For me, there weren't really any "laugh out loud" funny parts. I thought the restaurant sketch and the stripper sketch were kind of funny, but only in certain parts.

Like predicted, bobby lee got naked again and they all played with themselves...yawn. Oh, and more asian jokes...funny.

More Cragg? Damn, he has more sketches than Daniele does and he isn't even a castmember. What is up with that?!? Speaking of, it was nice to see Daniele in a sketch for a change. I almost didn't recognize her. lol

overall it was an ok episode, the inclusion of Caeti definetly made me happy since we havent seen him in forever.

Red Bice and Blue - I never watch american idol and never will, this sketch was just a lame stab at some guy that won second place. next. 1/5
Everyone Hates Morgan - good idea and carried out semi well, just extremely short. 2.5/5
Tammy the Stripper - good concept and at parts was pretty funny. My first laugh at an asian joke this season, good job writers. 3/5
60 Minutes - wth... that was extremely odd, although it was funny when his wife couldnt think of anything good to say. plus it gets a bonus for being caeti packed, hah. 3/5
Word Censorship - Not bad, swearing still makes me giggle especially when its a string of em and you have no idea what he's saying. 3/5
Playboy - ugh, naked bobby with ike again, and of course ike is playing with naked bobby in the pool, woopee freaking doo 1/5
Handicap Resteraunt - I really hate how they rely on this kind of humour to make people laugh, normally its only Cragg sketches but this one was just as bad. 1/5
Keg - Ok at the beginning, but Crista got really annoying after a while and it felt like it was dragged, it did have some very minimal moments though. Plus i noticed one of the guys in the back was wearing a red shirt with the 9 on it, its been in some past sketches i believe. 2/5
Cragg - Die Cragg, i hate these sketches with a passion, hes just so annoying! Although its not as bad as some of his others, this one is still no exception to his madness 1/5
Closing YES! Caeti finally did a closing, thats awesome, and it was the entire cast closing for that episode too, thats awesome. Plus i liked the slow motion running, the look on his face was funny. 4/5

Sooo the highlight of this episode for me was definetly the closing and possibly the censorship.

Overall a 4/10 for this episode

Good episode. Nice amount of one-off sketches. Cragg was pretty good. I generally liked this one.

4/5

I liked this episode. I missed some parts of the sketches because i was in and out of the room I was watching it in. I hope the sketches are put on youtibe or something. Last weeks werent and I still havent seen the new Yvonne Criddle :'(

Anyays I think the 60 Minutes was really really funny. Frank Caeti is so great on the show, I'm convinced.

Default RE: Episode #1118

It was alright! The highlight of the episode would have to be Tammy the Stripper, Handicap Restaurant, 60 Minutes & Everybody Hates Morgan!!! C'mon MADtv where are those great, lol-piss in pants-die laughing funny recurring characters like Antonia, Lorraine, Stuart, Bunifa, UBS Guy, Ms. Swan, etc. that we loved oh so much from previous seasons!?!?!?!? We need more not this one time thing with bad sketches, you guys need improving!

Red, Bice & Blue: The Best of Bo Bice CD - Okay funny, didn't drag too much! Ike does a good Bo Bice! 2/5

Everybody Hates Morgan - Very funny to me! Wish it lasted a little longer! Funny though, loved the KKK part! - 3/5

Tammy the Stripper - Highlight of the night for me! Kinda a knock-off of Stephnie Weir's 'Sherry the Stripper' but still funny! Loved the jokes Michael put out, especially the Asian one to Bobby's character!!! 3.5/5

60 Minutes - Funny As Hell!!!! I loved this one a lot! I loved Ardyn & Crista's part they were funny! And I loved Frank Caliendo's part at the end! Very funny! 4/5

Word Censorship - Pretty funny, Jordan made the sketch I think, but Ike & Michael both shined! It made me laugh that's all that counts! 3/5

Ike, Bobby & Jordan At the Playboy Mansion - Funny, the best part was when the 3 snuck around in the back making the animal noises!!!! Very funny!!!! Gotta love Bobby's nakedness!!! Haha! Ike's not bad either

Handicap Restaurant - Funny!!!! Loved Crista in this one! I loved her facial expressions & how she did her angerness!!! 3/5

Keg Party - Okay funny, draged on for a while, Arden's funny and all but it just took forever to complete this sketch! 2/5

Cragg - Funny, but I think we're having a little too much of Cragg lately maybe we should have him 4 or 5 times a season! 2/5

Close with Frank Caeti - Miss those old closings with the cast from previous seasons! Good to see kinda the same here! 3/5

Overall Episode Rating: 3/5

Disregarding Cragg, this episode was devoid of recurring characters. That can actually be a good thing sometimes.

