Yep. It's something new I've been wanting to try. The ride has been fun, but now thanks to this, I might get ISS or OSS or Detention or something thanks to a certain something that happened at school involving me. And I've never had that. Ever! Every since I started school at age 5 I've been a good little boy. But now... Oh what getting caught in the crowd can do to you.

I think I want to try and lay low now. But I don't know if I can go back to that since I'm so well known now. *sigh*

All the themed threads that Tarza and others have been starting lately have been far too creative and interesting so I thought I'd interject with a completely generic, boring topic that nobody will want to talk about. Does anyone have any New Years Resolutions for 2008?

I've never really sat down and made resolutions before because it's just another thing to be disappointed about at the end of the year but for the sake of this thread, I am going to try to learn Ruby and C in 2008. I've already got a head start on Ruby and I'm really just learning C to make the classes I have to take on it go smoother (when my stupid college decides it will make class schedules properly so I can take it )

I resolve to do whatever I can as a staff member to keep this (make this? ) a thriving site. It's a big responsibility, one that I'm trying to take very seriously; and despite having to do a lot of things on my own for the time being, I fully intend to make this happen. *Cue the violins and some cheesy patriotic song that would make even Uncle Sam toss his cookies.* Aside from that, I resolve not to kill anyone. Since I've somehow made it this far in my life without a homicide on my resume, why ruin a good thing?

I, like Nemesis, couldn't be arsed to even come up with something remotely useful, but for the sake of "POSTCOUNT +1 LOLOLOL", my New Years resolution couldn't be more basic and to the point:

I wish to visit a patent office and personally copyright the fail pic (you know the one I'm talking about). After all, I'm the originator, I was the one who found it, gave it a nice, warm home, brought it to the site, and haplessly unleashed it on spammers and Rurrys, NO ONE ELSE SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE IT FOR THE GREATER WHOLE OF EXISTENCE. >

Yeah, so far I like how it works. As everyone says, it's a very pretty programming language and it seems very well thought out. I get the indication that it borrows a lot of useful conventions from other languages but also avoids their pitfalls. I guess the main downside is that it's relatively new and that it's interpreted instead of compiled.

My resolution for next year is to work on my flexibility a little every day, at the very least every other day.

Yeah, physical flexibility. literally. and yeah, i realize that's the gayest resolution to make as a guy, BUT, its really to improve my range as a performer. Movement is still one of my toughest classes, and I'm good at the physical strength and endurance stuff, but any flexibility works kills me (as to such error are men) so thats why.... STFU everyone
