Just got done watching The Philadelphia Story.
I wasn't sure how I'd like it but my aunt has raved about it to me and it was in the free movies section on Comcast on Demand so I watched it and loved it! The entire cast was great! Once I get some money this will be one of the DVDs I pick up...it's one of my favorite movies now. ![]() |

Last night I did what I rarely ever do...I watched TWO movies
![]() ![]() House of Wax was good, I liked it a lot. The only thing I didn't really like was Paris Hilton. She wasn't TERRIBLE but she wasn't really up to par with everyone else, so it was a good thing that her part wasn't that big. Elisha Cuthbert and Chad Michael Murray were really good though, so props to them. I liked The Ring 2 also, but not as much as the first one. Then again I can't think of one sequel I like as much as the first, so whatever. "I'm not your ****ing mommy!!" made me giggle. ![]() And thus concludes the last two movies I'll watch for a long time...I rarely watch ONE movie, let alone TWO...phew I'm pooped. ![]() |

Why those whimpy ones and give him a full taste of a horror movie (i.e.- The Exorcist?)
I always think that whenever somebody says they were "scared" during something like The Ring how they'd react if they watched The Exorcist. Last night I watched The Assassination of Richard Nixon. It was an indie from last year that flopped that stars Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, and Naomi Watts. I only got 45 or 50 minutes into it. It made no sense and was taking to long to get to it's point (that Sean Penn was planning on assassinating Richard Nixon.) Bottom line was that it was a bad movie. Don't consider renting or buying it. In my opinion, it'd be a waste. |

I thought The Ring was better than the Exorcist.
I think it should be for this day and age, it plays off a factor in most of our lives, television. The Exorcist was too showy IMO. lol __________________ It's all fun and games until someone gets punched in the throat. ------------------------------- Morgan & Nik - Nocturnal Twins Forever ------------------------------- "Tacocat is spelled the same backwards and fowards!" Last night I went to the theaters and saw SAW II. I swear it was pandemonium 2005. I have never seen so much a crowd since the passion of the christ. The theater was packed full. They carded everyone, I luckily got in with my friends. The usher came and stood in the middle of the auditorium (aka the big theater 300 people) and said "We have a full house tonight. Hopefully all the hardcore fans are here. I'll turn up the volume so you all don't hear the little murmurs, Enjoy your movie" and everyone cheered. Okay since when has SAW had such a loyal fanbase that they give a special announcement at my theater? I don't know.
Anyway the movie was VERY GOOD. Entertaining, brutal, and has a twist thats awesome, but nowhere near the first movie's twist. I enjoyed SAW II maybe just a little more than saw because the acting wasn't atrocious as it was in the first. I would say see this movie on Halloween, it won't let you down. It made $12 Million opening night, making it friday's #1 movie. I'm about to go watch House Of Wax. I've already seen it, and I loved it the first time. I wasn't scared by The Ring. I, presonally, found it to be somewhat boring? But not as broing as the Amityville remake. That movie was like dog sh*t on a spoon. The Ecorcist scared me more than The Ring simply because of little Regan posessed is creepier than some idk wtfever Samara was. __________________ [color= red] Cake. it my favorite. Cake. I also saw Saw II last night with my friend.
(they didn't card us nor did we get a announcement, I demand a refund!) We were both in agreement that this was much better than the first, and I believe that was do to the twist ending. Which had us floored. I loved it. It was great, in a disturbing way. While we were there we saw a preview for this new movie Hostel... it looks so badass! Eli Roth (Cabin Fever) directed it and produced it, along with Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction) and tons of other notable people. I cannot wait! When that trailer showed on friday right before SAWII I was like "..HOSTEL!!" I, too, am thrilled for that movie. It oughta be extra gory, putting Quentin's name on a film gets you special privelages, so I have high expectations. __________________ [color= red] Cake. it my favorite. Cake. I wish I had some now. I just recently watched The Evil Dead. Here's the imdb plot outline:
Five friends go up to a cabin in the woods where they find unspeakable evil lurking in the forest. They find the Necronomicon and the taped translation of the text. Once the tape is played, the evil is released. One by one, the teens become deadly zombies. With only one remaining, it is up to him to survive the night and battle the evil dead. I really liked this movie. It was pretty gorey, seeing it's like 24 years old. It had the aspect of like "oh no is my possessed friend behind this door? Or this shower curtain?" and they obviously come out when you least expect it. A lot of it was predictable and the acting wasn't the best, but I still liked it. I recommend it. I plan to watch some more horrors tonight, when it gets dark hehehe. ![]() __________________ TRIPOD: LYZZA ![]() ![]() ![]() Selena Luna = Best. Castmember. Ever.

