Agreed. I take comfort, however, in knowing that he has a nice, warm commune to return home to.

Okay, why on Satan's red Earth did military Lyndsey not pass her audition? Maybe I'm just thinking with my nether region again, but damn, she was the best one tonight. Cabaret, my silver-haired ass -- that little hottie could blow! (I really need to shy away from the double entendres. ) Oh, but they'll put through Belma and Tovah-with-the-tie-around-his-head, as well as little, ano Blondie with a rendition of "Good Morning, Heartache" that would make Billie Holiday squirm in her heroin-soaked grave. Foul, I cry -- FOUL!

Yeah, they're from the newest episode. Naturally, there are some other banner moments, but I'll let you be (un)pleasantly surprised.

Lol that episode was awesome. I thought that girl with the big boobs and blue dress could sing, but apparently she murdered that Whitney Houston song. Lol @ the boy singing "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going".

BAH, I am so over auditions. Thank God next week is the last week of them.

I didn't see last night but tonight has had some really good people. I liked that asian girl...Ramille I think her name was?

I like the fact that they've cut down on the bad people this year, but auditions are still way too long. Next season, cut them down to 2 weeks, MAYBE 2 and a half, and extend Hollywood to 2 weeks (1 and a half at the least). Auditions get really old fast for me. -_-

Yeah, but Rurry, you're easily jaded.

I like Ramille too. The two black girls can sing too, although I like the blond one better. Wow, is it just me, or do this year's auditions feature a high number of potentially good singers who basically commit performance suicide by trying to ham things up and/or ape certain singers they've heard on the radio? I mean, there have been a number of these in the part; however, this year, it seems that a deadly outbreak of identity crisis has really plagued the auditions this time around. Of course, a number of them just plain suck sewer water; but we'll always have them, now, won't we?

Oh, and I couldn't help laughing till I cried when Little Miss "American Juniors" fell flat on her overly suntanned face. She must have thought that those credentials alone would get her through the audition: "Ooh, I sang on you guys' little kiddie glee-club summer replacement series. Touch me!" However, instead of being a shoo-in, she turned out to be...err...umm...shoo...uh...shoe-poo. Yeah. (Not one of my better segues...just shuttie. ) Oh, you attitudinal teenagers crack me up!

Guess who forgot to reconnect the TV after a morning thunderstorm and subsequently missed tonight's "AI"? No, no, take your time -- this is really easy to figure out. From what I saw of last night's previews, however, it looked like some kind of rec(r)ap episode; I hope I'm right. If I'm wrong, then I have a rubber knife ready for wrist-cutting. You may scoff, but after seventeen days of trying, I'm sure to make a tiny dent in at least one small vein. Fifty-three days of wrist-squeezing later, we're talking five drops of blood on the kitchen floor. Ten years down the road, a major hemorrhage and blackout will surely follow.

The good news? At least my pratfall won't occur during a crappy audition.

Mizzi, last night was a "best of the rest" episode. They took the best unseen auditions from all of the audition cities, good or bad, and stuck 'em all in an episode, probably so they could show more of the top 24. And I guess it was a success because apparently, they actually showed ALL of the top 12 girls in the auditions this year, and 6 of the top 12 guys.

Ugh, well, shootsies. Here's hoping that some YouTubers were kind enough to post some high/lowlights.

EDIT: That would be a "no" for now.

Yeah, but I think that "AI" is planning to incorporate all of that into just one two-hour episode. Oh well, at least that beats the one one-hour episode that we got last season.

Yeah, tonight is Hollywood, and tomorrow is the chair episode, which is the show where they choose the top 24.

I'm still on the fence about this season. I've spotted a few ladies I could potentially get behind (Kristy, Kady, Alaina, Cardin...), but, as of this very moment, nobody's catching my eye in quite the same way that Kelly, Carrie, Kellie, and Kat did. I suppose that, to some extent, not being able to predict the winner right out of the chute is for the best, but I really do prefer to have a favorite locked in by this stage. Here's hoping tonight's episode helps narrow the field!

I think this season already is proving to be a lot better then the trainwreck that was S6 - I agree that no one's wowed me yet, but it's still early. I usually don't fall in love with anyone until the top 24.

Since I'm in Ireland, I feel obliged to support the knacker Irish girl with the tattoos.

Amanda, Syesha, Ms. Tattoo, and the guy who sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" (again ) have my immediate attention. I'm sure that here are some other worthwhile contestants, but those are the main ones whom I've found memorable to this point.

I found it interesting that the group auditions were cut this season. Frankly, even stretched out to a two-hour episode, Hollywood "week" still felt too rushed. Even so, I feel the urge to repeat what I'm sure will become an overly repetitive refrain: oh well, at least it's better than last season.
