Do you have a problem with Bobby Lee?

Bobby has better characters that deserve a closure sketch as opposed to Bae-Sung so maybe the character is just being "retired" or something. It's not like the death of characters has stopped them from popping up later on in the show's run.

Where the hell was Keegan in this episode? Oh right, the closing. -__-; And considering Frank is expected to leave, this wouldn't have been the best way to show it.

Arden had a very minimal appearance too, but at least she was in something.

There were some things I liked, some things I didn't like.

he Land Before Jesus
- I didn't really like Nicole P. in this.
- Frank was pretty cute with that hair, it was pretty funny to see his hair-flipping
- "Don't do dope". Daniele was alright.
- Bobby humping Nicole...nothing seems out of the ordinary. ;P kidding. He was funny.
- The graphics, like everything MadTV has done graphics-wise, sucks. I guess that adds to its funniness.

Office Sexual Harassment?
- LOL. This was a funny sketch to me. Usually sexual stuff in this way isn't funny, but I liked it.
- "I'm sorry, I have carpal tunnel syndrome. I gotta keep on touching things" / "Looks like you got caught up in my watchband...<wrong hand>"
- hahaha: Michael gets extra kudos for this, because of what he did to Jordan ;] kidding (sort of)- I couldn't have imagined any other guy in the cast to be able to do that anyway...and pull it off as funny
- When Daniele came out, she immediately reminded me of Joyce from Lane Bryant!
- Probably the best sketch of the night

The Ring-Arounds
- Songs were pretty creative I guess. Not many people laughed at the breathalyzer one, maybe they don't know about it? Whatever, it wasn't the best song on there. I liked the 2 moms one, and the post-partum depression XD
- One of the girl actresses looks very familiar. Hm.
- Best performer was Nicole/Frank, I guess worst would be Ike/Bobby, but only because they didn't have that big of a role.

MADtv Wrap Party
- Hm... Jordan instead of Bobby? A forewarning of some sort?
- It didn't make it any better.
- I was a little... unattentive when watching this. I guess the only "funny" part was when Ike passed the fried chicken and when asked how he knew he loved fried chicken, he just did a "..." look at the camera.

The Three Minute Meal
- I suppose seeing Crista in pain is hilarious.
- But not to me. Um... the idea was funny, I guess.
- Best part = going postal when she tried to open the bread...that or when she threw into hysterics when the gong sounded.

Bae Sung On The Sopranos
- Like many other bad recurring characters that are well-received, he only gets a big cheer during his appearance, and when he says uh-oh hotdog the first time.
- What Caliendo said made me laugh so much, because it practically reflected what you people say around here. Could it be a way for the MadTV writers to say 'ok ok, we learned our lesson'?
- I didn't like it when people cheered as he was beaten, though. In fact, I rarely think humor through beating somebody up like that is humorous.
- That toilet thing in the end pretty much summed up the sentiment of the writers, I guess. If Bobby were to really leave, this would have been an ironic sendoff.

Nannies
- I like it when Nicole R-J and Daniele are in the same sketches.
- It got predictable very, very quickly. That didn't totally ruin the sketch, though
- Nicole struck me off as a strong castmember, for a featured. At least from what I've seen.
- I guess the 2nd best sketch.

Stuart
- Never saw this one before... I liked it, and its interesting to see how much the audience has grown with Stuart.
- No annoying Doreen voice in this one, which made it interesting
- I never really watched Season 4, because I'm not (or wasn't) a serious MadTV viewer. Never really noticed it, but I think Andrew Bowen's pretty hot :X

Closing
- Not like it really means anything, but I swear I saw Cragg in the audience. Or, some guy who has the same hair and glasses as Cragg.
- At first I was thinking, 'where's frank caliendo and bobby lee??' until I realized they were in the back, hidden behind Daniele and others :/
- I thought it was cool that Mike thought that this was one of the best seasons for him, and that he mentioned this cast as the best (or one of? I forget) he's ever worked with. Now, some people might think that's just some BS he's expected to slap on at the closing to make it feel all good, but something tells me he meant it.

