Snoop Dogg music video: "Get Paid" - I thought this was pretty funny. It had it's moments. Haha the nerdy kid with the ICED OUT GRILL! Daniele cracked me up. And Ike poppin dat ass! 3/5

Opening: Jamie Pressly - Openings aren't really that funny to me. This was no different. Oh my, Bobby Lee in high waters. Oh. My. I don't recall laughing at this. 0/5

FOX! NFL Superbowl Sunday - Damn. They made Keegan look super black in this episode. Arden looked like Jessica Simpson. Haha. I loved the poem. ^_^ "Guys, don't fight over me. *chair*" This wasn't that funny but it had some moments. 2/5.

Last Holiday - Haha Queen Latifa does act like that in all her movies. Not that accurate of an impression but it was funny. Oooh gurl. LMAO. "Telephone Pole." "Black Irish". 4/5

QVC: Valentines Edition - Gawd. What a greedy bitch. Lmao. Crista's outfit was super horrible. Hahaha. Blowing the quacker in Mike's ear. "As long as he doesn't have a television." I love Daniele. Lol. Ike's outfit was funny. 3/5

Tank: Superbowl Tailgate Party - The Stick Chicks hat? I only laughed when he slammed the door in his brother's face. 0.5/5

My Name is Dubya - Lmfao. Is George's brother really retarded?! God I hope not. Anyway, not that funny. Ike was the funniest in this sketch in my opinion. 2/5

Marvin Tikvah: Star Search 2 - Hahahahahaha. I loved this. I love the improv lines. Rofl. "Try to stop blazing." Haha. That girl was great. "In an area near my genitals." Haha. 5/5

OMG commercial for date movie! First time I've seen it. Cant wait til that shiz comes out! =D

Phone Conversation 2 - It didn't get funny until Nicole started saying calling a Dookie something. Hahaha. That was hilarious. But that was all I needed. 3/5

Steven Cragg Number 3,343,234,098 - Haha. It was hilarious when the man got the ball and fell when he was running. Lol. I did that in middle school once. Rofl. The kid got thrown into the fence. In slow motion. Hahaha. Good moments in this sketch. 3.5/5

Closing - Omg here is my transcript for the closing.

Crista: Thank you and good night. (Bobby and Arden play chase. Keegan fornicates Crista)

[end sketch]

But this wasn't meant to be funny...at least I hope not. 0/5.

This is MAH episode review and that is MAH truth!

Hmm, a good Season 11 episode. There were three sketches I thought were great - My Name is Dubya (didn't disappoint at all), QVC Quacker Factory (Nicole P RARELY disappoints), and Nicole RJ's Queshon character (being the first time I saw this character, I really liked it) Cragg was actually good this time (!?!?! ), some parts were kind of meh, but I did laugh quite a bit, which is a bit uncharacteristic for a Cragg film. FOX NFL Sunday was lame, but it was much better than the last two, because the sketch didn't focus entirely on Arden. The opening video wasn't that good (it lasted too long) but Keegan's Snoop Dogg impression has improved quite a bit, and the part with the "pimped-out" kids was good. Nicole RJ's Queen Latifah was kind of a letdown (I think I set my expectations way too high ), but it wasn't bad overall, and neither was the Last Holiday sketch. Tank sucked, like he always does, but there was one mildly interesting part in the whole sketch, where he tried to act like the Stick Chicks. Haha that was great. Marvin Tikvah was kinda bad too, it dragged quite a bit, but I thought the lazy girl got in a few funny lines. The good really outweighed the bad here, which is something you can't say too much about Season 11. Hey, maybe Season 11 isn't that bad after all...*

7/10

*After this good episode, I have a feeling 1114 will be a complete bomb, much like 1110 sucking in the footsteps of a funny 1109.

It's been awhile since I did one of these. This episode started off bad, but got better towards the end.

Snoop Dog - Get Paid: This was a bad bit to start with. It was barely funny in my opinion. The kid with the grill was the best part, and it was like a 3 second shot. Keegan's Snoop Dog is pretty good though.

