This episode looks pretty good to me. I've been dying for a new 7 AM Condo Report sketch, since I missed the one they showed a couple weeks ago. Depressed Persian Tow Truck Man and John Kerry should be funny. And for all of you who just bitched and moaned about Avril Lavigne's appearance...I LIKE HER SO SHUT UP

Lillian Verner! I hope it's good!! 7 AM needs a boost... but that Hurricane one was sure funny!! Daniele in that bathtub was a riot. I can't wait until SATURDAY... I need a good laugh about now.

The season started off seeming like there would be more one-off sketches, but now it seems like they're trying to recur too many of those originally one-offers [possible spoilers ahead]: (All in ep. 1009: Celebrity Quarters II, Abercrombie, 2 Litre Beth, Clay Aiken, Real Mofo talk). I think we can already know almost every sketch that will air in 1009.

Avril Lavigne is for the young crowd. That's why I don't really like her. And it's sad how the music industry relies too much on the pockets of teens (not referring to anyone here ).

I'm more into the veteran artists like U2 and R.E.M. You can't be that. .

I'm young and I'm not really a fan of her, but I did like the song she had when she first came out called "Complicated"

I'm not THAT young...if you consider 18 to be young i dunno. I like Avril Lavigne's music tho. I don't like it when people call her a poser because she's not. The "punk" way is her style and she's not trying to copy anyone.

Yeah, I'm young. I dont listen to bands on the radio, I listen to more bands that no one knows about. Mainly everyone here does, every one thinks the music industry sucks.

Still smiling in the air.
Wish dreams could be so great.

Well anyway I think the only reason I am going to watch this episode is because I am a big fan of the speacial guest and I dont mean Avril. Take a look at my avatar. I just went to go see this movie last night.

Then watch SNL. But, come to think of it, Avril performed on SNL in May (with Snoop Dogg). They have also made fun of her several times too (the week before she performed, for one). I don't think MADtv has ever impersonated her.

Hasn't Clay been a recurring impression, though?

And Real Mofo Talk has been a recurring sketch for awhile.

@ Abercrombie and Celebrity Quarters...

I'm having high hopes for the 2 Litre Beth sketch (hopefully it'll be the last one)

[EDIT: I just saw who's going to be impersonated in the Celebrity Quarters II sketch and I'm excited...we get to see Anna Nicole Smith and Nicole' Renee Zellweiger...this one sounds better then the first one!]

That's what I meant. I guess I was just trying to say how many recurring things will be in 1009 and upcoming episodes.

I get what you're saying but I doubt that they'll do another 2 Litre Beth.

I don't see the Abercrombie sketches coming to an end, though (anytime soon )

Verb Alert: 4/5- This was funny...got kinda annoying and repetitive though.

Al Jazeera News: 2/5- All of the "death to America" got obnoxious. Nicole as that Iraqi woman was funny though.

The Right Time To Have Sex: 2/5- This was alright...nothing really great though.

7 AM Condo Report: Mexican Flu Shots: 4/5- Pretty funny. Seemed a bit shorter then most of the 7 AM Condo Report sketches though...

The Lillian Verner Game Show: 5/5- By far, the funniest Lillian Verner sketch so far! "Pussy Lover" priceless! Nicole's character was hilarious! So was Keegan's going too close to the mic!

The Depressed Persian Tow Truck Driver: John Kerry: 3/5- I usually don't like these sketches but this one I found funny.

One Last Breakfast: 0/5- Wow...this sucked and was a huge waste of time! -_-

Avril Lavigne's Performance- Better then the usual crap.

This episode was average.

That crappy short film took up time that probably could've fitted in The W.M.

I was looking forward to see Ryan reynolds after I didn't see Blade: Trinity today. But the episode was funny. I don't like Avril Lavigne but she was actually good in the 70's sketch. I love the short film, but I wanted the W.M. The Persian Tow Truck man sketch was really funny. This episode was cool. This season of MADtv is better.