As if this couldn't get any longer, I honestly hope to see Caeti and Nicole RJ to be back next season. And you know what, even if Bobby Lee's characters suck, I never truly despised him. He's not my favorite, but he added something (besides the drag queen roles and the Asian roles) whenever he had major speaking parts. Which...was rare without having the above mentioned happening :/

Caliendo's performance was good, but I felt he deserved more. Sure, he was known and used for impressions, but I would have at least wanted to see more of him. Never was a big fan of the Shatner, but he was good in my book.

I also have doubts about Arden, Daniele and Keegan-Michael, though. I mean, I think Arden is the most successful in the current cast outside of MadTV. I've seen her guest star in a couple shows, and that's already more than the rest. Daniele was not as used this season, and Keegan-Michael... though he was in many one-off sketches that were funny, I still dunno if he will make it to next year.

So there's Season 11. I had no real beefs with any castmember, save for a few inadequate acting skills or versatility matters. I could sort of sense they had good chemistry, and that they were having a good time doing it, even if a couple of the sketches just plain sucked ass. Considering this was my first season of MadTV that I watched "regularly" after being a fan again, I would have to say I liked it

Well...it wasn't a bad season finale. Not S7/8 good, but beats the hell out of the S9/10 finale.
  • Make that TWO sketches Crista impressed me with this season. The 3 minute meals was the best sketch of the night, and Crista (actually) gave a good performance. Soooo, now I'd say that Crista is the "poor man's Nicole Sullivan", rather than the "homeless man living under a bridge's Nicole Sullivan".
  • 'The last Bae Sung ever' was funny in one way - how it made fun of itself. Yea, I'd like to know too, how the fcuk is "Uh-Oh Hot Dog" funny? Well, mizz?
  • Ike and Jordan > Ike and Bobby. 'Nuff said. Yea, the 'sketch' still sucked, but I'm just saying, it's a better duo than Ike/Bobby.
  • The Stuart Encore was good for nostalgic purposes...and that's it...but I think that was the whole point of the encore in the first place.
  • The Ring-a-Rounds...kind of like the Eracists in a way...and it was pretty funny too.
  • The rest was all alright. No Keegan, a lot of Daniele and Nicole P, and little Arden.
All in all, not a bad way to end this season. Yea, it got off to an abysmal start, but it actually ended pretty well. Still, I do consider it to be the 'worst.season.ever.', but hey, they can't all be winners, now can they. Bring on S12, I say!

6.5/10

I don't feel like doing a full review tonight; however, I want to address a couple of veeeeeeeeery interesting points.

You must never, ever, ever again mention those two names in the same sentence.

Hehehehe, actually, believe it or not, when I saw the first Luann sketch, something about Crista's performance sorta reminded me of Nicole's legendarily manic S1 monologues. No, Crista will never be Nicole's equal--early nominee for mammoth understatement of '06--but I guess I can see some similarities in the energy that both ladies bring to their performances. The difference, of course, lies in the fact that one is a brilliant actress, while the other is...um...well, Crista Flanagan. ;P (Aw, go easy on me, folks--that one was too good to pass up. )

I gots a better question for ya: What the "fcuk" makes "uh-oh, hot dog" any worse than "he looka like a man"; "whaaaat'd I do?"; "tchaaaa, y'know what?"; "look what I can do"; or any of the trillions of other recurring characters' tag lines? To me, "uh-oh, hot dog" is actually the least funny thing about Bae Sung, just as the other tag lines I mentioned are arguably the least funny things about their respective characters as well. If you guys could get past the "oh-God-he-says-'uh-oh-hot-dog'-every-time" aspect of Bae Sung sketches, then you might actually enjoy them once in a while. You might not, but then again--pardon the "punny" reference to tonight's sketch--sh!t happens.

I'm typing this as I watch it so I might not make sense... I;m even gonna rank the sketches.