Open - Jamie Pressly: I really like Jamie Pressly. She's the "Cheer-tator" you know? I think the Jamie/Lisa Marie joke fell flat though and Bobby's Bruce Lee costume didn't do it for me this time.

Fox NFL Superbowl Sunday: I'm not a fan of these sketches. I did like Keegan yelling about Donovan McNabb and Jordan saying "Negro please, we are on tv!"

Last Holiday: Nothing special here, but NRJ as Queen Latifah just made me laugh, she didn't look like her, but you got the point. "Ooo Gurl, I ain't going up there."

QVC - Quacker Factory: This was funny. I laughed everytime Nicole used the duck call. Especially when she got a piece of chocolate in it. Daniele was so funny in that chocolate kiss outfit.

Tank - Tailgate Party: I can't stand Tank. I did think it was funny when he was jumping all over the car. His Dae WOO I mean.

My Name Is Dubyah: I haven't seen My Name is Earl, but the premise is interesting. I liked this sketch alot though. Especially when she turned out to be Hillary and Dubya was like "You coulda been firt lady!" And she goes, "Dumbass, I was first lady.."

Marvin Tickvah - Search for a Star: What the hell was up with that girl? Something about her seemed... off. Like instead of just answering questions, she purposely tried to seem funny? I dunno, maybe it's just me. But I loved when she said she was gonna stop blazing and he said"...and by that, do you mean smoking pot or using a blowtorch?"

Valentines Day Order: This sketch was amusing all around, but it good really good toward the end. Right when they started about the mom. Then she kept putting him on hold and she's like "Sir, I got all day!" and Ike's like "Bring it!"

Cragg - Football Game: This was the first Cragg I laughed at. For some reason, I find child violence humorous. And the one father doing the touchdown dance? Congrats on your new found humor Steven Cragg.

OMFG the Steven Cragg sketch was really funny. The phone sketch with Nicole RJ and Ike was kinda funny. That girl in the Marvin Tikvah sketch is a pothead, Cool!! Bush was ok. Tank sucked. QVC was really funny. Nicole RJ played a good Queen Latifa, also funny. NFL Superbowl Sunday was ok. The opening sketch with Jaimie Pressly and Bobby was ok. The Snoop Dogg music video was, let me think. um, ah, eh, oh, em, hmmm

OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This ep was moderate. I did enjoy nicole's qvc character...she was good in it...nicole hardly ever fails to make me laugh.

Of course, the steven crapp sketch wasn't very good..imo.

"You are now watching MadTV": Wow I haven't heard that in soo long. I was actually thinking about how the Song isn't very audible anymore and I never get to here that because there are no reruns in Canada. Brought back memories. Good start to another sweet episode.

Snoop Dog - Get Paid: This was really good I think. Once the rap started it got even better. Everyone was funny in this. Keegan's impression, Daniele's singing and Ike's rapping were great! The lyrics were really funny especially because it was aimed at those kids.

Open - Jamie Pressly: This was pretty good. I like Jaime Pressly. That tight outfit was worse than when he is naked.

Fox NFL Superbowl Sunday: This was good. I was expecting John Madden but I guess he doesnt do those shows. The impression Arden does makes me wanna watch football... All of the impresions were funny. Did anyone see Frank Caeti dancing at first? It was like a rave lol. When Arden gave the chair I was dying of laughter and the entire beating of Keegan was great but the tackle at the end was the best. Frank got good air lol. The mannequinn got it's ass kicked.

Last Holiday: Ooh girl this was great. Nicole RJ is soo great in everything. All Queen Latifa's movies are the same finally someone brought it up on TV!! The telephone pole looks good I wonder when it's comming out.

QVC - Quacker Factory: I enjoyed watching Nicole discover her costume. The Marshmallow was stylish... I think its so funny how they have the XXXXL sell first. I should watch a shopping thing and see if that happens IRL.

Tank - Tailgate Party: Was that a Stick Chicks hat?? I think it was. Thats prett much the only part that matters...

My Name Is Dubyah: First off, I think Ike was supposed to be impersonating Earl brother on the show. He is slow but if Bush's brother is a senator then i don't think he is that slow IRL. I love the show My name is Earl and this was a good sketch to parody it.

