  Michael McDonald plays Marvin Tikvah, an overweight, obnoxious Jewish filmmaker. Marvin is divorced and is the father of three children. Ike Barinholtz played his nerdy, high school-aged son, Sheldon "Shelly" Tikvah, in the sketch "Marvin Tikvah: Father and Son Talk" in episode 807; and Nicole Sullivan played Mindy Tikvah, his grown-up daughter, in the sketch "Marvin Tikvah: Father Daughter Dance" in episode 825. Alex Borstein played Marvin Tikvah's wife in the sketch "Marvin Tikvah: Secretary's Day" in episode 617.
