Show Open: Tim Gunn
Tim Gunn (Michael McDonald) of Project Runway has come to MADtv to give seats in the front row to the most stylist audience members. The seats go to Audrinao, a Brazilian soccer player who is wearing a gray jump suit, Bryan Tomlinson a man with a large go t, and tattoo's all over himself who got the spot because he's scary, and Daniele, a good looking 18 year old woman who goes to high school and despite the fact, does not work out at all. Credits: Michael McDonald (Tim Gunn) Gwen Stefani Video After being accused by the Asian race for how she uses the Harijuku girls, Gwen Stefani (Nicole Parker) comes out with her new song "Aren't Asians Great?" where she talks about all the great things the Asian race has done like Hybrid cars, flat screen TV’s, and food. Credits: Nicole Parker (Gwen Stefani), Bobby Lee (Harijuku Girl), Jordan Peele (Aliaune Thiam: Akon) Grey's Anatomy with House M.D. While a patient is foaming out the mouth, Addison (Nicole Parker) is advising Isobel (Arden Myrin) to get back into the dating world. Isobel doesn't want dating tips from someone who breaks up with McDreamy, for McSteamy. Addison finally realizes that they are forgetting about there patient, and realize that they need to call in a specialist, McMeany. McMeany is Dr. Gregory House (Michael McDonald), who judges that the lady is pregnant and leaves. When Addison pushes Dr. House against a wall in the hallway, and tells him that there is more going on with the patient, Dr. House pushes her up against a wall and tells her that he doesn't know what's wrong with her. He then drags his hand across the chest and says "looks like someone grazed you anatomy". Dr. House enters the room again and analyses the patient more closely. After Cristina (Bobby Lee) pulls out the patient’s lung, Dr. House concludes that the patient has Venyetta Syndrome, and her baby has to be evacuated from the womb by smothering the mother with a pillow. The baby comes flying out, but the mother is smothered to death. They then send the body over to ER to see if they can save it. Credits: Arden Myrin (Katherine Heigl: Dr. Isobel Stevens), Nicole Parker (Kate Walsh: Addison Montgomery), Bobby Lee (Sandra Oh: Cristina Yang), Crista Flanagan (Ellen Pompeo: Meredith Grey), Nicole Randall Johnson (Chandra Wilson: Miranda Bailey), Michael McDonald (Hugh Laurie: Gregory House), Keegan-Michael Key (Isaiah Washington: Preston Burke) Great Moments in African-American History with Flavor Flav #1 William "Flavor Flav" Drayton (Jordan Peele) kicks some knowledge about Abraham Lincoln. Who freed the slaves when he lost a poker game against George W Washington and Dick Cheney. Credits: Keegan-Michael Key (Sidney Poitier), Jordan Peele (William "Flavor Flav" Drayton Jr) Attitudes and Feelings, Both Desirable and Sometimes Secretive Pt. III Dr. Poon Ji-Sum (Bobby Lee), Ms. Long Bong, and there mother and father are all washing each other in a pool. Poon wonders why he never knew that Long was his sister. When his mother is about to tell them, she is shot by a poison dart. Poon tries to catch the murder that is standing near the deep end of the pool, but he is a poor swimmer, and begins to drown, when he is rescued by who he thinks is Long, but when he looks over at the shallow end of the pool, Long is still there. Credits: Bobby Lee (Himself/Dr. Poon Ji-Sum), Cathy Shim (Herself/Ms. Long Bong) Archival Footage: Great Moments in African-American History with Flavor Flav #2 Sidney is mystified on why they have Flavor Flav doing the show when he is available. Flavor Flav raps about Rosa Parks, and how she became Mayor of Americas, and now black people own all the buses. Credits: Keegan-Michael Key (Sidney Poitier), Jordan Peele (William "Flavor Flav" Drayton Jr) The Ellen DeGeneres Show: Ugly Betty Ellen