'STAR WARS EPISODE III' GETS ITS TITLE
George Lucas revealed the title of the final Star Wars prequel on Saturday. Episode III will be known as "Revenge of the Sith." The announcement was made by LucasFilm's nerd liaison -- um, I mean fan relations chief -- Steve Sansweet at San Diego's big Comic-Con show. Lucas himself was not in attendance. Sansweet pulled off the baseball jersey he was wearing to reveal a black t-shirt underneath with the title. Initial reaction amongst the fan community was positive. Especially since it harkens back to the original trilogy, specifically Return of the Jedi. In fact, 'Revenge of the Jedi' was an early, working title for Episode VI. The Sith are the evil, anti-Jedi, those who bow to the Dark Side of the Force. In this final act, protagonist Anakin Skywalker will fall from the side of the Jedi to join the Sith, becoming Darth Vader. Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith will hit theaters on May 19, 2005. __________________ As always, please look over the most recent episode guide here and let us know of any additions or corrections. MORE STAR WARS AFTER 'EPISODE III'?
We have been told over and over again for the past three years that with next year's release of Revenge of the Sith, the Star Wars galaxy will be closed for good. But now, it seems the black hole set to swallow up George Lucas' galaxy far, far away might be on hold for a few more films. TheForce.net, the premiere online source for all rumors even remotely related to Star Wars, is reporting that they have received an email from a Bothan spy with information from deep inside Industrial Light & Magic. "You didn't hear this from me, but you might be curious as to why everyone at ILM just signed NDA's saying that they will not discuss Star Wars EP7, 8, or 9. Since they're not being made, why the NDA's?" NDAs, of course, are those media unfriendly Non-Disclosure Agreements that Lucas is notorious for. Of course, this is only speculative at this point, especially since Lucas has denied numerous times that he will ever go back and develop movies set after the events of the original trilogy, but it is interesting nonetheless. __________________ As always, please look over the most recent episode guide here and let us know of any additions or corrections. 'Episode III' teaser trailer coming Nov. 5
The first teaser trailer for George Lucas' Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith will debut in theaters in front of Pixar's The Incredibles on Nov. 5. Subscribers to Lucas' Hyperspace fan club will get to see it a day early online. Parts of the trailer will also be shown on entertainment news TV shows (Entertainment Tonight, Extra, et al) on the evening of the 4th. The public debut on starwars.com will come Monday, Nov. 8. This isn't the first time Pixar and Lucasfilm have teamed up. The Episode II teaser was first shown in front of Monsters Inc. in 2001. The Pixar animation studio started as a division of Lucasfilm before being sold off to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in 1986. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith lands in theaters on May 19, 2005. __________________ As always, please look over the most recent episode guide here and let us know of any additions or corrections. I'm gonna hopefully see it next weekend. My movie-going friend has been occupied with a wedding for the last two weekends so I can't see it this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it though. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but this movie (hopefully) has all the answers to questions I've been thinking about for years.

I dont really plan on seeing this movie because I was never and Star Wars fan I never liked it the first time I seen it. I dont remember which one it was and I really dont care. I never seem to get caught up in these series movies like Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings. But I still get the feeling I might be dragged by a couple of friends into seeing this movie. Hopefully my opinion will change and I will like it but I haven't been following the story so I have no idea what I'll be watching or what will be going on.

I've seen it. I thought t was great. A lot better that Epidodes 1 and 2 combined. I loved that Jar Jar had one line and about 5 seconds of film time!

Oh my God. This movie ****ing rocked. I still can't get over it. I saw it last night, and then came home and watched "Star Wars: A New Hope" and it was the weirdest experience. The story flows really well but the technological differences are insane. Episode III is definitely my favourite, I must say.

I finally saw this movie not too long ago. Um it was actually good. I guess when I watched it a long time ago, I was too young to comprehend what was happening. But now that I'm older and wiser I enjoyed it. I'm still not that big of a fan. I couldn't even name 10 characters from the Start Wars stories.

About a month ago I had star wars day. It was pretty cool. I watched every episode of star wars 1 after the other all day. It kind of brought back when I was a kid and LOVED star wars. I used to collect all the toys and draw stuff from star wars all the time. I got really bummed out when it hit me that this movie was the last one that they will ever do.
I guess every good thing has to come to an end but its still pretty sad. I don't really care if episodes 1 and 2 werent that great, the Star Wars story as a whole is something that should be applauded. Im gonna miss it. ![]() __________________ An invariant mass requires rest energy without a HITCH, which makes Newton's second law as it appears in a nonrelativistic classical mechanics sitch, BIATCH. Great Movie... But it really depressed me. lol
My favorite Star Wars movie I would have to say is... "Return of the Jedi" Mostly because of Carrie Fisher in that skimpy little outfit... ![]() |