Marvin Tickvah - Search for a Star: Wow that girl caught Mike off guard by saying whatever she got censored for. I loved that he burst out laughing. I kinda think it was an asian joke but I'm just guessing. I think maybe she was fried. Maybe she blazed before she went. That would be a surreal experience. I think that perhaps... No One sent in a tape at all so they have to retry the contest. I don't know that people took the contest seriously because it is a poof show and Marvin Tikvah isn't very trustworthy Maybe I'll send in a tape.

Valentines Day Order: She's back so soon? I'm glad that she is. This is the stuff I don't mind seeing every week. She is smart funny too which is great. I would someday like to see her go face to face with someone instead of over the phone. The whole Moma thing was funny. I really like this character. I don't wanna say the new vancome lady but it's definately a great character.

Cragg - Football Game: His sketches are getting better. This one was great. He throws like I do.... I wonder if that is actually his son. When the kids started to antagonize I knew that they would get killed. I'm glad they got hurt because its funny when kids get their ass handed to them. The Morgan Freeman thing was funny and so was the running thing at the end. I forget where that is from though .

Closing: I'm just glad that they put both featured cast memebers on stage It made me smile Aww and they Hugged.

Default Show Notes 1113

Any reason why last week's episode thread got so few relies? On a side note, does anyone know any side dishes that go well with shoe (see the Bobby Lee Underwear Count thread)?
  • Oh,. sh!t! The "You are now watching MADtv" with the MADtv logo before the opening sketch! We haven't had one of those in a while.
  • Snoop (Keegan) makes a music video about little kids playing football. This (I'm pretty sure) was just a music video, not a parody of any song. Oh, and, it sucked. Moving on...
  • Next up, Bobby with a cold opening with Jamie Pressley where he gets his information wrong, thinking she's related to Elvis. Oh, and Bobby is Bruce Lee's son. Something tells me Bruce would be very dissapointed in Bobby Lee.
  • An NFL Sunday sketch about the Super Bowl. This one was better than the others, and it was the first time Keegan has been impressive all season. But it was kind of wierd seeing the cast members play the hosts, especially since they usually just get the hosts to guest star. Not enough money in the budget perhaps? I mean, there HAVE been no Encores this season (yeah, last season there were only two, but it DID get cut by 2 eps, and I believe the first had already aired by this point last year.)
  • "Donovan McNabb is a bitch!"
  • Awesome, a Last Holiday parody. I'm so glad they made fin od this; that movie was utter sh*t.
  • A QVC sketch about... about Valentine's day, but I was sure I heard something about the Super Bowl.
  • Tank sketches are all the same, just in different locations. This one was at the Super Bowl tailgate party. Damn, those extra girls were HOT. I must say, though, that I feel so sorry for Kenneth. He's always getting screwed. Kind of like us when we get stuck with these sketches.

    ...

No, seriously, this one was average, just like all the others.
  • In "My Name Is Dubya,." George Bush is told that he'll never amount to anything, and is trying to make up for all the mistakes he made. Too bad the REAL Dubya couldn't be like that. Also, he apparently dated Hilary Clinton and she dumped him (because he wasn't good in bed?).
  • Marvin Tikvah shoes up to the MADtv stage, introduced as "Gwen Stefani...'s neighbor." Damn, must suck to be Marvin Tikvah. He talks to the people he asked to send him videos (well, those that weren't from prison).
  • In Nicole RJ's phone service sketch, a man (Ike) is trying to order cookies for Valentine's Day, when Nicole's character gets pissed that a man so rich only gets his girlfriend some cookies. She then asks if he as a girl on the side, and then gets upset when he calls his mother a bitch. Okay sketch, but having one so soon after the last was a bad idea.
  • On an unrelated note, there was a little ad at the bottom of the screen for the Arrested Development finale. Excuse me while a part of me dies.
  • In the Cragg sketch, Steven plays in a father-son football game, where the fathers are losing to the kids, when they resort to cheating. I don't get why everyone hates the Cragg sketches; I rather enjoy them. My main complaint is that they're usually among the best sketches of the night, which is a damn shame that the writers are putting THEMSELVES in the better sketches.

