Just watched From Fear To Eternity.... It was amazing!!! I was laughing so hard! It was really great. I reccommend it to anyone with a few minutes on their hands. It just helps me prove my point, Frank Caeti is one of the cast members who will save the show.

He probably has private messaging disabled because of stuff like that. He's not new to message boards, so I'm sure it crossed his mind that some people would hound him with PM's.

I think Chicago style improv is much different than LA. I won't make any judgement as to what is better. There are very funny people in both LA and Chicago. I assume when you say LA you are referring to Groundlings and such, and when you say Chicago, you are referrring to Second City and IO, etc. Chicago Improv has a larger emphasis on Long form (a single suggestion is taken and improvised for 30-45 minutes) and ensemble. Long form is more concept oriented, less character driven, more ensemble, and everything builds off the ideas laid forth earlier in the long form. I know that comedy can be frentic and loud, but it can also be patient and quiet too. I like that about improv. From what I have seen at the Groundlings it seems they mostly do games and short form improv ( a la Whose line..) and their sketch is driven by characters and less concept. 2. Thanks for the compliment. I have written songs, many at Second City, but none that have made it to air at MAD. Someday....maybe. 3. Sorry man, can't give you the scoop on Nicole, that's her personal bidness. I will say she is a lovely woman who is quite talented and a dream to work with. Hope that answers your questions. Happy holidays. |

Thats awesome JeffJeff. Did you just PM him from the site or contact him through MadTV.com or something?
I think the different improv charateristics for different areas is pretty interesting, all I have reall been able to see is local/Toronto improv. __________________ We All Go A Little MAD Sometimes... Voted The Nicest forum Member In The Third Annual PlanetMadTV Awards