I saw The Shining last night. The movie is more unsettling than scary, though it had it's moments. The twins, the bear suit, the elevator and *shudder* the bathtub.

I really love Evil Dead. The Shining didn't scare me so much. I kind of found it boring, yet entertaining. If that even makes sense.

Just came home from seeing Jarhead with Jake Gyllenhall and Jamie Foxx.
It's about a 'jarhead', marine recruit who serves as a sniper during Operation: Desert Storm. I am not a fan of armed service-ish movies but I thought this movie was really awesome. It's brutally honest, harsh and disturbing, but like reality, mixes good and the bad. Think Full Metal Jacket. __________________ It's all fun and games until someone gets punched in the throat. ------------------------------- Morgan & Nik - Nocturnal Twins Forever ------------------------------- "Tacocat is spelled the same backwards and fowards!" Last night I went to the theatres to see Saw II.
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS* I basically agree with everyone else who watched it, its very good and fulfilled my expectations after the first one... my only complaint is that the trap this time around wasn't that hard... like last time they actually had to cut off their leg to get out... in this one they could just walk around and... i dunno... just didn't feel the same. And at the end, when they ended up in the room... I was like OH. MY. GOD. ![]() PS> I felt so bad for Amanda... and I kinda sorta really liked her... even at the end of the movie... ![]() If there is a SAW III however, I don't think I'll like it as much because it just won't be the same with her taking over... she definately needs to work on her voice ![]() __________________ "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" ~ Raven ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "The world needs humour like it needs love" ~ Debra Wilson P.F.F ~ Puddin' Fans Forever! __________________ |

These are the movies I watched at home that I never got around to "reviewing."
So i'll just drop a few lines about them. The first 4 are by Hitchcock. Vertigo A PI afraid of heights tries to solve a case even after its been "shut." Psycho (original) Hichcock classic about... a psycho. Watch it, all the cool kids are doing it. Spellbound Ingrid Bergman(sp?) is a psychologyst that helps a man(Gregory Peck) posing as a doctor figure out who he really is. Marnie A man (Sean Connery) helps a theif figure out her repressed memories and (surprise!)falls in love with her. The Attic Expeditions After a 4 year coma, a boy is told he's murdered his girlfriend. Sent to a rehab house, he's convinced he's being watched. Ok, seriously weird. If anyone else sees it, I wanna know your thoughts. Identity 11 strangers are stuck in a motel during a storm. One by one they are being murdered by room order. Wow, what a twist at the end. __________________ It's all fun and games until someone gets punched in the throat. ------------------------------- Morgan & Nik - Nocturnal Twins Forever ------------------------------- "Tacocat is spelled the same backwards and fowards!" It's really hard to describe this film, even though it's pretty simple to understand. But according to http://imdb.com, it's An epic mosaic of several interrelated characters in search of happiness, forgiveness, and meaning in the San Fernando Valley. It's about 3 hours, but worth watching if you like movies that are more than entertainment. People weren't kidding when they raved about this movie. It was intense. It started with me wondering how all these people fit into this story and thinking some of it was quite ridiculous, but by the end, it's all put together. Emotional. The story was great, the characters in this movie were at times unbelievable, but still real (I even liked Tom Cruise, in what may have been his last good role before going insane). This movie also contains the longest long-take I have ever seen (I thought QT was bad...=P). "Now that I've met you, would you object to never seeing me again?" __________________ It's all fun and games until someone gets punched in the throat. ------------------------------- Morgan & Nik - Nocturnal Twins Forever ------------------------------- "Tacocat is spelled the same backwards and fowards!"
