Son, because I place a higher importance on having a son than I do a daughter.

and its not like I'd abort if I found out I was preggers with a girl, but its the way my culture works for the most part.

Not every Hispanic thinks this way, but for the most part, the Hispanic culture is a male-centered/dominated culture.

Boys are favored because they can carry on the family name. Girls cannot.

Well with my Hispanic Family they also expect a dominate male instead of a girl but it does not always come out to what they want it to be.

To be true, that is kind of the reason why I would like a boy. Also, I just don't think I would be able to relate to the girl. I mean it would still be hard with the boy, but not as hard as it would be with the girl.

Since neither is not an option, I'll take son. Teenage girls can be unbelievable ****s and I would really hate dealing with a daughter in that age bracket. I follow the logic that male pets are usually easier to take care of so male humans should probably be the same way.
