Not Having a Girlfriend/Boyfriend for the Winter (Un)Appreciation

I don't really know what to say. I keep reading on other boards how much it sucks to not have a girlfriend during the winter. But tell me what you guys (who are single) think. Do you like not having a girlfriend/boyfriend during this time of year? Do you hate it?

The weather over here is all the same, so there's not much difference.

Sometimes it sucks, but when you see couples fighting on the street, you sure feel glad you aren't one of them .

It's a reference from the television show The Office (US). Jim and Pam were friends who have now become the main couple but the problem with there relationship is they never fight, and the fans like me are starting to complain because they have been together for over a year and have not fought once which seems against reality as no couple can go that long without fighting.

Sorry i do not watch Office, but i understand what you mean.

People make the Office Look like it is huge when it is not even in the top 10 Ratings, Hell not in the Top 20 Ratings and it is shocking because i seen the ratings for the that show and 30 rock with there average viewers and i did not know 5-6 million viewers is excellent, sounds more like a CW rating they would love.. too bad they cant even build a audience. oh well The office is at the #35 right now in ratings.

But o lol, i understand what you mean....yeah me and her never fight, we do other things lol

Well anyways, winter in NYC is such a social thing, ya know, "Let's go see the tree, ice skating, central park, etc." I guess it pretty much is anywhere else, so you know, you got that. It's also kinda lonely and depressing in the winter so yah, I'd say winter can be sucky if there's no one to share it with.

I guess my girly side sometimes wants shit like that, but I don't think I could handle a relationship at this point in time. I'm kind of a head-case, as most of you can vouch for.

I think that in most situations, if it sucks not having a girlfriend any time of the year, winter is no different. It bums me out from time to time but I guess winter can be a little worse be cause I'm off of school so I can't keep myself preoccupied with that as much. I usually just shift my attention to work/learning new things though.

I tend to shut myself off a little bit from people during the winter, for whatever reason, but winter isn't too much worse for me. I keep to myself a lot anyways so I'm not one of those people who are constantly in agony if they aren't in a relationship. I'd probably be a pretty shit boyfriend right now anyways.

I can see that. But I think winter is such an intimate season that it really brings it home that NO ONE LOVES YOU! booo

Don't get me wrong, i'm really quite happy with the situation i'm in.... BUUUT yesterday I was at a Holiday party and like, everyone was a couple. Then I hung out afterwards with my friends that were just furiously makkin it all night and it was like "meh."

So yeah, just don't rub it in my face.
