if you define "reason" as "cause", yes, there is a cause for everything that happens. a person's death was caused by another person pulling a trigger, by a tree limb falling on them, by lightning striking in the same location they are, etc.
is there a good reason for everything that happens? no, this world is not that great, although a lot of people try to fool themselves into believing it is |

People who state factually that everything happens for a reason are in fact idiots. StopThatTicking is correct in that everything happens due to a cause, but that's never what people mean when they say it. What they typically use the phrase for is to somehow pretend like bad news is either precursor to good news or as some sort of religious saying. Either way, FEH.

If things happened for a reason, i'd love to know the reasoning behind it.
As most of you you know, i've had cancer. Last month, I got another kind. I mean, wtf is that about? Deal with it. I've never been one to wonder why shit always happens to me or someone I know, because I just don't care. It happens, I deal, and then I move on. __________________ I would rather sit here and accomplish nothing than accomplish something and be considered an inspiration and a role model simply because I use a wheelchair to get around. |