I mean... 'sketch comedy show' is the label for MadTV. There will always be favorites like Stuart&Lorraine and Vancome Lady that were classics, but I like to see an episode where the show isn't dependent on things for humor.

Then again...there's Bobby's nekkid scene in this one. Never mind.

Alright, I did the Who/What for this episode. Any changes/alterations? I tried to match up the 60 minutes people, but there may be mistakes as I did it based on looks. LOL.

Wow I was reading the comments and it looks like a missed a lot. I guess I really got occupied while I was away from the TV :'(.

I hope this gets a re-run during the summer or I'm going to cry I think.

Crista's handicapped restaurant hostess was sick, but it did make me laugh. Her Tammy the Stripper did as well, but I could see why she might wind up unable to use her legs - Crista, I love you, baby, but those calves and thighs have no muscle definition - Stairmaster those gams, honey! The character Arden played in that kegger sketch reminded me of that really annoying character Amy Pohler has played on "Saturday Night Live", "Caitlyn", I think she's called. Although Arden wasn't as annoying. I know quite a few people on here dislike Arden, but that chick has started to grow on me. She's funny, and cute in a non-traditional way (okay, she's a little weird looking, but I like 'em a little weird).

Normally I like the Cragg pieces, but this one reminded me too much of that earlier one, where he went to the park with the other fathers to play touch-football against their kids. I thought it was a "MADtv Encore" at first. I agree with MADtv_Est.'95 - 4 or 5 a season from Cragg sounds about right. Yo, Steven: less is more.

I don't think Arden's that weird looking, unless you mean her face is a little ... smooshed together (can't think of another way to describe it). I think she has a rubber face, in that she can look alot different from one sketch to the next, with minimal make up changes. She looks Scandanavian to me, which she is, which would explain why I think she looks that way.

Are you implying that people of Scandinavian descent have...smooshed faces?

Anyway... yeah, Myrin is a Swedish surname. And though I'm straight, I think Arden looks cute in some photos...but the first time I saw her she looked older than I thought she looked. Same thing with Steph Weir, actually.

But yeah, she is really versatile. I can't find many similarities between her Tara Reid and Jennifer Love Hewitt. ;P

Stop reading into things womfi.

Looking Scandinavian has nothing to do with her "smooshed face" really, it's more her nose. Half of my family are Scandinavian and we don't have smooshed faces.

And versatility in appearance doesn't equal versatility in character.

The Mighty Mizz at last breaks his silence, and some wind.

The Best Of Bo Bice: "Red, Bice and Blue"--O.K., it's official: all of you are certifiable. This is friggin' hilarious! You don't have to know anything about Bo to appreciate the many gratuitous references to "the flag," esp. if you live in the South. Ikeman "rocks, rocks, rocks, rocks, rocks" in this...fo' sheez 'n' stuff.

Everybody Hates Morgan--While not consistently funny, Jordan/Morgan's sermonizing to the Klansmen--"look at yourselves!"--is hilarious. I agree that the sketch is too short: more could have been done to extend the concept a bit. Still, overall, it's a winner.

Tammy the Stripper--This sketch should be renamed "Lucas the Trailer Trash Husband" b/c this is McD's show from start to finish, esp. the Asian line. This is the kind of character that Michael plays extremely well, and he doesn't disappoint here. Crista is, as usual, obnoxiously overbearing, but fortunately, she doesn't completely ruin this sketch. (I emphasize "completely.")

60 Minutes--This went on way too long. Oh, and hey, everyone, guess what? Arden plays a dumbbell! (Psh, you guys think that Bobby is typecast?) Still, Frank's underrated Andy Rooney impression is worth waiting for, even if the performance here doesn't quite match up to the hilarious Season 9 appearance. BTW, nice "cameo" from Nicole P.

Network Censor--While not consistently LOL funny, this sketch is nonetheless an effective satire of the hypocrisies of censorship. I like hearing McD test the boundaries of "decency"; his Will Ferrell-like sarcasm is put to good use here. Jordan's cussing streak at the end is over the top, but it's a minor sin.

MADtv At The Playboy Mansion--If you guys could get past the "oh God, Bobby is naked again" aspect of these sketches, then you might like them a lot more, ya know. As usual, Ike and Bobby deliver, and I like seeing Jordan mix it up with the two of them as well. Love the "trees" bit in particular--well, that and, of course, Bobby's trampoline act.

