I heard about the Halo 2 Windows patch but I didn't know it was out yet. I still won't get it though. Halo is teh not funzz. I remember reading that some 19 year old was making the patch for Halo 2 and STALKER also.

I remember avoiding playing some games because they were scaring me/psyching me out... good times.

What does stalker need with a patch? I don't think its DX10 as I am playing an unpatched version on XP right now.

STALKER is more eerie than scary but one thing that does freak me out is that I just had a mission in an area that was marked as high "psi emission" and I got on youtube to look up what that meant and it means that you'll be walking around in claustrophobic, dim tunnels and a telepathic mutant thing will take control of your mind and scare the hell out of you. No thanks to that mission

Ok not Stalker sorry, I think it was Shadowrun, does that make more sense? I know it stated with an S but I don't think I'm gonna hunt down the article...

STALKER kinda sounds like Eternal Darkness which was very, very good.

Anyone own a 360 yet? Volt and I could use some Live cannon fodder.

That's understandable -- I wouldn't want to go up against someone as unfathomably skilled as me either.

But you don't have Live, so you don't count.

So did anyone else buy The Orange Box? Team Fortress 2 is pretty damn fun so far.

I'm considering grabbing it for 360. Does it support cross-platform multiplayer?

It better not. You 360 owners should have to use separate swimming pools and drinking fountains than us PC gamers

You're just jealous that my continued lack of a suitable PC forces me to futz around with an unnatural, clumsy control scheme that's sure to result in goose egg after goose egg until I finally come to terms with the fact that I just can't get around either footing the $700 bill for a video card that will be obsolete the second I unwrap it or putting a gun in my mouth and ending this controller-induced nightmare once and for all. Don't even try to deny it.

Well, I guess that's one sure-fire way to avoid frustration -- switch to a console that doesn't have any games with which to be frustrated.

Nintendo Mario Games (especially ones on Nintendo 64) > retarded war games that are no fun on XBox/Playstation

There's my video game comment of the year.

*checks calendar* Weird, I could have sworn it was 1986. Must have been all the Mario talk. Gaming has advanced by leaps and bounds but some people are still content with a fat Italian plumber that can shoot fireballs. It will never cease to amaze me

Mario > everything, for sure. Especially Mario Kart (Super Nintendo version). If I'm stuck in the past, so be it

For me, no video game console will EVER be better than Atari 5200. It had classic arcade games and graphics so true that your adolescent mind couldn't help wondering if Atari was ever sued for copyright infringement. Why, oh why, did the @#$#%!$#@ joystick have to stop working? (Fast forward to twenty years later, and I'm still asking myself that same question, although for different reasons.) As for video games themselves, I'll take Pac-Man over just about anything else out there. Animated scrotum eating power dots = hours of fun. Old skool all the way!

(Hahahahahahaha, the old geezer is so fu(cking lame!)
