I saw Red Eye in the theaters the other day. It was soooo good. I recommend it to everybody. Rachel McAdams is a great actress.

Yesterday I watched Cellular and It was actually alot better than I thought it would be. Kim Basinger was really good, considering I've never seen her in anything besides Batman. It's about a stranger who gets a phone call from a woman who's family is in danger and how he helps her. The story ended up being alot more intense than I expected. It was a pretty good movie.

This morning, I watched Alien vs Predator. Yeah, horribly dumb movie and the story was so retarded. But I had to watch, you know? I always thought Predator was badass...even though Alien was much more "piss your pants" terrifying. Oddly enough, the MADtv episode I watched afterwards was 1001, with the Crazy as Hell Movie Review of AVP. It's the little things, folks.

Wow, I had no idea Ethan Hawke was in Alive.... (thats the one with the plane crash and the survivors eat the dead)

Tonight, I watched Natural Born Killers. It's about a glorified couple of mass murderers. I've alway had mixed thoughts about this movie. Part of me, loves the story and the cinematography; the other half just wants Oliver Stone to shut his mouth and take his theories and shove em... But it does make a point about the media shaping how violence comes across to the public but i'm allowed to dislike that egomaniac Stone, right?

Last night I watched Transporter 2, I'm not even sure people knew there was a first one. I didn't even know there was a first one. But you don't have to see the first one to understand the second one. This is a very cool movie. I had no idea what it was about, some friend just wanted me to go with them, so no clue what I was going to see. It's an action movie. With a lot of fist fighting and gun action. And cool stunts and stuff. I don't want to give away the movie though for anyone who wants to see it. But it is a cool movie. The fighting was off da hook. Especially what he did with the water hose. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves Kung-fu/modern/guns style action. It may be a little sci-fi too. Like when he jumped out the window. Freaky! But I don't want to give away too much.

This morning I watched Awakenings with Robin Williams and Robert De Niro. It's about a doctor that figures out how to get a response from seemingly comatose patients.
This was a really great movie with a great (true) story. I'm glad I warched it. It's a real tear-jerker though (well, for me at least.) Damn you Penny Marshall, always getting me bummed out! ...now that I said she directed it no guy would watch this heheh. But it's good.

In my film class I saw the movie Osama. I found the movie very good. Just be forwarned, this is the most hopelessly depressing and heartwrenching movie you're likely to watch in a while. The movie is about a girl living under Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. Women are forbidden to walk the streets alone, let alone work. This causes a problem in the main character's family because her mom's husband is dead and they can either take their chances begging or starve to death. The young girl has her hair cut short so that she can pass as a boy. A problem arises when she is taken to the town's terrorist training camps and the other boys start to catch on that shes a girl. I'm not going to ruin the story or anything, but this movie is based on a true story and really really sad.

Somebody bought me Crash yesterday and watched it for the second time and [still] loved it!

Watched 85% of The Color Purple last night.

And I just got done watching Pink Flamingos.

Last night I watched Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller in Dodgeball.
It's got a few laughs in it, but all in all, it's one of my least favorite Stiller movie.
I mean...dodgeball... But I did love Steve the pirate. I LOVE pirates.

This morning I watched Annie Hall. Typical Woody Allen romance movie. He and Diane Keaton meet, date, break up, get back together over and over. It all comes down to the fact that they're two very different people.
It was still good. It's very funny but I wouldn't say everyone would think that. Not as good as Radio Days but, it'll do.

Ok and i'll let you in on the lowest point of my day. I needed to kill two hours so I watched Shark Tale...heheh.
It's sort of like Finding Nemo but, not. It's all urban. By "urban" I mean Will Smith. I'm kidding, you know what I mean.
So yeah, personally, I din't care for it. Big surprise there. But they did make the characters resemble the actors that voiced them. Martin Scorsese's was hilarious, you could tell right off the bat it was him.

today I bought and Watched Party Monster which IMO is a REALLY good movie....it's a movie that makes you WANT to read the book just to get those extra little details....it was based on a true story which makes the movie THAT much better...the only thing I didn't really like is that I expected Maculay's and Seth's character to interrupt the story more often than it did because of previous films I've seen....but then agian they didn't over do it so it made the movie THAT much better...plus it had really good music....and I was glad that there wasn't any sex in there(since it was rated R) because IMO...I don't watch movies for sex scenes...that's what porn is for...but I liked the costumes and man did they do a LOT of drugs! all in all I reccomend it to anyone that likes the "based on a true story/murder/drug films...

the second movie I got was Saved Which IMO expressed how I view the christian world(because I am one)....and I've actually witnessed a pastor trying to save some dope addicts and just irritated them some more(they just wanted some watermelon).....but I liked the ending somewhat too, because it wasn't like "omg! Mary is at the prom and she's with patrick and her boyfriend that was sent away came to the prom, OOOO there is gonna be a fight!"...I liked how Dean had his date and mary had hers and the ending was just not a typically expected ending, that's what made it so good .....the exorcism part though...

