Action 5 News: Sorta funny, but it would have been better if they made the credits shorter, and actually showed part of a newscast. 2.5/5
Open: Katie Holmes: Nicole didn't really do a convincing Katie Holmes, and it wasn't really a very funny idea. 2/5 Bae Sung: Monday Night Football: Ees' like frickin sucks, you know? Ees' like it's short, so that good? You know, yes, yes. Ees' like, always good to see Bobby get hurt, you know? 2.5/5 Superstitious Knights: Casino: Not as funny as I remember it. The best part of these sketches is the choreography, and they didn't use it as much as they have in previous sketches. And they're voices are just so annoying. I can't stand it! 2/5 Laguna Biotch: FREAKING HILARIOUS. Kristen perfectly nailed Kristin. And Crista looked so much liked LC. Everyone was just frickin' hilarious, even Ike (shock). I really hope they bring this back, it might be the best sketch of Season 11. The only sketch as good as this so far is Krumpin'. 5/5 Blind Kung Fu Master 2: Not as good as the first. Please don't bring this back, please. 2/5 Lincoln: The one thing that MAD needs to learn from SNL is how to use their guest stars. I know that they probably don'thave the money to get them in more sketches, but a lot of times, they use them in roles that aren't very funny. I think this sketch made a good point, but it was annoying. I haven't liked Michael Rappaport since Friends and Deep Blue Sea. So it was a little bit above average. 3/5 Mid-Season One Word Title Replacements: Here's one- Crappy. 1/5 Shop America: The other good sketch. Nicole and Michael were very convincing in their parts. It went on a little bit long, but it was a good satire. 3.5/5 Steven Cragg: Make A Wish: This so wasn't funny. It's just dumb. Please end them. 2/5 Close: Laguna Biotch: It's even better the second time! "It's like a drama couch or something." Ah, frickin' great! 5/5 Final Score: 30.5/55 or 55.5% Conclusion: This just might have been the worst episode of the season. If it weren't for Laguna Biotch and Shop America, it would have been unwatchable. I think it'll rebound next week, that's what it has been doing lately. One week suck, next week great, one week sucks, next week great. At least that what it seems like. I can't remember who said it, but it is sort of a shame that this wasn't kept for a better episode. I sort of just contradicted myself there, but i don't really care. I hope Bae Sung and Blind Kung Fu Master NEVER come back EVER. I think if they just got a few different writers who knew how to use the talent, this show would improve so much. Someone mentioned seeing Sherry the Stripper in the promo for next week, I only remember seeing Ellen in the preview, and I didn't tape this episode. Can we get confirmation on this, because...

We only got the sherry the stripper and john madden previews....we didnt get the ellen show preview.
also in the lincoln sketch jordan peele played fredrick douglass and daniele played his wife, and they showed her name but i dont remember what it was...... __________________ I would rather sit here and accomplish nothing than accomplish something and be considered an inspiration and a role model simply because I use a wheelchair to get around. |

I'm fairly positive the Ellen DeGenneres and Sherry the Stripper sketches were just clips from the first Sherry the Stripper and the Ellen DeGenneres parody with John Madden from this season. Actually I'm 100% positive. The preview for next week was the John Madden bit with Nicole Parker as a news anchor sitting beside him... so.... no Sherry or Ellen next week

Yeah, this is kind of like the situation when they showed the Britney and Kevin clip right after they aired it to be on next week's Christmas show when it wasn't.

No, I think that was just their attempt at "party sketches": sherry the stripper in a cake and ellen and john dancing....
But yeah, doesn't everyone remember that sherry jumped out of a cake the first sketch? A cake identical to the one from the preview, and she did the same "WOOOOOOO!" thing... yeah, i know... i'm a genius

Stop raggin' on Cragg!
The only things I liked were the opening news-team bit, Laguna, and Stephen Cragg. I've enjoyed ALL of Cragg's pieces on the show, so apparently that makes me a minority here. Does that mean I can apply for a UNCF scholarship, or the right to build Indian casinos in your backyards?

I agree! I actually like Cragg's sketches. Though I must say that this episode's Cragg wasn't the best. Probably my least favorite, but still, I think Steven Cragg's sketches are really good. I love the feel to them, and the way they're cut, and his lines, and how whatever he tries to accomplish never goes the way it's supposed to.
My dad was actually in the Hidden Sex Camera one, haha. You know the guy at the end who Steven gets mad at and blames? When the tape comes on that shows the wife and the two big muscly guys? Hah, that was him. So that one is one of my favorite Cragg sketches, along with the one with Cragg's kid. I hope Cragg's sketches continue, even though I'm one of the few who really likes them. Oh snap!
