Best/worst stand-up comic?

Hey guys, I was wondering whats everybody's fave stand up comedian.?
I have many at the moment. and I hope you guys dont mind me giving a reason
Dane Cook- hes a hack claim the media. But hes a funny hack. And he's from Boston, MA!!
Kathy Griffin- so funny. Lucky enough to see her ...Is Not Nicole Kidman comedy show and Ive been hooked ever since. What a hoot!
Lisa Lampanelli- The reason I watch the Comedy Central roasts. Shes like watching an old lady slip. You shouldnt laugh but its oh so funny.!
Dave Chappelle- Hilarious.
Wanda Sykes- The female version of Katt Williams. Shes funny and endearing too.
George Carlin- doesnt need an introduction by me! Hes excellent. Pioneer. RIP
Mitch Hedburg- I would of loved to of seen him live. His funny oneliners will never be forgotton. Gone far too soon. RIP
Bill Hicks- Again, gone too soon. He made everyday subjects like, religion and politics funny, RIP
Pablo Francisco- How can you not find his movie guy voice funny? Ha also MADtv alum! Great vocal talent and alot of the time, what he says is true!
Sarah Silverman- Queen of insults. Acid tongued comedy was never this good!

Worst
Margaret Cho- I just dont find her funny!
Janeane Garofalo-ditto
Rita Rudner- she reminds me of my mother.
Carlos Mencia- Far too OTT and annoying for my liking. His Tv show is fine but his stand up is terrible.

Sean Cullen: But I guess since he was with Corky and the Juice Pigs, I guess he kind of counts in the MADtv section.

Bad Ones
Dane Cook: He's a kids comedian playing in the big world.
Steve Bryne: He isn't very funny.

Dane Cook hate? Get outta town! Yeah he is funny, but perhaps fame has gotten to his head? Just a suggestion..., But hey, Ike Barinholtz as Dane is pretty darn funny!

Thank you for agreeing that Carlos Mencia is in the worst list, also he should be in the list for most OBNOXIOUS stand up comic ever! I kinda liked his Comedy Central special but that's it.
Also, I cant believe I left out Chelsea Handler! Im lost without Chelsea Lately!
Also, I really liked Aisha Tyler. Ive seen her once and ever since been looking if she's doing another stand up gig. People should check her out, shes more than Charlie from Friends!

Would love to hear from more people, especially their reasons for their choices!
Also, would like to hear any recommendations, as I like watching stand up!

Dave Chappelle is highly overrated. I just don't think he's very funny.

Honorable mentions to Mike Birbiglia, Greg Geraldo, Rich Vos, Patrice O'neal, Mad TV's own Bobby Lee and Dane Cook........That's right Dane Cook. Say what you want about his material (which i never was big on either), but the guy is one hell of a performer. Can't wait for his new stuff to come out.

I got to see Janeane Garofalo and David Cross earlier in the year and I think they are always awesome. Ted Alexandro and Joe Matarese are very good too.


I liked when Jon Stewart did stand up, he was pretty good. Obviously George Carlin. Chris Rock still has it imo. Um Louis C.K., Nick Swarsdon I kinda dig too. There's probably alot more I like but i'm too lazy to think.

I saw Amy Schumer and I dunno why she won that Last Comic Standing. What the hell ever.
Jon Fisch is ok I guess, I was drunk when I saw him.

I don't really think about Dane Cook, but he's not that good imo.
Chelsea Handler I see is up here, I'd love to know how she got her own show. I also drink and I'm a lot funnier, give me a damn show.
Also, I saw Kristen Schaal, not impressed with her stand up nor her "comedic" acting.

A lot of comedians aren't funny but most I'm thinking of really aren't that known. I think comedians are easily overrated or you're just sick of seeing.
For instance, I hate Paul F Thompkins, but I saw him, I gotta say he got a laugh out of me.
