Default My Review

Show Opening: Silence of the Spears: Not bad. I love the Kevin Federline working for Amway plot, and Britney's tattoo was great too. Only MADtv would think of something that brilliant. The highlight was the Cheeto's tattoo.

The Ballad: Alright, but defiantly a weak sketch. The highlight was Bobby bowling over children.

Steve Jobs Reveals the iRack #1: This sketch was great! So creative, and current! This sketch was so good and funny, that my teacher even showed it in my history class, and everybody loved it! It's also a youtube hit, which is equally important. Genus, funny, and just plain good. One of the highlight sketches in the history of the show.

Silent Vengeance: Really good. I love Crista's Heidi. The highlight was that her characters name was Trista Hannigan. Trista Hannigan! I mean come on!

Tired: Didn't hit me. Not that funny.

Shark Cam: Funny. Michael was great in this. The highlight was Michael's reactions as Bradley eats his son, and drowns him.

Coach Hines: Ice Cream Parlour: This is my favourite Coach Hines sketch! Hines was in rare form in this one, and it all moved great. The highlight was Hines's realization that Yaminashi and DeShazer found out that he is working at the ice cream shop.

Celebrity Pets: Lindsay Lohan's Dog, Chloe: I don't like Celebrity Pets, end of story.

Condi Comes to Harlem II: I liked this one. Bobby's Kim Jong Il is always good. He was the star of the sketch. The highlight was Kim Jong Il.

Glad Sandwich Bags: Good as a time waster, which is really what this was probably for.

Grandmother vs. Granddaughter: Good. A great sketch for Arden and Crista. The highlight was when Eve asks why she is always carrying Noni to the toilet, and it's because it makes her laugh.

Curious Old Lady: Just a promotion for the Shield and 24. I hate these sketches, but for the show to stay on, I guess it's what they have to do.

Steve Jobs Reveals the iRack #2: Good bloopers. This was bound to happen.

Out of 65 stars this episode got 401/2 this episode got a C-. Not a great episode but not terrible. I mean it did have iRack, and Coach Hines sketches.

Steve Jobs Presents the iRack. One of the most clever political sketches ever.

Grandmother vs. Granddaughter was a great sketch for both Crista and Arden. Crista got to flex her range a little bit more, and Arden showed us she is capable of being funny. Kudos!

For once I actually really liked the Coach Hines sketch... but I would never vote for it, out of principle.

Britney Spears Open - I thought this was okay. Nicole and Jordan as usual performed well, but Ike's K-Fed leaves a lot to be desired. The "Nutrition Facts" part was the highlight.

Ballad of Yao Ming - This was a fairly clever idea (my family LOVES basketball so I got the joke here) but it wasn't fully executed well. This was also okay.

iRack - This was hilarious, and probably one of the best sketches of Season 12 yet. One of the best political sketches MAD has ever done, IMO.

Heidi Klum - This was another clever sketch. Pretty funny.

Gay Sex - This wasn't too good and was a waste of a guest.

Shark Cam - As MADfan2004 said, this was a little over-the-top, but it was still a funny sketch.

Coach Hines - This was pretty good, but nothing can top the Steroids one.

Celebrity Pets - These have some potential but aren't always carried out well. I did enjoy this one though.

Condi Comes to Harlem II - I liked the first one, but this one bombed, IMO.

GLAD Sandwich Bags - Kind of a lame concept, but not all that bad.

Grandma Noni - A very funny sketch. It was utterly pointless but that was what made it so great.

Curious Old Lady - This was fantastic! Great job, Nicole RJ. Is this lady the next Lorraine/Mrs. Campbell?

Overall - A good episode. The only horrible thing was Condi Comes to Harlem. Nothing else was all that bad. I'd give it an A- overall.

Agreed. The MADtv IMDB message boards are unbearable. They all think they know so much about the show yet they think Alex is still on the show, Michael left 4 years ago, and don't reliaze it's STUART, not Stewart. I've even seen Bobby Lee called "Jimmy Lee".

I'm sure that there was a nicer way to ask for that.

As for the "genius" part....

Eventhough I'm most likely in the majority, I loved that Yao ming sketch. Jordan & Bobby were both hilarious but Bobby's scream just totally cracked me up. Also, I'm pretty sure that Nicole's singing was used in that one too.

A pretty decent episode. I'm glad they still incorporate political things, despite not having a Bush impersonator.

I thought Keegan almost got another recurring character during the video store lady sketch. Knobs (1107 and 1119) had Bobby and Ike (Marty and Phil) as workers at the doorknob store, and Keegan and Frank (Dale and Gary) worked next door to Knobs. I guess they just reused Frank's Gary name tag and gave it to Keegan. It would have been a weird continuity thing if Keegan was playing the same character.
