I don't get twitter. What happens? By what I understand people just post tiny messages like text messages and put them on the internet. Has anyone noticed that the newest, popular sites always seems to have technology that so low? First there was Myspace, which I will give it credit was original, but after that it just got worse, like Facebook. Facebook you just post pictures. There is nothing original about it. Now twitter. Which sounds like you can't even say full sentences. I don't need any of that see-rap. All I need is Planet MADtv.

I'd say Facebook perfected MySpace. Then Twitter streamlined and simplified Facebook.

Agree on Facebook/MySpace, disagree on Facebook/Twitter. Twitter only really replicates the status update aspect of Facebook but offers a lot of novel ways on how to receive that information. Facebook overall is an incredibly well written/managed application. It would be 100% awesome if they used some quality control on their apps so I didn't have to get 900 invites to stupid apps nobody should ever use. Anything is better than MySpace though.

Question about Twitter. I see that some networks have there own accounts, what would they be able to write on them, they are not people. I know Discovery Channel has a Twitter page, but what would be put on it, like "Discovery channel is now running Myth Busters, and will be running another movie about a world catastrophe". What else can they say?

I have a Twitter but I rarely if ever use it as I find it as one of the most pointless pieces of crap in existance. Virtually nobody I know in real life is on it and I don't really care about the day to day lives of celeberties.

There's something I don't get about Twitter. Twitter allows you to comment on things in 140 characters or less, yet the info typing section on Facebook allows you to do the same thing only with no character restriction, so if Facebook can do that, what's the point of Twitter?
