[MADtv] Lisa Kushell: Unemployed?

Lisa Kushell has not had her contract renewed on the TBS show "Dinner and a Movie". An excerpt from Lisa's January update:

I'm not going back to Dinner and a Movie. That's right. I'm done. They're already auditioning for a new female host. Weird, huh? If you're wondering why I'm not going back, you'd have to ask the geniuses at TBS. They're apparently "changing things up". Here's the thing: My contract was up and it wasn't renewed. At first I was very upset. I got the call right after Thanksgiving. Very lame. Very impersonal. Then, the more I thought about it, the more I realised that it's a good thing. This frees me up to do a lot of other stuff. I did that show for two and a half years, and there's really nothing I could get out of it.

Well at least she's right about the being freed thing. I've seen the show "Dinner and a Movie" and there is no acting involved. That kind of show cant benifit an actor. You just host the show and let the people watch the movie.

Aww, that's too bad. If she can she should come back to MADtv. Don't think you can though. Cartman2002, I agree with you 100%, I hope she stays on Crank Yankers. She was funny though.

I absolutely hate Dinner and a Movie. Apart from seeing Lisa Kushell, its absolutely stupid, and only adds to the lenghty commercial time on TBS, which has got to be the biggest whore when it comes to that. 5-6 minutes commercials and 2 minutes for Dinner and a Movie, ugh. You forget what the movie was about, because they also cut the movies short because they would run for three hours with all the commercial time.

I HATE TBS!