Land Before Jesus: Haha this was interesting. It was a great to see an original weird idea that worked well. The green stuff that fell in their mouths by the dinosaur almost made me vomit.... Huge freaky lizards are pretty cool... Yeah the hair flipping was funny, I agree. Bobby giving directions was pretty funny too. But then the squirrel ate him .
This was a nice last minute suprise for the season. I hope to see something like this next season. It could be recurred successfuly I think. Nicole, Frank, Daniele and Bobby were all great in this too. Great sketch all around. 5/5

Ike+Jordan: last episode party: Sounds like fun. I love car comercials too. I hate myself for this but I actually like the Yaris but these sketches make me feel dirty. Sven was cool and he is a champ for tugging at Ike's undies haha. Too bad we didn't get to see any wrap party. But from now on, I'm going to call all cars by its full name to see if it catches on. 3.5/5

Accounting thingie: Yay I like a lot of cast members in sketches. Mike plays a good sketchy freaky pervo guy. Nicole's children had interesting names haha. She seemed so violeated, poor girl. I like how he even went for Jordan. Another good sketch. So far its a good night . 4/5

3 Minute Meal: Woah crazy hair on Christa, the ticking was annoying though. I brst out laughing when she smoked her head... I do that a lot. Cooking shows seem stressful but this was a great sketch too. Christa is great at freaking out and she was awesome in this sketch. They could recur this too and I wouldm be happy . The 2 minute meal sounds fun. 5/5

Ringarounds: I didn't know what the Wiggles were but that Pic makes me think they are creepy. This sketch didn't help haha. Nice song about the new mom and the one about the baby. It was awesome when he chucked the baby. The car whistle thing was reat too. The songs were written very well for this sketch too. So far I'm like blown away at these sketches, I think after tonight it's clear that these original sketches are better then seeing some overused characters. There is a lot of creativity in this episode and its getting me excited about season 12 already. 5/5

Bae-Sung: Oooh fancy film quality . I didn't expect Frank's Tony soprano to be as good as Will's but that doesn't really matter. This sketch made me think that the writers knew that Bae-Sung is overdone. And I can't think of any other proof than the act that they said his catchphrase is stupid and having Bobby ****ting Bae-Sung out. I wonder if Bobby running to the washroom super quick was a Chinese Food joke... maybe the best Bae-Sung... Not because he was made into Bobby poo but just because it was an interesting way to use the character. 4/5

Nannies: I really think Nicole Rj and Daniele are good together. I hope they both stick around for season 12. I think "tooter" is a good word . Another awesome sketch for the night. It was written very well and everyone was funny. 5/5

The First Stuart: I remember seeing this when it was new to me and I really loved it. Even though its an encore its still good to see Pat and Andrew. I thought they were great back in the day. I love that I can still laugh at this sketch even though its pretty old. Now that I think about it, even the recent Staurt sketches are good and it was the ones in like season 7/8 maybe were why I got bored of them but then they picked up again. I never noticed but downing a Fudgcicle would hurt the brain. Mike's a trooper . Aww this sketch really brought me back. A good encore to put in the season finale. Nice memories . 5/5

I dunno about anyone in the states but there is a commercial with a guy in Whizzer's costume Anyways...

Closing: Wow a real closing right on. Mike seemed really sincere which is nice. I think this was a great season closing for a very good, experimental season. I don't know about anyone else but I always look for sad faces to maybe get a hint about who might be leaving if the cast even has a clue... I don't want to put in any speculation because maybe the cast is emotional about the season ending but some expressions make me a tiny bit concerned. There is however a possibility I'm paranoid.

Summary: I was seriously blown away by this episode because they didn't just fill it with popular characters and instead ended the season with some very original sketches and concepts. I really think trying to be original and trying new things was the theme of this season and although a lot of people don't seem to like this season I thought it was great. I thought there was a great sense of teamwork in the sketches between the cast (although Keegan was practically missing) and that might be due to a large amount of sketches containing many cast members in them. It also seemed like the two featured members were ful fledged cast members which would be great for season 12. I think that right now, aside from 1 or 2 cast members, this cast is amazing. I look at them as the new faces of MadTV. In the past we had Nicole Sulivan Will Sasso Alex Borstein etc, but now we have this cast and they are just a good as the ones from the past. I hope that for season 12 we see mostly familiar faces because I don't think that the cast needs a huge revamp any time soon. The fact that I liked every sketch, even though some were recurring sketcehs that I don't usually enjoy as much is a good sign for next season. So I think that is all I have to say about this episode which is a lot but thats not a problem, its good that I have so much to say about it. I think it is definately a contender for best episode of the season and best season finale too.

The End...

