why do leaders of organizations, let's say...uhhh school, insist on putting the microphone like 2 inches from their mouth and then when they cough they basically stuff the microphone in their mouth and have the gaul to say "excuse me" when they are done coughing?

why are foreign exchange students so judgemental?....like two weeks ago we had Ukrainians at our school and they only came here to have sex with americans and then they made comments like "I don't understand how so many girls have boyfriends, they're all ugly"...when ya know, I'm not saying I'm all that *cough*causeitdoesntneedtobesaidthatiam*cough* but they weren't all that and a bag of chips either....I mean, I want to be an exchange student, but I would NEVER be like "omg! all yall are UGLY!"...I want to be an exchange student for the experience of being immersed in another country's culture and shiz...andbeerbutthatscauseimandalcoholicjunkiewhore....IMO they had no right to be upset with us because they came here for the WRONG reasons, plus they basically put on a stripper show, which was pretty slutty....and slutty=ugly...YA HERE THA POTTY!?

From Amanda's sig:

Hur·ri·cane (hūr-kn): a word originating from the ye ole Floridian saying "Hurry up and get yo canes! A storm's a comin'!"...isn't that right Mizzimad?

-----------------------------------------------------------------
This deeply offends my Floridian sensibilities. I can't speak for all Floridians, but we Panhandlers are a simple(-minded), proud (of "The Blue Collar Tour") people, and we do not like to be stereotyped (unless we're sh!t-faced). Besides, everyone knows that hurricane stems from a story that Ol' Jebediah Obadiah Nehemiah Hezakiah Probst himself told back in the day: "When that bad storm come in, ol' Tom 'n' his girl evacuated up north; when it was over, him 'n' her a-cane back down to Flar'da." GET IT RIGHT!

I know right? I do my best work (and by that, I mean the barely competent stuff) in the middle of the night. Thoughts flow much more fluidly when your brain is forced to fuction outside its designated hours of operation. When I graduate, I plan on getting a job at a 24 hour service station, where I will watch food-related infomercials and eat Fruju Tube ice blocks all night. OMG I CANT WAIT. That said, I'm pulling an all-nighter tonight. It's my first one of the year!

Heres something that always bugged me: when you are shopping for something online and they have the small thumbnail picture of it with the option to click on it to see a zoomed-in version and then when you click on it, the picture that pops up is the SAME SIZE

That's one thing that bothers me, when young adults in this country get the opportunity to travel abroad, all they care about is drinking and all. I mean, there's nothing wrong with drinking, but isn't the point of traveling abroad getting to see another culture? I know thats why I would go. Maybe i'm just nerdy.
But no wonder we're known as "ugly, rude americans" if kids are just piss drunk 24/7.

This forum just reached 4,000 members ... even though less than 100 (I'm estimating) actually post here. Damn people-who-register-and-don't-post!

My random thought for now:

I think this might be a Canadian thing but there is this milk comerical, series of commercials rather that use this song in different music genres.... basically I love these commercials a lot. They even have the same actors all the time so its like a sketch of a commercial that is recurred almost...
I know the evil milk companies are just trying to apeal to the youth demographic but these are damn cool commercials. They however, don't make me want milk...

"Straight to your bones, from the farm to the fridge
We know what you want, 'cause we know how you live
We got Big Bad Bessie with the M.I.L.K.
(milk squirt into bucket sound....)
Want milk. yeah yeah yeah
want Milk yeah Yeah yeah Yeah...."

So far they have done a rap version, a girl group and a skater version of this commerical and I'm looking forward to the next one. I'll keep everyone posted.

Heres a random thought. EVERY advertisement I see featuring that song (I think its by POD) that goes "BOOM, here comes the BOOM, ready or not, here come the boys from the souf", I will make a note never to buy that product or watch that movie/tv show. SO irritating!

I'm going to go off on your milk commercial tangent and say that the commercials for California Dairy are REALLY annoying!...I mean I know they exagerate the cows LIKING earthquakes, but come on...have you seen the facilities the cows are raised? despicable! I pity Californian cows...Wisconsin Dairy all the way

and then to go off on the commercial tangent...I was looking at my friend's media files and she has some "banned" commercials, and I'm watching them and I'm like "wtf is wrong with these that they are banned?...omg! they are like 10 seconds longer...BAN THEM!"...maybe if they didn't use the term "banned", because it makes it seem like the commercials are offensive...but whatevah

Have you ever wondered what would happen like if your parents or other people's parents had sex on a different night or something, the night you were concieved? Or like if a different sperm reached your mom's eggs. Something as little as masturbating too little or too much will affect the child you might once concieve. If that happened, then the world would be totally different. Like there would be a Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts, but chances are, they wouldn't be famous. It would be the same Julia and everything, but a completely different person because of that one sperm. This kind of stuff really sucks for like people who end up having children with down syndrome or some other disease. Like if the dad had just masturbated the night before, they might now have a retarded baby How crappy luck people like that must have.
I think about this all the time, for some reason.

Pretty interesting. Can't say I've ever thought about that.

Heres what I wonder. It seems in America theres almost a hatred for the game of soccer. Its the world's most popular sport but in America we almost take pride in denouncing soccer and opt for football or baseball or what have you. That being said, soccer seems like a really popular sport amongs kids (there always seems to be to be a lot more kids soccer leagues than adults). I wonder what happens going from childhood to adulthood in America that causes a hatred of soccer.

I've finally discovered who Mrs. Campbell's "hefty friend Zelda" is!!

*spoiler* Don't read on if you don't want to be enlightened:

Zelda Rubinstein, who played Tangina in the Poltergeist movies. This is like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I can sleep at night without the question of the identity of Zelda plaguing my dreams.

yah its odd, i play soccer and im 17 and currently play with a mens 30+ competitive A and they are so hardcore into it, but there is only like 8 teams in all of Calgary and surrounding area. When i played like u18 and u16 or even airdrie (small town north of Calgary) Community soccer, there was like 16 different teams so it got split into A and B and the top 4 created a new league.
I think the reason soccer is lost between children and adults, is because basically people sign up to play soccer in community because its fun, but unfortunately community soccer only lasts until your about 18 or 19 and from there you need to join a mens team which is hard since they are super strict.
Since more than half the people that join soccer in their youth did it for just a fun side sport, they never really take it serious enough.

Thats just what i notice anyway, the story might be different in the states or elsewhere in canada.