DeGeneres (Nicole Parker) welcomes the creator of Ugly Betty Selma Hayek (Lisa Donovan), who explains that Ugly Betty is a show about an ugly, fat girl. Selma wanted to call it Very, Very, Very Ugly Betty, but the network said that ugly is enough. When Ellen protests that she doesn't think Betty is that ugly, Selma brings out America Ferrera (Crista Flanagan) the actress who plays Betty on the show in full makeup. When America says that she doesn't look like the way she is now, Selma disagrees and then starts mocking the audience for there ugliness. Ellen says that she is shocked and disappointed at what Selma saying and that deep down she is a dark, and horrible person, but is still hot on the outside. Credits: Nicole Parker (Ellen DeGeneres), Lisa Donovan (Selma Hayek), Crista Flanagan (America Ferrera) Cupid's Lesson Gone Wrong *Claymation* Cupid has to try his skills at coupling up people. He shoots an arrow at a couple on a bench, but shoots a hollow point arrow instead of the love arrows. When he dumps the arrows, they land on some more people, injuring more lives. Ike Meets Bobby's Family #1 Ike Barinholtz goes to visit Bobby Lee's parents, which he was unaware of the fact that they existed. They all greet him with kisses. Bobby's father gives off a very anti-Semitic impression on Ike due to what he says when Ike gives the Hebrew prayer at dinner. At dinner Ike brings over some Asian food, but the family settles for pizza over Ike's food. After dinner, Ike desperately wants to go home, but Bobby won't let him, saying that they are going to do a re-enactment of his favourite movie Star Wars. After the horrible re-enactment Ike can't take it anymore, but Bobby says he can't leave before doing Moyourk, a tradition in which he takes a bath with the men of the family. Credits: Bobby Lee (Himself), Ike Barinholtz (Himself), Jeanie Lee (Herself), Kennith Lee (Himself), Robert Lee (Himself) Luann at the Laundromat #1 Luann is performing at the local Laundromat, but bombs with bad jokes like how many quarters you need to put in the laundry machine, and how moms fold pants. She tries doing impressions of Howie Mandel, and Homer Simpson, but they come with no laughs. She then says she loves chocolate because she's a big fat ugly idiot, and walks off crying. Credits: Nicole Randall Johnson (Ms. Bell), Crista Flanagan (Wendy Walker) Great Moments in African-American History with Flavor Flav #3 FlavorFlav comes on to talk about Martin Luther King. Who was great because he was a giant who picked up Rosa Parks when she was in the bus just like in Jurassic Park. Then when the army came to bring him down, he blew his fire breath on him peacefully. MLK then went on to make peanut butter alarm clocks. Sidney has had enough and stops Flavor Flav right there saying that it is ridiculous and not to listen to Flavor. Flavor then walks behind Sidney and starts miming his hands as Sidney signs off. Credits: Jordan Peele (William "Flavor Flav" Drayton Jr), Keegan-Michael Key (Sidney Poitier) Luann at the Laundromat #2 Ms. Bell is getting tired of people putting non-clothes related things in the dryer, and brings back Luann again. Luann tells more stale jokes like someone washing a comforter, and how she was evicted from her apartment and now lives at a bus station. She starts to cry and doesn't want to perform anymore. Ms. Bell then comes up and cancels comedy night after she finds a boot in a washer. Credit: Nicole Randall Johnson (Ms. Bell), Crista Flanagan (Wendy Walker) Ike Meets Bobby's Family #2 Ike is bathing with the males of Bobby's family, but keeps cracking up whenever Bobby's dad puts on a bubble beard and says that he is Santa Clause. I hope we get a new fake musical guest. I know I was one of the biggest complainers about them, but we haven't gotten one since 1209.