I liked this episdoe a lot! The 3 Minute Meal was hillarious! And I don't really have anything against Bobby, he's just not that funny to me is all! And Nicole Randall Johnson is hillarious I absolutely love her! I pray to God that she is a key member for Season 12!

Land Before Jesus: this one wasnt bad, it was kind of funny at parts to see the gigantic cat or iguana. The whole episode was kind of cool and left tons of opportunity to make jokes although i dont think they really ran with those opportunities as well as they could have. Im happy though since Frank had the same name as me in this sketch, i think thats the first time ive ever heard my name in a show, besides harry potter....stupid frog.

Ike and Jordan: better than the typical Ike and Bobby stuff but thats just me. This sketch wasnt great but wasnt weak, there were parts. Loved it when Jordan just popped the guy in the head and Ike just drove away freaking out.

Pervert Mike: This one wasnt too bad, i never saw the very begginning of the episode, it looked like a guy was leaving the room when i came in, then it went to Arden, so im not sure if i missed any funnies or anything. Overall it wasnt bad, i liked how he came onto Jordan and he had no excuse to leave, he just ran. (if he doesnt come back next season this was a really good way to close for him)

3 minute meal: oh my god this was funny, by far the best of the night. She is so good at freaking out. There really wasnt any downside to this one.

Ringarounds: this one was kind of funny at parts, i liked the 2 parents song and the little sister one. The sketch was pretty well written too. Loved all the dancing at the end

Bae Sung: i cannot express in words my hatred for how unfunny this character is, the only saving grace of this episode was how he got turned into a burger. And my god the characters looked hilarious, especially Caetis, he kinda scared me a bit (no offense Frank)

Nannies: i love NRJ and Danielle, i think they are a riot. Loved Danielles lines, "get outta my face wit all that" she's a riot. Good episode, i was expecting to see the kid the whole way through, kind of like a stuart type kid but angry and violent.

Stuart: not bad, i remember this one. Not much can be said about it, but i find it weird to have the very first stuart sketch encored in the season finale. Or maybe its just me, but whatever it was still good.

Closing: aw i love full cast closings. Its good to see everyone together getting all emotional about the finale for season 11, good season overall keep it up

That was the joke. If you've ever seen a Sci-Fi movie, the special effects are awful.

As usual, I'm not gonna do a full review, but the Ringarounds were good ("I like my new mom better!") and 3 Minute Meal was the freaking funniest thing ever. And Crista is awesome.

And it felt so weird to see Doreen and Stuart come on screen and not hear any applause.

Actually, many of the more recent scifi flicks have pretty believable graphics, but they're catering to a whole different audience.

Why spend thousands of dollars and so much time on efforts that are not going to be well-received? Make the presentation look hokey and the audience is sure to react well.

well I watched, but with my brother who wouldn't shut the hell up, so I didn't get to pay close attention...I pretty much totally missed Land Before Jesus and the Ike/Jordan thing

The one with Mike as the perv or whatever was pretty funny. Three minute meal was really good. Ringarounds, Nicole's "I like new mommy better" or w/e song was hilarious. Good times. Bae Sung was retarded but at least they hinted that the character sucks ass. The nanny sketch was awesome. Daniele and Nicole RJ worked great together. The Stuart encore, oy...I pretty much despise all of the season 4 Stuart sketches because even Mo annoyed the hell out of me in them with the different voice and all. Not sure if I forgot anything but it was an ok episode from what I got to see in full. Crazy that the season is over already.

Thumbs Up

This was a solid season finale. Please let Bae-Sung stay dead. Please, if you do another "Medium" parody, don't let the medium resurrect him in her dreams. From beginning to end, one of the best, if not the best episode of the season. Although, Bobby did remind me of that character ("Mr. Peepers") Chris Kattan played on SNL for several seasons, in that Land Before Jesus sketch, from the weird language to the leg-humping.

For those of you that don't know Land Before Jesus was based on a real show from the 70s called Land of the Lost. Land of the Lost was known for it's terrible special effects and hokey lines and acting.

Even though I missed it, I knew it was based on the series in which future NBA all-star basketball Bill Lambeer played a sleezstack and Vh1 mistakenly said the guitar of the late 90's pop act "Sugar Ray" played the character "Chaka" on the series as a kid.
