I got a text from him while I was at the bar last night, he told me he was going to bed and he hoped I was having a good night. I have a feeling he thinks I'm gonna bail and he is texting me to make sure I haven't ditched my phone somewhere.

I forgot Mad Men is on tonight, so I will use that as an excuse if I really want to leave. Or maybe something involving the hamster.

So yah, I finished my show so lets do this..

When I was getting ready this evening, I got myself into an attitude and was really dreading it. To be fair if he wasn't so clingy I wouldn't have been so flighty about it. But I knew I was being unfair and judgmental and I wasn't even out the door yet so I stopped being a bitch for once and got my ass to the subway.

I got there, and we had some beers and talked. It was okay. He didn't drop as many weird comments about video games and The Office as he did in his texts or the first time we met. Then we got sushi CAUSEHE'SASIAN or cause it was down the block. More talking. I got a text from my friend but I didn't answer it cause I ain't that kinda ho.

I really tried to pay for the next round of drinks or something, but he wouldn't let me. I always feel weird/bad about that.

When we were leaving, I decided that I would walk him to his subway station and then I was like "Oh wtf I'll take this train too" and of course I get out and it's totally not where I was planning on being and I had to walk all the way across town. I got a donut for the walk, if you care.

So you know, I text him, "Nice seeing you/Good time/Hope you got your train" and he responds with similar niceties. But then like, 6 more messages. Oy. I just fucking hate texting.

So all in all, it was okay. He's a nice guy. We had a few awkward pauses but whatev. I would pass on a second date, and I hope he feels the same cause I don't want to have to get myself outta that mess. I'm just bad at this stuff.

Now your turn Nem. Make it good, cause mine was lame.

The only time I really made myself look like an asshole is when my navigationally-challenged ass followed my sabotaging whore of a GPS unit's advice to the movie theater. We wound up in the middle of an industrial park with no theater in site. I had her be my navigator using my phone so: fuck you Garmin. Thank you Google.

She was actually really cool about it since she's navigationally retarded too (but I guess gets more of a pass since she's a woman?) We saw Inception, we didn't get popcorn, and I did not ask for a beej. We also went back to her place and walked her dogs around this nature trail for a few hours. We deftly avoided at least 10 dogfights from assholes not having their dogs on leashes. Yep.

That actually sounds pretty good. I never get to walk on trails with dogs. I don't have a dog though so that might be a hurdle.
Also, she kept you around afterwards and thats always a good sign.

10 minutes later.... more phone buzzing.

I'd say there could be potential. Especially if she works with you, because then i'm pretty sure she already picked up on your work schedule.

I used to go to school with this guy that worked at the student lounge and I memorized his schedule so I could have my coffee and talk to him between classes. We would always bump into each-other at odd times. For three years. It was uncanny. When he graduated, I was sad that I was never going to see him again even though we joked we would end up being neighbors in the same crackhouse.
At the beginning of this summer, we bumped into each-other again, at the corner of my block in Brooklyn, he had moved nearby. At that point I wanted to yell "GOD IS WILLING US TO MAKE OUT!" But I didn't. He said he would invite me to his place sometime but he never did of course. He knows lots of girls that are are taller and very pretty anyway so y'know. Whatev.

As for the car thing, of course you don't have a car Pita. You live in New York. No one drives in New York. There's too much traffic.

There are never free parking space. I think owning a car here is absurd. But I would like to learn how to drive. Just incase I want to go somewhere.
