Post The Ike Barinholtz Timeline

When season 11 began Ron Pederson, and Paul Vogt, two acquisitions made in season 8 had both left the show. The new season 8 castmembers were looking like they were going to not be worth the comedy gold they were hired on, but one castmember made it all worthwhile. The castmember I am talking about is Ike Barinholtz. Being the only person to last all 5 years of his contract, Ike brought something to the show that gave it a new flavour. He had great impression skills, and used what he had to his advantage. The unique thing he brought to the show was his Jewish back round. No person truly utilized the Jewish faith on the show as much and as well as Ike did. He knew that if he was going to survive on the show, he needed to play that card, and he did, successfully for 5 years. This timeline will chronicle his 5 year stay at MADtv. Though Ike was what I would think in the popular consensus as a favourite castmember, no one can deny that his presences on the show was appreciated. Even now as I look back to season 13, I think that the show may have been better with Ike in it. It's odd, when he was a castmember I didn't think he was that great, but now that he's gone, I miss him more than ever, but this timeline will show how great Ike was on the show, and how the show just wouldn't have been quite the same without him. Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you, the Ike Barinholtz Timeline!
P.S. One problem with Ike's timeline is that Ike was more impression oriented, than character oriented, therefore it is going to be hard to highlight a lot of moments for him, as if I were to do an impression timeline for him it would take forever (he is second to only Michael McDonald in celebrity impressions). He did create some characters though, so I will highlight those, but this is just a warning, there are not going to be any Ike impressions in this timeline.

May 19, 2007: Ike does his last episode as a castmember on MADtv. His last sketch would be him playing Astroman sketch, which would be the last time he would do the sketch, and the last time he would do a recurring character. Watch the sketch

Life after MAD
Due to the fact that Ike only left us a year ago, he hasn't been able to do much outside of MADtv. He does stand up comedy across the United States of America, was in the movie Meet the Spartans, and is in the upcoming film Disaster Movie.
No matter how famous or unfamous Ike gets, let's hope he doesn't forget the show that got him there, the show where he spent 5 years, and outlasted everyone in his group of feature players, MADtv. Here is someone hoping that Ike makes a guest star appearance soon. I am sure no one here would say boo to that.

Ike is really funny, I first got to know him via the 'Jeopardy' sketch where he played Alex Trebek, and then loved the Abercrombie and Fitch skits. He really cracked me up, and it was rather disappointing he didn't return for Season 13.

Once again, great job, tvman, and keep 'em coming!

lolwut.

It doesn't seem like Ike did very many impressions, if any at all. He always played the straight man characters, and I can only think of Dane Cook as his only good impression. Besides that, I don't think he did as many impressions as Michael (Michael did a bunch of impressions too!?).

I feel like Jordan has the most impressions under his belt over Ike.

Regardless, I do enjoy reading the time lines.

Ike was great, I loved him in the Season 12 ep 22 opening... Smiling when he has 'mutilated' a castmember at the end haha.

Sadly, we never got to see him again after that episode...
