That's the 78th Academy awards (unless they traveled back through time to the 80's, which actually would be an interesting idea for a sketch). Also, the Brokeback parody that everybody's been feverishly anticipating was in the commercial preview, so it's a good bet that we'll finally see that, too.

They let MADtv on the Oscar Red Carpet? I wouldn't have expected them to allow the shmucks of MAD to talk to the high class Academy Award crowd.

This whole Bobby Lee segment sounds like a huge waste of time.
This is a sketch show, I could care less about Bobby's quest to audition for Louie Anderson with the guy from that awful Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle movie. How lame. There are WAY too many segments like this that are low budget and waste a lot of time. It's so annoying! Who really even cares to watch that? I think the 24 with Bobby Lee sketches are funny. I've only seen two of the three that have aired, but I don't think they are cheap time wasters just because they're filmed outside of the studio. They may not cost as much because they don't have sets and whatnot, but that doesn't make them pointless.
I do have a problem with the amount of sketches Bobby and Ike appear in out of character though. It annoys me that we see Ike and Bobby going to the movies or trying to pick up girls, Ike and Bobby on the Red Carpet, 24 with Bobby Lee, show open with Bobby and Ike ... there are ELEVEN other castmembers and they never do any of this stuff, with the occassional exception. What makes them so special? That annoys me. __________________ What happened to Andrae? ![]() |

However, I think that doing 3 this season is going way too far. The 1103 one with Jordan sucked, and the 1107 one with John Cena was tolerable, but not great. Of course, these segments alone aren't too bad, but when you consider there have been 3 "Out on Town" sketches similar to this (one that was miserable, two I never saw but sound bad) and 2 more to go, and no less than SEVEN Cragg "movies" (3 that have aired already; and 4 more to go this season), it really begs the question: Where the f**k is the budget? On that note, where the f**k are the writers?! Also, I'm sick and tired of Ike and Bobby appearing in just about EVERYTHING under the sun this season! They've appeared in every Red Carpet segment (except the one in 1102 with Nicole P and Bobby, which was actualy GOOD), just about every opening, the aforementioned "Out on Town" sketches, On the Download, that awful Knobs sketch, and 24 with Bobby Lee. It's really baffling why MAD would place the primary focus on their two weakest castmembers, and leave poor Daniele out in the cold. I hate to say it, but I'm really starting to miss Andrew Daly right about now. C'mon MAD, less Ike and Bobby, more Nicole P and Nicole RJ!!! Sorry about that little rant there...but that's just how I feel. I don't like to be so negative, but I just had to get that all out. ![]() __________________ I've gone minimalist now Last edited by Cagnazzo; 03/14/2006 at 5:21 PM. |

YES!!!!!! This will be breathtaking no matter what! It cannot fail! What a stupid song and Ashlee simpson deserves to be riped apart in this sketch.... I also would like to say I like the 24 sketches and I like Bobby a lot more in this season than any of the others....I think this could be a good episode. __________________ We All Go A Little MAD Sometimes... Hmm...this sounds like a pretty good episode. I'm excited for the L.O.V.E. parody...I don't wanna look at it...I wanna be totally surprised.
Anyways, most of these Bobby Lee sketches people have been talking about have been pretty funny. While they may be cheap laughs, it's better than some crap in past years (not to mention this season) that totally suck, with no value whatsoever. As for Cragg and On the Download, those REALLY, REALLY sucked. __________________ If you are illiterate, you can't read this. ***Winner of Worst Username in the '05 Planet MADtv Awards*** |

One of our Potential Parody dreams has come true! The clip looks like it's a really good parody, and Nicole looks more Ashlee than ever before. I never really saw her much in the black/brown hair Ashlee, but blonde L.O.V.E. Ashlee is spot on, looks wise.
If Nicole Parker can give us a decent musical parody every week, I don't care. One of those can make up for 2 Ike and Bobby sketches or one Cragg. |

According to the Informer, we can also expect the "Weekends with Connie & Maury" sketch and "Cragg: Make a Difference."