Handicap Hostess--You know what the real crime of this sketch is? Nicole S., Mary, Mo, or perhaps even Steph could have really made this work. Instead, we're "treated" to perhaps the worst acting in "MADtv" history. Seriously, Crista's performance is downright painful. I mean, yeah, as everyone knows, I'm not a Crista fan, but I'll grant you that she's had at least a handful of decent moments. In this sketch, however--and please, Crista fans, I'm trying not to insult the poor woman--she comes across as a five-year-old girl trying to read cue cards. She overly annunciates nearly every single word of dialogue, and her face displays the same borderline psychotic expression throughout. In fact, I don't even laugh at this sketch until McD stumbles out with his walkers. I'm sorry to offend the deep-seated Crista lovers around these parts, but I'm tired of seeing her almost singlehandedly ruin what could be great one-off sketches. And, hey, speaking of ruining one-off sketches...

Teen Fraternity Keg Party--This one's not even worth talking about, really, but I'm sure that I can find some words. Let's see: Arden Myrin, the most one-dimensional cast member in "MADtv" history, plays a totally unfunny, bratty kid. The end.

Cragg: Father-Son Day--Because the last two of these were so bad, I initially groaned when I saw "cragg" pop up on my TV screen. "This had better be good!" I yelled at the TV screen. My TV "answered back" with one of the best Cragg sketches evvah. I especially love the rather painful interchange with the "short person." And is there a better parental role model than Steven Cragg? Of course not--oh, snap!--and that's why I love him to death in this. Every father's son should be "lucky" enough to drink beer with Papa Cragg, although I could have done w/o the vomit. Still, great way to close the show.

Close: Frank Caeti and the Cast--Umm, I don't review anonymous cast closings, bitch.

Well, overall, this ep is either a strong 3/5 or a weak 4/5. Eh, WTF, take away Crista's and Arden's pathetic contributions, and, yeah, it's a 4/5. So there's mah rating 'n' whatnot. And I'll leave the good folks at "MADtv" with some much-needed advice: the next time you decide to make Crista or Arden the lead character in a one-off sketch, find a cast member with the first name Nicole, and make a last-minute switcheroony, arright, babez? Luv ya!

Bo Bice on Mad TV? - Imitation, the Sincerest Form of Flattery
My daughter, Daphne, 7 years old, was mighty upset this past Saturday night. She had seen it advertised that Bo Bice was going to be on Mad TV April 15th. I tried to tell her that he really wasn't, but well, what do I know? Normally I don't let her watch this show — overall the content not appropriate for her age, too risqué — but to prove a point, I was willing to let her see at least parts of this episode.

The show opened with a parody of "Bo Bice" singing songs from his songs from his "new" CD, Bo, Bice, and Blue. Daphne sat watching for a moment with a look of puzzlement on her face, then she exclaimed, "Momma, that guy so wants to be Bo Bice but he just can't sing!" She added, "Bo will pop out in just a minute and will be all laughing about this other guy trying to be like him. Bo is so funny, he is probably in the back laughing too hard to come out!"

I sat quietly working on an article. The skit was over and no real Bo appeared. Ike Barinholtz did a great job 'doing Bice.' He wore a fringed jacket, swung his long brown wig around and worked a mic stand. I attempted to explain that this was like a joke to tease Bo, but in a good way, and was a compliment. I pointed Ike out when he appeared in other skits, but she was having none of that.

She struggled so hard to stay awake, it was cute yet sad: her head did that sort of jerk that happens when you're falling a sleep sitting up. I finally encouraged her to lie down on the sofa, and predictably she went out like a light. Taking her to bed later, she sleepily asked me, "What happened to Bo and why wouldn't those people on the show let him come out?" (Mean people.) You see, I still know nothing about anything.

Bo Bice, 'graduated' from A.I. 4 and is working to become a star in today's music industry with a loyal, dedicated fan base. He should be pleased with this parody: the fact the skit would even be considered, especially opening the show, speaks loud and clear regarding Bo's increasing popularity - plus the writers and the cast are obvious fans. It was all good fun, and with his sense of humor, I'm sure he liked it.

Gosh, GJ MAD!

And to me, it wasn't even entertaining. Didn't potentially scar my childhood, but it wasn't entertaining. I didn't even know who Bo Bice was before the mention of this. I don't watch Idol.

But from what I've heard...yeah. He should be flattered, to an extent. You can tell you're famous enough if you're good material for parody. Because if you're just dumb and unpopular, nobody will know who the hell you are in a skit. That's a positive way of putting it.
