This is serious guys. Over the weekend I was at some emulation sites downloading games, and now I get a porn site as my home page every time I go to internet explorer. I've got spyware too, but I'll save that for another question. Anyway, I'm starting to get a little scared now because certain sites I go to now (mainly other forums) are telling me I have trojans in my computer ranging from low to extreme high.

Anyway, my question is, can anyone reccomend any trojan removers (CWShredder is supposedly not working anymore because the guy who made it had some bugs to fix and HiJack This found it but didn't do anything). I'd really appreciate it. I need it as soon as possible because I don't want my computer to completely screw up on me. I mean, then, you guys wouldn't have your buddy MADfan2004 around, and NOBODY wants that, right?

I'd really appreciate it, but if you can't reccomend anything (that's free, mind you), don't even worry about it.

Free? Gosh I don't know...

For the Spyware, you can of course use AdAware (get it from www.Download.com) But Trojans, thats pretty critical. I use Norton to get rid of my trojans, but its not free. Sorry man.

do you have an antivirus program already? If so, that should be able to remove them. If you dont, you can downlaod a FREE one. Its that AVG Antivirus, from www.grisoft.com That should take care of it. And for the spyware, i would download Adaware like ef said.

I take it you are using internet explorer?

if so, go to:

Tools > Internet Options > Content > Auto Complete > Then uncheck "forms"

That should do it for you!

Okay I have a Question....I Downloaded this .zip file and the contents are a RM file...I was wondering if it was possible to convert it so I Could have it able to play in Windows media player...Cause It only plays in Real Player and that's on my mom's computer and i can't download/install programs....So is it possible to convert the file...but if not is there a way to get screen caps in real player?...cause the file doesn't work in Windows movie maker...so I was wondering if you could do this stuff...so yeah...Thanks!

It's possible, but I don't know if you can do it. Usually the person that made the file does that.


Anyway, I was wondering--if my Internet Explorer home page got hijacked, and I switched to another browser (like Firefox), would the Firefox home page be hijacked too?

If you use Mozilla Firefox then it won't get hijacked.....


You can always fix the hijacked IE page by running a spyware program

Thanks. I just installed firefox a few minutes ago. So far so good, but only time will tell.

Anyway, on WIndows XP, at the top of the Start menu, there's an internet option, and it usually has Internet Explorer. Where do I go to change it to Firefox? Also, how does tabbing work?

How the heck do you import a video form the TV you recorded onto a computer? Tell me specifically.

If you mean VHS Cassete tapes, I've seen some hardware where you put your VHS tape in and it'll transfer it. I'm not sure exactly how it works, though.

Okay this is "Kinda of" a computer question...but I have to change the background of a picture from like different colors to white so i can use paint and it'll be tansparent....and I don't want to erase because these are kinda detailed pictures...it's not like a square it's people...I was wondering is there an easier way to do that with out messing up the shapes or could someone just do it for me if i send them the pictures?....I need this done ASAP so if some one could help me...Please?

My friend asked me how to block a single site from his computer (lack of will power?). We tried the 'Internet Options' in his OS but it's not working. I'm very confused so, if you have any ideas, that would be appreciated.
