[MADtv] "The National" to air Ron Pederson interview tonight

Mad Dog writes, "Ron Pederson will appear in a short news segment on CBC's "The National" Friday night at 10:00 pm to outline his career as a Canadian comedian and his new job on MADtv." Here's the official word from CBC.ca:

CBC's Tom Alderman brings the story of a latest in a long line of Canadian comic talents to score big on American TV. But unless you're from Edmonton and a follower of a small improv company of local actors, you probably never heard of Ron Pederson.

How did he grab one of the choicest gigs in U.S. TV comedy?

"I just went in there and just kind of fell on the floor and humped the wall and, you know, shot my pants and they were laughing," says Pederson.

I saw this and it was really interesting especially to here the commentary from Joe Flarehty (I can't spell) from SCTV talking about the Die Nasty cast. It will be interesting to see how Ron's 5 characters do on MADtv whenever they air them. If he can do good celeb impressions too, he's so guarenteed a perminant cast spot.
