His dementia had always been endearing. His insanity was the root of his appeal. Indeed, watching the Ol' Dirty Bastard Express jump the rails and skid into uncharted social ravines was a sordid, guilty pleasure akin to laughing at competitors in the Special Olympics. He was Cops, Mad TV and Rap City all rolled into one voyeuristic blunt.

I have a ton of friends who are metalheads, and theyre shocked at the news. He got shot on stage at a concert.

This is a bigger tragedy than the Great White one last year becuase the band was an innocent bystander but there will a lot of civil suits going to happen because of lack of security

My husband is a big metalhead and he almost called out of work that day. He was real upset about it for almost a week. Some people are just psycho!

Ya know 79 isn't that old. I don't think it's cool when people die early, but I guess when it's your time, it's your time and you can't cheat death. I look at poor John Ritter who died at 54

I was watching a Fox tribute to him and there was a journo on there who said Johnny Carson had wanted his epitaph to read "I'll be right back"