Lisa Donovan's debut episode! That means the sketch about The Ellen DeGeneres Show/Ugly Betty will be in this episode.
As for the fake musical guest, I was wondering about those, too. We haven't had one since 1209, and before that, we didn't have one since 1206. Oh, and HNL seems to be gone now, too...we haven't had one since 1206. *knocks on wood* __________________ :doctor: |

We've been lucky not to have any Cragg bits this year, too.
Hopefully Lisa (do)Nova(n) impresses us this week. It's always exciting to see how a new cast member will do. |

Ok, FINALLY a MADtv.com Update.
-Parody of the new Gwen Stefani video "The Sweet Escape". -The Grey's Anatomy/House/ER crossover (although in the clip they only show Grey's Anatomy, so i don't know if it's the actual crossover yet) -Black History with Flavor Flav All of these sound good. Can't wait! Hopefully this will live up to the awesomeness that was 1213. I'm wondering if the Gwen Stefani video is going to be Lisa's debut sketch, since they often debut new cast members with a music video, and no one on the show currently does a Gwen Stefani impression, so... And I think that's also Lisa as the patient in the GA sketch. __________________ :doctor: |

Having real celebrities and musicians are good for the show. They improve ratings and are advertised more. I hated most of Madtv's musical guests because a lot of people who were coming onto the show were rappers in the more recent seasons. They need to get more rock music on the show like when they had Sum 41, the Goo Goo Dolls, and so on.. But hey, anything is better than a fake musical guest that isn't funny, but that's just my opinion.. ![]() |

MADtv's musical guests were always awful expect on very rare occasions. I'd wind up switching to SNL when they came on, so I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope they NEVER come back. Yes, it adds ratings, but they were still terrible and a waste of valuable sketch time.
As for the fake musical guests, they've been mostly funny, besides maybe 1 or 2. Besides, they add variety, even if they're not always great. I don't think any of them were horrible. __________________ :doctor: |

The only time I remember there being a good fake musical guest was last season(?), when they had Ashlee Simpson screw up like she did on SNL. I don't know if you'd consider that a 'fake musical guest' though.
I always thought the fake musical guests were very irritating, and a waste of time. Madtv used to have famous actors/celebrities and good musical guests, but now they have a lot of celebrities that people do not know and have fake musical guests. It kinda makes the show look bad. This is probably why the ratings have somewhat dropped. Having real musical guests are good, but you have to like the artist/band who's performing. They have to get the artists that have a bigger fanbase |

The Michael one sounds pretty lame, by the Nicole RJ one could be good. I like how they're giving everyone a shot with these.

Wow, I'm really excited for the Gwen parody. Hopefully they do a good job. I'm hoping that Nicole Parker does the impression, even though she does most of the female singers. Gwen is hard to impersonate and I've actually never seen her made fun of on a sketch show except briefly back when Molly Shannon was still on SNL.
As most of you know, I'm a huge No Doubt fan. I actually really like "Sweet Escape," which is the song being parodied. It's one of my favorites from her new solo record. No Doubt is meeting this week to discuss their next album, which makes me really excited because I'm getting tired of this solo era. __________________ Matt (the OTHER one) "If you want to be a better actor - a better lawyer, doctor, teacher - anything - be a better human being." ~ Debra Wilson |

I like both No Doubt and Gwen Stefani also so this should be a cool parody.
I was hoping that No Doubt would get back together sometime soon and I figured it would have to be after Gwen is done promoting her new album and touring. I'm interested in seeing how No Doubt will be changed due to the solo success Gwen has. __________________ We All Go A Little MAD Sometimes... She'll even admit she's better with No Doubt. They've been together 20 years (2 decades!), I'm sure she just wanted to try something new. She won't play any ND songs at her solo shows or vice-versa, she wants it to be a completely different experience.
I got second row center tickets for her tour in Chicago, I'm psyched. She did a presale for fans through her website. My Detroit tickets are worse, but it'll be fun anyways. __________________ Matt (the OTHER one) "If you want to be a better actor - a better lawyer, doctor, teacher - anything - be a better human being." ~ Debra Wilson |
