I was like half asleep during this episode, LOL. I really gotta rewatch it. I do remember liking the red flag girls skit. It was really different. And then I fell asleep during the Stuart sketch, hehehe.

I though Nicole P. as a high school kid growing up was very funny. Definitely the best opening/introduction so far.

Weekends with Maury and Connie: Meh, Bobby was funnier as Connie out and about. I can't help but think I had something to do with this sketch. On MAD's message board, I asked if they would do this ever, out of curiosity. I don't remember much, except that it wasn't very good.

Nicole's Teenage Years: Oh Nicole, good ol' goofy looking teenager. But then adding a little clip show? I don't want MADtv for clips of previously funny bits. Still one of the best of the night.

Dr Kylie: Medical Malpractice Trial: She's funnier in the office insulting people, but this was a decent send-off. Nothing spectacular about it, but it wasn't horrible.

Rise and Shine, North Dakota: Worst sketch of the night. Even Nicole couldn't save this.

Hello, Iraq! Hello!: I hate to sound like I'm ragging on Nicole, since I really like what she does, but she's a bit overkill right now. I guess I should be happy, incase she leaves next season, but I was sick of seeing her by now. Funny in parts.

Ike and Bobby Go Clubbing: Some Ike and Bobby on the Town sketches work for me, this one didn't do so well.

Red Flag Girls: I swear I've seen that frazzle haired Stephnie before, I just can't remember when. The coldness to Arden was funny, and it probably was the best sketch of the night.

Encore: Stuart: Weren't there any 4 sketches to choose from for this "Best of Stuart" month? I was disappointed that they didn't play the sketch in its entirety. But that came second to replaying the sketch in the first place.

It was no #1119, but beggers can't be choosers.

This ep was kinda ehhhh...that Hello, Iraq, Hello thing SUCKED COMPLETELY (I think it's supposed to be one of those "so bad it's actually good" things...sort of like Luann Lockhart but even less funny), the Ike and Bobby thing was alright until they started fighting, Weekends with Maury and Connie shouldn't have been recurred (Mike's impression flat-out sucked), and finally, Steph wasn't THAT great last night (the two sketches she was in were okay but not great). Rise and Shine, North Dakota had one LOL bit - where the scenery fell over revealing the half-naked mayor of the town, but was otherwise meh. Overall, a pretty forgettable episode.

5.5/10

"Red Flag Girls" was hilarious. Definetly the best sketch in this episode.

She had hair like that in the "Bureau of Porn Star Registration" sketch in season nine. *cough*

Weekends with Maury and Connie: They must've done this before Maury was hit with that sexual harassment suit, because there was no reference to it. I've only seen Maury's daytime show a few times, but I don't remember him constantly yelling like that. Bobby's Connie Chung impression is one of my favorites, but this sketch was pretty lame.

Nicole's Teenage Years: Man, Nicole has barely aged at all. I liked this. She's such a cute, likeable, funny, down-to-earth chick.

Dr Kylie: Medical Malpractice Trial: What was this - Dr. Kylie's Greatest Hits Clipfest? Didn't see any point to this, other than to show those clips.

Rise and Shine, North Dakota: Keegan was a riot. ("Big Chief Lick My Balls") I liked the strange (unseen) announcer, too. A very bizarre sketch.

Hello, Iraq! Hello!: More bizarreness. But Bobby and Nicole play off each other well.

Ike and Bobby Go Clubbing: Not that funny, but I always seem to like seeing Bobby get hit. I fear he'll wind up like Chevy Chase did after his "Saturday Night Live" endless pratfall days, though; addicted to painkillers.

Red Flag Girls: Funny. And I agreed with the ranking. Nicole - marry, Arden - screw (but she'd have to come to bed as Jillian Barberie), and Stephnie - kill (although that is quite harsh; maybe Stephnie - knock unconscious, instead)

Encore: Stuart: Always loved Mo. One of my favorite Stuarts was the one where he's trying out for a tee-ball team, and the coach asks: "What are you mad at, Stuart?", and Stuart goes into that demented stare, and growls under his voice: "The wooooooorllld." I hope they include that one this month.

Overall, a fair to middlin' episode, but definitely better than last night's Tom Hanks SNL.

I don't know if you're aware, but that was one of the 4 (5?) options, so there's a 2 in 4 chance they'll encore it.

Thanks for the heads up, Dartanian. I didn't vote, and hadn't checked out the nominees, so I wasn't aware of that. That tee-ball one was, I think, the first glimpse into Stuart's decidedly "dark side". Previous editions just presented him as a strange, but harmless, man-child. But this one showed the demons beneath. I also loved the one where he started beating on some guy, with vicious, slapping windmill blows. Stu, you're one sick puppy.

I just realized that Jordan had a very small role in this episode. Dunno if that says anything.

And, Ike said he'd marry Arden, screw with Nicole, and kill Stephnie. :X

Ah yes, one of the sketches that brought me in to MADtv. I'd say it's on my top list of sketches. But did she have to same name? Did she even have a name? She looks too similar to be written off as another character.

I missed the first two sketches, so I can't comment on those.

I LOVED the Rise & Shine North Dakota sketch. This was the first MADtv season 11 sketch in a while that had made me laugh really hard. It was hilarious and Nicole, Michael and Keegan all did an awesome job. My favorite part was when the set fell over and it showed the mayor in her bra and panties. That was funny as hell. Then she came out acting like nothing happened. It was my favorite sketch of the night.

The Dr. Kylie sketch was kinda...meh. It was easily the worst sketch of hers. It seemed like an excuse to air clips as a sendoff. While it wasn't my favorite, it's always good to see Stephnie and it doesn't surprise me that they saved some of her appearances for May sweeps.

I enjoyed the Red Flag Girls sketch as well, mainly because Stephnie is always so funny in these type of roles, she made the whole sketch.

The Ike & Bobby stuff was kinda blah, as always. The Iraq sketch wasn't all that good either.

I think it's silly that when they say they are going to air "classic" Stuart sketches, they air one from last season when Mo was a guest star. They didn't even air the full sketch!

Overall, this episode wasn't too bad in comparison to a lot of the season, maybe partially due to Stephnie's appearances, Rise & Shine North Dakota and the encore w/ Mo Collins. 3/8 of the sketches relied on cast members no longer on the show. With that said, I actually enjoyed quite a few sketches and it was a very watchable episode without getting bored.

BTW, I fixed the date in the title of the thread.

You're absolutely right. So it turns out, I don't agree with the ranking. Because to me, Nicole is definitely a "marry".

I agree, that part alone made the sketch. The beginning of the sketch was 'meh', but once that happened, I was literally in hysterics. Keegan's part was good, too.

Weird, I usually remember to use the stupid American way of writing it. I think someone is messing with my head!

I was writing the date the Australia/European way because in German class the teacher required that we write it (like 9.5.06 *may fifth 2006* instead of 5.9.06) because she felt like it was cultural..? so i got in the habit of it and i haven't stopped until a while ago when I realized I might confuse myself when I look back at my journal entries. Wow, I'm a dork.
