Possibly airing this episode is a Red Carpet Special with Ike and Debra at the Daredevil Premier and they interview Ben Affleck.

Ike and Debra? That's a strange pairing.

They've already done Michael and Debra because of the abscence of Will and Alex. The previous skit with Michael and Debra was pretty good, so I have high hopes for Ike and Debra.

I just think Ike and Debra is an odd pairing. I would've thought if they were going to use Debra, it would be with one of the show's regulars, especially the pre-season 7 vets; but Ike's really new in the game, and Debra's been there since the beginning.. plus if they were gonna do someone really new like that, they should've used someone who blends with the cast better, like Josh.

It has to be someone really flamboyant and outgoing like Alex and Will were. Ike has tried to be good in these cases like the Puddle of Mudd thing and that interview with those girls but he's simply not funny but thinks it anyway. He thinks he's all that and a bag of chips but in this case, we can't even eat just one. Sorry Ike, take a hike!

Ewwwww!!!! Ryan Seacrest, he was terrible! Absolutely horrible guest star!! Oh well, at least it isn't Bryan Dunkleman, who managed to be even worse. I'm assuming that Supergrass will be a musical guest, blah. They shouldn't have a musical guest when they're reairing 3 sketches, hopefully there won't be an Encore too. To tell you the truth, I'm looking forward to the Stuart sketch. This season, Michael's done new things with him that's made him funny again, and they're not overusing him like they were in the last three seasons, he hasn't appeared since #807 (and it's #816 now). Plus, I was a little worried, because it seemed all of Michael's characters were coming to an end, meaning him leaving next season.. the last Stuart sketch, he floated away and Doreen passed out, Marvin and Ron were sentenced to death, and Depressed went into a coma. I certainly wouldn't mind not having Ron and Depressed, but I like the other two characters well enough this season. |

Actually, Supergrass has been around quite awhile. I know that they have done a lot of soundtracks, such as Clueless. I didn't know that they had done anything recently. This could be the best performance on MADtv this season, but I don't know if they are any good anymore though. My top 3 performances ever on MADtv are No Doubt, Bush, and Green Day. They were all great. Most of the stuff they have now sucks, but that's okay.
I really do think that musical performances boost the shows ratings, so we shouldn't really complain. Especially considering that this is the tribute to music episode, I think it's fitting to have a musical performance. __________________ Matt (the OTHER one) "If you want to be a better actor - a better lawyer, doctor, teacher - anything - be a better human being." ~ Debra Wilson |

I didn't care for the Stuart In the Park sketch because there was no foil and no plot to the sketch. Stuart didn't annoy anyone so it didn't work like the Kindergarten or Birthday sketch.
I bet Ryan Seacrest is on the show to do an American Idol parody where they air the show's worst performances. That would be a great sketch! __________________ I'm actually a really nice girl in real life. |

There was a foil, the balloon guy. Well, he wasn't a full-out foil, but he was still one. Quote:
I'm not sure what you're saying here - that it didn't work just like those two sketches didn't work, or it didn't work just like the two did work. But the Kindergarten one indeed had a foil - the teacher. I actually liked that Stuart sketch, surprisingly; the plot was pretty weak but it was more enjoyable than most of the rest of the Stuart crap from the two seasons before. The birthday one, I actually thought it was okay, but that one definitely had no foil. If they're gonna have to have musical performances, then they should have the musicians actually do something on the show (like Xzibit did). I absolutely hate it when they just have them come on and do nothing, and especially when there's two musical performances, which is just hella lazy. |
