Default The last show I saw was...

Ok so in honour of mine seeing some awesome shows on Broadway in NYC, I decided to make this thread for people to share their opinions on recent plays, musicals, etc. that they have seen.

I recently saw Wicked and Spamalot in the broadway capital: NYC!!

Wicked was amazing.... I absolutely loved it. It had such a wonderful storyline, and everyone was outstanding in their roles. Not to mention the set was absolutely spectacular. So much green... I loved it!!!!

Just when I thought there was no topping the trip with Wicked, Spamalot blows me away. I loved this. It was very humourous and entertaining, and the tunes were very catchy. Sara Ramirez is AMAZING. She was by far the best of the show, and I can honestly say without a doubt she is the best singer I have EVER heard. Alan Tudyk was also really good, he was hilarious in all the roles he did.

Needless to say I bought both Soundtracks

lol but i saw it in Chicago with Ana Gesteyer. I was so IMPRESSED! It was so awesome. The singing, the costumes, the set, and the acting was all amazing. I would see it every weekend if I was a millionare! It was such a magical experience! dont make fun of me.. lol.. but yeah I'd totally see it again.

My favorite song was defying gravity and umm...No One mourns the wicked..EEE

I saw Hairspray in New York. Very good. I have heard nothing but good reviews about Wicked and Spamalot.

I too saw Wicked in Chicago with Ana Gasteyer. Most awesome moment of the show? Her spit actually landed on me! Woo!

Ana's a wonderful singer and she really knows how to work the stage.

I was amazed at how detailed all of the costumes were, everything from string to sequins seemed to be in the perfect place. The special effects and the flying monkeys were also very impressive. I love listening to the soundtrack, especially "Defying Gravity" and "Popular".

Thursday I saw Our School's Performance Of Suessical...it was okay, you know, for a High School Performance(i'm almost 100% positive the Professional Perfomance was more dazziling) one song got really annoying Alone in the universe...I mean soo annoying, all though, again, If it was a professional performance I'm sure it'd be less annoying...But I thought Peter(he played the cat) did a good job as him, and the Girl that played gertrude was good...and my friends boyfriend was looking sharp as one of the Wickershams(he was wearing a leather jacket and aviator glasses)...besides that the show was so so...

But there are some shows I would like to see on actual broadway, like Rent, Reefer Madness and Wicked they seem like really good shows...sadly I live in a ****ty town that, even though it's the perfect local from Madison, Milwaukee AND chicago...I don't have rides to and fro so I can never see any shows

Um, I saw Peter Pan when I was about 10. That was the last play I've been to. X_X

I was going to go to Dirty Dancing when it was here last month but the cheap seats were like 70 bucks and I only kinda like the movie, so I scratched that idea. The show I would most like to go to in the whole world would be The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Love. that. Shyt.

I'm going to see Wicked with some friends next month in Detroit. Our tickets suck, but we couldn't afford the $75 ones. It'll still be fun. I hear it is a great show.

My most recent theatre experience was a few years ago when I saw a Quasi-local performance of Macbeth

Macbeth is a great play. I've seen A Midsummer Nights Dream as well but Macbeth is my favorite.

Thane of Cawdor ya'll...lol

The last show I saw was...

Oliver!

At the Stratford Festival Theatre... They did a really good job! Nancy was awesome, but Dodger was definately the best... and he was only like 12 years old YO!! Yeah, really good.... AMAZING singers... awesome set and costumes, and spectacular choreography... and very catchy songs, still got them stuck in my head

although i could've done without the asian Oliver...

EL OH EL!! JAY KAY!! Oliver wasn't Asian!!! that would be dumb

Couldn't resist throwing that in... if any of you think I'm crazy then you missed the last Coach Hines sketch...

oh jeeeez. I goto a school with an arts program, and I'm in technical theatre. So I work tons of shows. Sweet Charity, Wicked, Dracula, and Westside Story were a few the program has done this year.

Bump...

The last two I saw were 'Fame Becomes Me' (jealous?) and my school did Trainspotting during the summer and it was brought back a week or so ago for an encore so I saw it. It was awesome how it was executed, I hadn't seen the movie before seeing the play so it was a pretty cool experience.

Oh and Tuesday night I'm going to see a presentation of King Leir at school.

Since the title is "The last show I saw was... ", I think concerts should count too.

Here's some 'shows' I've seen.

A Day in the Garden (Anniversary of Woodstock @ Original Site)
Lollapalooza 03 (w/ The Donnas, Jurassic 5, Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Audioslave and Jane's Addiction)
Tool
Nine Inch Nails
Marilyn Manson
A Perfect Circle (2 times)
Mindless Self Indulgence (2 times)
