I don't think there was ever a time I actually groaned during this episode...with the exception of a few seconds during Cragg and Blind Kung Fu Master in the beginning.

I'm gonna need some help with the WHO/WHAT this week, since I haven't seen any of the sketches. If you can come up with a better sketch name than the one I have listed, by all means offer it up. And if you have names for the characters played by eah castmember, even better. At the bare minimum I would like to know who appeared in the zombie party sketch.

All right, I suppose that I should finally do what I promised. Red marker, attack!
![]() Hamburger Helper--The only thing about this that really made me laugh was, sadly enough, something that the mitt "said": "Damn, woman, it's a simple recipe!" Other than that, nyah. Michael's Adopted Baby Beth--The pictures are the funniest part, and Michael himself is all right, I guess. Still, these aren't McD's glory days by a long shot. Dammit, where's Nicole Sullivan when you need her the most? ![]() ![]() Yvoone Criddle: Stolen Parking Spot--Danielle's one true bright spot from last season is the "People's Court" sketch. This isn't nearly as funny, but, sadly enough--where have I heard that before?--this might be her best work to date this season. Blind Kung Fu Master: Blind Kung Fu Student--I was thrilled to see ol' Frankie in this, if only b/c he gets a chance to test his wings as a potential recurring character. (Too bad he's leaving. ![]() Fake Lesbian--And now the red marker gets its first real workout. While I applaud "MADtv" for finally trying out some one-offs in this ep, this one is truly awful. Arden is absolutely unbearable, as always, and Crista isn't much better. The real shame here, though, is that the idea for the sketch seems actually quite good, even if the jokes aren't particularly great. Even so, Arden and Crista's overacting completely ruin this for me. HNL: Ice Age II Cast--Ehh, this had its moments, I guess. I don't really have an opinion one way or another. I'd much rather talk about... Never-ending Conga Line--This, and this alone, made this ep worth watching. Even though this could technically be called a parody ("The More You Know"), it still works great as a one-off sketch. (Even Arden and Crista can't ruin it. ![]() Shoe Saleswomen--I guess I should be careful about what I wish for. This sketch is technically a one-off, but I have a bad feeling that we'll see these characters again in the future. At any rate, the only thing I even came close to laughing at is Nicole P.'s breakdown, which was nonetheless overdone and a bit too long. Nicole R.J. is O.K., I guess, but once again, "can I just say" that Arden and Crista again ruin a potentially good sketch with their horrible acting? One could argue that they are being typecast as ditzes and are therefore "in their element," I suppose, but the result is still not the least bit funny. Like store items at a liquidation sale, Arden and Crista must go. Cragg: Zombie Surprise Party--Awful, awful, awful. If this is truly a sketch that "MADtv" originally refused to air, then for once, I commend everyone involved for making a wise decision. There could have been no more appropriate conclusion than the test pattern at the end. Hmm, might be time to put a cap on Cragg. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Close: Yvoone Criddle--Eh, whatever. So in summary--hehehehehe ![]() ![]() __________________ "Charles Nelson Reilly is a bad mutha...." "Shut yo' mouth!" "I'm talkin' 'bout Macho Chuck." "We can dig it!" |

In Karen's New Girlfriend [which is how it was titled in the credits at the end of the show], the characters were... • Arden - Karen • Michael - "Leslie" For the next two, I'm not sure who plays who. I know Arden just said the two names to Daniele and Crista but she didn't distinguish who was who • Patty • Yvonne/Ivanne? [I think Yvonne is the way one would normally spell the name ee-VAHN, right?] Let's Be Honest [also had this title shown in the credits] The place was called the Shoe Shed • Crista - Ariel • NRJ - Bree • Arden - Monica • Nicole - Jenny And I'm about 99% sure I'm right that the Zombies were... • Steven Cragg • Daniele • Arden • Crista • Jordan • Ike And that's all I've got. ![]() |

Let's Be Honest: It ran a bit long, but I thought it was an okay sketch, written by Crista and Nicole RJ. Nicole Parker's ridiculous overacting and crying actually made me laugh. Arden does not look good in wigs like that.
Cragg: Uh... atleast it wasn't Cragg being Cragg. I only really liked the Thriller dance. I'm tired of seeing Cragg. Close: Could barely hear Yvonne. Still a favorite of mine. Quote:

Did anybody notice that the girl that the Cragg guy was kissing in the Zombie sketch was the same girl they used in the duralog twins sketch back in episode 4. She was the girl sitting with a guy in front of a TV watching the duralog twins commercial. She must be some sort of intern or must be related to somebody on the show.
I signed up just to say this. ![]() |

I finally saw this episode!
Ok...this is weird. For the second time this season, they aired and produced a "lost" sketch that was performed at the Chicago Improv Festival in 2004. I saw that same zombie sketch two years ago performed by the MADtv writers, minus the Cragg intro and the producer coming out at the end. I mentioned this in a previous thread, but the "Gayngsta" sketch from a few episodes back was also performed at CIF in 2004, only with Ike and Josh. It's really weird, I wonder how often they go back and dig up sketches that didn't make it to air and decide to produce them? As for this episode, I thought it was one of the better ones this season. I LOVED Yvonne Criddle and I'm so happy they brought her back. The lesbian sketch was hilarious as well. I have this feeling that Daniele might not be back next season, because she hasn't been used that much this season, but this episode really showcases her talent. She's awesome. I'm not that huge of a fan of the "HNL" sketches, but this was one of the better ones. Let's Be Honest was pretty funny as well, although I find Arden really irritating. Hamburger Helper was pretty good too. __________________ Matt (the OTHER one) "If you want to be a better actor - a better lawyer, doctor, teacher - anything - be a better human being." ~ Debra Wilson |

I thought the Whole Nother Level sketch was really funny. I haven't seen any of the others, but I was expecting it to be a typical Keegan-annoys-people-by-screaming-at-them character and was surprised that there was no screaming involved at all. Keegan may have finally found a decent character. This character and Dr. Funkenstein > Coach Hines and Jovan Muskatelle.

I saw the Yyvonne Criddle and the Conga sketch. I didn't get to see the rest of the episode, it all sounds good, except for the Blind Kung Fu. I love Danielle Gaither like no other! She really got screwed over, but she was brilliant in Criddle's sketch. Conga line was great, I'm surprised Frank Caeti wasn't thrown in there to have a complete cast conga. And entire cast is a rare for sketches (am I right in thinking this) The only other sketch that comes to mind is in season 6 I think it was Nicole Sullivan's final episode in the "Extra Class" sketch......but still great two sketches. I hope to catch this full episode sometime.