All in all, okay episode.

okay, so I might have been wrong. The Stephen Cragg sketch was OKAY..but I still think it's stupid how he has soo many. We see more of him than poor Frank Caeti

I thought the My Name is Dubya sketch was OKAY but I think that is even an overstatement..it was just ...blah. I think we have enough George Bush sketches to tide us over for a very long time.

This weeks Comcast sketch was HILARIOUS! I love NRJ. OOH OH I also loved the Last Holiday thing.."ooo GURL i only got 3 weeks to live. IMMA LIVE IT UP" hahaha. YeA NICOLE! YOU GO GURL!

The QVC thing was also funny. FINALLY a sketch in which michael didn't make me want to slit my own throat! Oh he did good in the Marvin Tikvah sketch too..I hafta agree with Morgie though..it seemed like she was saying weird **** to be funny or something..why would you say "I gotta stop blazin" on TV? thats just RETAHDID.

Umm the rest of the stuff was either ok/stupid/mademewannakillmyself.

You must be thinking about that sketch from 804 (i think that was the ep #..god im a DORK) where Ike is yelling at the team for the school of the blind and mildly retarded or something..which was MUCH better than this piece of sh*t sketch. the only thing i found funny was that kids gold teeth retainer thingy cuz someone in my ghetto school drama class has one.

I have to say that my favorite part of the show was the "You are now watching MADtv" in the beginning. It was like seeing an old friend again, and I think I smiled at my TV when I saw it.

This ep wasn't bad ... god an hour goes by quick huh? But there were some good sketches.

Snoop - very funny; love the "non-stop booty parade"

Opening - don't let Bobby open any more shows

NFL - the impressions were all great, as usual

Last Holiday - not funny

QVC - hilarious; Michael was a good co-host, too

Tank - waste of airtime

Dubya - funny; I never get tired of Frank's impression

Marvin Tikkvah - I wish they had done more people!! But it was funny to watch Michael crack up ... I think I'll send in a tape of me tap-dancing

Valetine's Day - funny; I actually enjoyed the hold song!

Cragg - throwing the kid into the fence was hilarious

Close - if you're gonna do a cast closing, do a little more than "thanks and goodnight" - still, nice to see everybody together

I knew everyone would be talking about the "You are now watching MADtv" bit at the very beginning of the episode. It was a flashback to better times. And new graphics, too. The "MADtv World Premiere Music Video" had a new graphic too (in 1112.)

Snoop: New music videos = good. Daniele did it for me. I haven't seen the actual video they parodied, but it was good.

Open: It was going well, until Bobby got in that stupid yellow suit and went "kung-fu" on us.

NFL: Wow, even better graphics here. I could acutally see Arden up close, and the weather graphics looked a lot nicer. Other than that, it was good. Not a lot of annoying Jillian, and much funnier. Makeup/Costuming made them look a lot more like the people in this one too.

Last Holiday: To me, Nicole RJ looked a bit like Queen Latifah. It was good. RJ's good. If she's not in the cast next year, we have a problem.

QVC: Marry me, Nicole. Those horrible outfits were great. Crista always gets the worst of the bunch, but Ike's was pretty bad this time around.

Tank: I still hate him, but he's growing on me. Then there was that other old MAD flashback with Bobby in the Stick Chick hat. I didn't think it was horrible. Maybe it was Arden as a red-head that did it for me.

Dubya: If only we had these instead of those "filler" ones. It was probabbly the best Bush sketch I've seen this season.

Marvin: The girl was suprisingly funny, but that could have easily been planned ahead of time. And like Marvin doesn't know what "blazing" means, we know he smokes pot. Now that we've got another chance, I might enter.

Cragg: I only liked seeing Jim Wise, because I liked him back on Even Stevens. It was a mediocre Cragg, but better than some.

Close: Closes are good. But stay away from Arden, Bobby!

Can someone post a pic of the "new graphics" in the intro? (if/when the torrent becomes available). Is this the first time they've appeared?

The blue doesn't really go with the "modern" look of the credits. Maybe the Season 9 credits, where bright was the look, but we're much darker and greyer now.

That's my only complaint on that part, but if they keep it going and give me that sound clip again, I'm happy.