I watched Wrong Turn for the first time last night. I didn't think it was that good, or scary. Infact it was lame.

I rented Cube 3: Cube Zero, I got bored with it. Theres some pretty cool gore, but its a straight to dvd movie for a reason.

I can't wait for Cry_Wolf.

Yeah I know that Caffiene King already said that he saw Crash, but I just wanted to say that it was excellent. I just saw it a few minutes ago and I was blown away. The way the independant stories all kind of converged was really cool and I just really liked they way they dealt with racial prejudice and all sorts of issues that go on in our world today. I cannot reccomend this movie enough to anyone who is considering seeing it. I'd go as far as to say its the best movie made in the past couple years, at least to me.

I watched 60-ish% of Sin City but my friend who I was watching it has been bummed out and (liked the movie) but needed some Law & Order (she's very obsessed with all of the L&O shows)

I watched the first half hour of Raising Arizona and hated it. I didn't find it funny, just annoying and figured (after watching the first half hour of the movie) that it would end of being like that throughout the whole movie so I shut it off.

I thought I'd try and be ethnic and watch Rize. It's about how these black people from the ghettos in compton decide to dance all wild and stuff to stay away from the streets or whatever. There were 2 groups, the Clowns and the Krumpers. The Clowns started the whole thing and stuff and the Krumpers did it too, but it's pretty much the same. And then there's a big competition and the Clowns win and the Krumpers get all angry. And the Krumpers vandalize a home and a girl ends up dead. It's really weird. The weirdest movie I've ever seen. If you like weird dancing, then watch it, I guess? Maybe.

I watched Crash yesterday. Amazing movie. I almost cried. I don't know if I'd ever watch it again though. It was dead-on, rent/buy it.

I watched Boys Don't Cry for my film paper today. I thought it was really, really moving, and although these things don't usually bother me, the sex scenes in this movie were really explicit. Hilary Swank engaging in full-on girl action wasn't something I was expecting. But yeah, great movie. I thought it was funny how the first girl-on-girl interactions in this movie took place after a date at a rollerskating rink ... just like Monster! What is with lesbians and rollerskating rinks? Anybody?

Well I believe we have a few more minutes left on this movie, but in film class we have been watching Zorba the Greek. I believe it was made in the early 60's, its in black and white. Its about this half greek bookworm sort of guy (the boss) going to Crete with this really flamboyant (not in a homosexual way) man named Zorba. They are going to a small village where the Boss owns a mine. The premise is sort of cheesy because Zorba sort of attempts to get the Boss to live life to the fullest and soforth instead of burying himself in a book. Honestly though the actual story is pretty darn good. Its got some pretty odd characters and at times is very funny. Near the end though it gets really sad really quickly. I'm hoping that when we watch the end tomorrow it will at least have somewhat of a happier ending.

If you happen upon this movie at the video store, why not watch it. Its actually pretty good. Lets hope I don't end up having to write an essay on it though

On the weekend, me and my friend went to see The Exorcism of Emily Rose for my birthday.
It's really a courtroom type of movie, the priest who performed an exorcism on this girl is on trial for her death. His defense attorney (an agnostic) has to make a convincing arguement and still let the priest tell this girls story.
Actually, I wasn't too sure I liked it at first. But thinking about it from a non-horror stance, it was actually quite an interesting story. I liked the way they showed both sides of the arguement.
The mechanics of the movie were odd though. The one think that really stuck out was how bad the lighting was. I wish they had shown more of the exorcism and Emily Rose. I had hoped it would be more "scary" as well. But the effects were really good.

(this is an article on the trial it's based on exorcism_of_emily_rose)

Today I watched 12 Angry Men, the original one.
It's about jurors in deliberation of a trial were a Puerto Rican boy is accused of murder. The jurors just want to go home, have things to do, and want to just say he's guilty. But one man refuses, and makes them put aside their stereotypes and racism and find the truth.
This movie is great. I don't know what the story is for the remake but I want to see that as well.

Emily Rose was metal! Lol. She has such a good black metal voice in the scene in the barn when they are exercising her. I thought that scene was really cool. I involuntarily made the metal hands (\m/) during that scene.

We had to watch that movie at school in History, but as far as "School Movies" go I thought it was pretty good.

I've watched SEVERAL movies lately, but I have been to lazy to come and post them! lol I'll just say the one that stood out the most was "Crash". Yes, I'll agree with you Caffeine King, It was an exceptional movie. I felt so bad for Sandra Bullock's character in the end.

Definitely one of the best movies of the year!
