeed it has to promote the new cast and just hope it does well enough to get a new season.
Again not sure why two classic sketches were needed, it makes it worse considering they have finished taping the episodes this season so they still had plenty of time to film new stuff but i guess they only have a limited budget. Cant say ive disliked any of the cast so far, would have to say its probably one of the more talented and well rounded casts in the shows history. Too bad they didnt get a longer season to gel a bit more but looks like the last couple episodes should be just as strong so hopefully thats enough to renew it. Also theres post show review done every week by Afterbuzz TV on youtube which is an interesting watch especially this weeks which features Jeremy and Chelsea. No one mentioned Bon Qui Qui in next weeks episode? I was surprised to see that. __________________ -------"The real funny beneath the funny"------- |

I was going to save my thoughts on Bon Qui Qui for next week, but I do agree that it is surprising that a person who was only on the show for 4 episodes in the shows worst season, and wasn't even the best feature player on that season (still have MAD love for Dan Oster) is now getting a guest starring spot on the show because her one character is unbelievably popular. She still does Bon Qui Qui regularly on youtube, which I find odd considering she did perform it on the show, which I thought might give WB the rights to it. __________________ ![]() ![]() Planet MADtv (August 28th 2002- August 28th 2009, August 28th 2010)

Something I forgot to mention. Piotr's Seth Rogan is just terrible. He doesn't sound enough like him or look enough like him for the impression to work. Even the audience seemed like they didn't like it that much either.

I'm so glad that Dora the Explorer came back. I know the character is dated and the sketch is predictable (stereotypes of places that she goes), but they are so true. That was definitely my favorite sketch of this episode. I also liked the Trump Elementary sketch. As for the episode as a whole, for me it took a dip from the previous episode and to me, it is almost the worst episode this season. At least they picked some decent Classic sketches, although they cut the original Ka-Son sketch and they didn't even mention the other prior cast members that were in the two sketches.

I was going to mention this in my review, but couldn't recall the character name and then forgot to look it up: Cap is essentially The Blizzard Man.

Dora the Explorer Goes to Las Vegas: I know people like this, but for me this is too outdated. Also, this is probably Michelle at her most annoying to me. Blackpack is still good though. ![]() ![]() ![]() Open: Cast Impression Off: This was a wierd opening. It just felt very poorly written. Also, I don't understand why Carlie got this started. What was her motivation for this. As for the impressions. Carlie's Ariana Grande was great, but that is her signature impression so it's expected. Tracy Morgan is also Jeremy's signature so that's expected. So is Chelsea's Lena Dunham. Piotr's Seth Rogan however was bad. He just didn't sound enough like him. Probably one of his worst impressions that the show wasn't just putting him in for. Lyric's Viola Davis is her signature so that good. Now we come to the worst one, Amir's Aziz Anzari. I don't even think he was trying here. He was just saying something and if he didn't say "I'm Aziz Anzari" no one would have known who he was. Even the audience didn't laugh. Michelle's Melania Trump is good, but I don't know why she is forcing "Whatever the Donald Says" so much. As for Adam, I agree with blackwind that it does make him look bad that he is the only one who doesn't do an impression here. Knocks him down a little. Overall I give this one high marks though, because it was an opening that felt like an opening, and wasn't just the cast members coming out and saying "We got a great show for you tonight". ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() #Rich-Kids of Beverly Hills: Kim-Jong Un: I have never seen #Rich-Kids of Beverly Hills, but this seems like an apt parody considering what that show likely involves. Michelle was in great form here. I like that she is trying with this impression. I feel like she does her research, which I appreciate. Like blackwind, I did enjoy her twerking. I thought Bobby was good here too. This was probably his best performance of the 2 episodes that he did. Jeremy was good too, and Carlie was acceptable. Piotr's Seth Rogan at the end really ruined it though. I would have preferred it if they had just ended it with Kim being kicked out of Beverley Hills, and maybe having him bomb it or something. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cap the Rapper: This was the best sketch of the night for me, but that's probably just because I am in love with everything Jeremy has done this season. Love how much Jeremy sells it. Love it. I can't give it 5 stars though, because it was a little hard to hear what he was saying. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Trump Elementary: I wasn't too into this. There just wasn't much here. Didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. Also, this makes me wonder what is happening with that rumoured Ivanka Trump sketch where Mo Collins is playing Ivanka. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tank: Tailgate Tank: This was not the best Tank sketch. It's just not the same without Kenneth. I just wasn't funny. The Olympic gymnasts thing was so out of the blue that it just wasn't funny. ![]() ![]() Ruth "Mary" Yoder: The Amish Stripper: This was funny but again, did the writers ever tell them that they have had a lot of awkward stripper sketches in the shows history? Like the character Stephnie Wier had. This was funny, and I liked how into the character Chelsea seemed to be. The effort goes a long way here, but it just felt like it was missing something for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() Fox Sunday Baseball: Ritvik Vaghaiwalla: Oh boy, another Amir character that is of South East Asian decent who has cultural disagreements with Americans. This one was just bad. It wasn't that funny and missed the mark for me. ![]() ![]() Bernie Sanders: Phone Test: I'm not a huge Bernie Sanders fan (I don't have any problems with his views or his politics) but this sketch just made me feel sad. Piotr played him too sad struggling to figure out that phone. It came off as "Ha ha old senile guy can't use phone", which made me feel sad. I don't know why they did this, or why they felt the need to do this sketch. I guess when you are doing two MADtv classics in an episode, any cheap sketch that can take up time is worth it. ![]() ![]() ![]() PSA: Adele: They really had nothing for the end of this episode. What happened, did CW pull the budget out from under them unexpectedly here? They had nothing for the last fourth of this episode. ![]() ![]() ![]() Close: Never had More Fun: A closing is a closing. At least they brought it back by saying that the show was the most fun they ever had, which can't be true, because considering they had 2 classics at the end, and only did 3/4's of an episode, it could not have been the most fun they have ever had. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Out of a possible 55 stars, this episode got 35, which brings it to a D, and it does feel like it. The last few sketches really brought this average down. Outside of Cap and Mary, there was not much here. This is probably the first or second worst episode of the season. It's running the same track as episode one. As for the best cast member in this episode, I don't know. Jeremy I guess, because of how much I love Jeremy. __________________ ![]() ![]() Planet MADtv (August 28th 2002- August 28th 2009, August 28th 2010)
