Debra Wilson was born on April 26th, 1962 in Queens, New York. Her family was a very funny family, who enjoyed laughing a lot, so much to the point that Debra says that her two sisters are even more funnier than she is. "I believe that my sisters are funnier than me. My older sister LaSet is definitely funnier than me, and I came from a family that did laugh a lot. Were very serious at times, but we did laugh a lot." She got into sketch comedy when she went to go see an improv comedy troupe doing a show nearby. During the show the troupe asked for a volunteer. No one in the audience would volunteer, so Debra put up her hand up and became a part of the sketch. The troupe and the time had no black women, and Debra showed such promise that they asked her immediately after the show if she would join. Debra said no at first, because she felt it would interfere with her job at New York Parks and Recreations Department, but then agreed later when she was told that it would not affect her day job. In this troupe, Debra learned how to do sketch, improv, and writing. When the group was done, Debra played around with other groups, including The Apollo Comedy Hour, and The Uptown Comedy Club. In 1995, Debra was told by a friend that there was a new pilot for a sketch comedy show, and that she wanted her to audition with her. That show was MADtv, and to Debra's surprise she was given one of the 8 spots on the show. At first, Debra didn't want to do the show due to fear. She stated "I didn't want to do the show, and that was based on fear and low self-esteem. I really didn't want to do the show, because everything I had done comedy wise in New York, it had gone a certain distance and then it stopped". Also, Debra had done 3 shows already that had failed, and she had gotten so use to the failure, that she feared MADtv would also be a failure. Along with this, Debra still had her Parks and Recreations job, and if she took MADtv, she would have to give up that job. Debra, however, was able to swallow that fear, and took the job. To Debra's luck, MADtv was a success, but for Debra, she did have a problem on the show. Going into the shows 4th season, Debra was one of only 3 original players (the others being Phil LaMarr, and Nicole Sullivan) still on the show, but out of the 3 of them, she was the only one who had not been in every episode since the shows incarnation, and she had yet to create one long lasting character. Debra attributes this to herself caring too much. So in season 4, Debra stated "I stopped caring about being wanted, I stopped caring about trying to be the funniest, I stopped caring about how many sketches I was going to do, I stopped caring, I surrendered. Once I chose that, and I accepted that, and I embraced that's when everything else tended to come to me. That's when writers said "I want to work on things", that's when things started to open up creatively.". And things did start to open up creatively, as in that season Debra created some of her most well known characters, including Bunifa Latifah Halifah Sharifa Jackson, and Melina of Lida and Melina. After the shows 6th season, fellow original Nicole left the show to peruse other acting roles. With Phil gone the previous season, this made Debra the last remaining original cast member on MADtv. Debra would hold this title for another 2 seasons, before leaving the show after the 8th season. To this day, Debra still holds many records on the show including the record for longest serving female cast member, and the only black female cast member to go the full 5 years (considered the benchmark for many cast members) on the show. After MADtv, Debra moved on and did little things in Hollywood. She made constant appearances on E! list shows, and in 2006, Debra got a role on the TV Guide show TV Watercooler; however, she was replaced in October of 2006 by Teresa Strasser. However, despite all these roles, one thing was missing from Debra's life: love. She had looked everywhere for it, but after not finding it, and going to lengths like paying $10,000 at a dating service, she thought she would never find that true love. But like she did with MADtv, Debra surrendered, and 2 weeks later, Cliff Skelton came to her door. Cliff Skelton is a screenplay writer and director, and was currently living in Vancouver, Canada when he met Debra. Cliff met Debra at her home. He had a movie that he had been able to get funding for from the Canadian Film Board to make, and wanted Debra to be in the film. Debra liked the film because it was not a comedy, but a sociological thriller. Debra also had a feeling that Cliff was going to be the man she was going to marry, and after a few months of dating, they were married in April of 2006. In 2009, Debra was the unknown insperation for the higest grossing film of all time. In 2007, famed director James Cameron of Terminator 2, and Titanic fame chose her to be one of the prototype models for the Navi tribe for his new movie Avatar, according to the book on the making of the film called The Art of Avatar. Along with this distinction, Debra was also given an non-speaking role in the movie, and is seen frequently through the film. In only a little over a month, the movie became the highest grossing movie of all time. With the popularity of the film, and the evolution it made to the film industry in the way of its use of CGI, Debra's unknown prominate role in the famed film may one day get recognized for how truly influential her role was to the film. MADtv was Debra's first long lasting role in Hollywood, and she would not forget the show that made her famous, as she would return to MADtv 4 different times after leaving the show in seasons 10, 13, and 14. As seen, what Debra learned while on MADtv, has helped her out throughout her life. By learning to surrender, and not caring as much as she use to about everything, she was able to stabilize herself on MADtv, and find the love of her life. If anyone watched (or taped) the American Idol concert show the other night (Ya know, the qualifying round, not the elimination round) you may have seen Debra. She was front and centre with her golden dreadlocks. I'mma try and get a screen cap off someone at the site this was posted, but I highly doubt it is possible
 They're a pack of c**ts  Apparently she has been spotted at shows since season 1- But does that surprise anyone? She's supposedly good friends with Paula and Randy and there have been alot of Idol/ Mad TV tie ins (Moreso with Idol on Mad TV than the other way around...lol)
