I have high hopes for Sean and Inside Looking Out. I'm mild over the Jazzy Girls, but it should have some laughs. The Silver Fox and Stuart, I don't have high hopes for. |

Wow, Doogie Howser, "Jazzed for Crafts," and a Doreen-less "Stuart" sketch in the same ep? Gee willikers, it's just too good to be true. Oh, I just feel sooooooooo spoiled.

I hope the Geisha parody won't be fully based on Asian stereotypes. But knowing Bobby's comedic range, I won't get my hopes up.

Anyways I'm optimistic for this episode. It'll be a while before I get tired of Jazzy Girls, and I like Sean, Inside Looking Out, and what can I say...I'm a sucker for Stuart. __________________ If you are illiterate, you can't read this. ***Winner of Worst Username in the '05 Planet MADtv Awards*** |

I have to say that I enjoyed this episode a lot. Seeing Stephnie was great. There was definitely a lot of Michael (and quite a bit of Nicole, it seemed), but all of the sketches had their funny parts. I especially liked Stephnie in the beginning joking how if she were in charge, Bobby Lee wouldn't be on the show. Rock on, Steph!!

Memoirs of a Geisha - I liked this...I thought it was pretty funny. Ike as an Asian man...HAHA
Open: Neil Patrick Harris - didn't they do something like this before? Anyway, I liked Steph's crack at Bobby. That's about all I liked about it. QVC - This was so awesome. Nicole wrote it. She was hilarious! Everyone else was good too. I hope they do this again, but not too soon. Stuart - eh..It was a tad better than I expected, but still dumb. There was a good line or two. Nicole looked cute in her elf outfit. Sean the Floor Leader - Seems like this is the last one...that's odd. Anyway I didn't like it. Inside Looking Out - This was good, better than the last one I thought. I like how Nicole said she was intimidated by the black microphone. It ended sort of abruptly though. Crafty Gals - I hope they don't do anymore of these for a while. It was ok, but let's spread them out a bit more, eh? Silver Fox - Hands down, worst sketch of the night. I don't see this character growing on me anytime soon. Unfortunately I doubt they'll be cutting this character. Gimme some more Special Patrick! This character...blech. Close: Ike and cast - I like to see them all onstage together. Overall - There were a few bombs, but I'd say it was an ok episode. |

I actually enjoyed this one, granted there were a few bombs but I enjoyed it.
Open: NPH: This has been done before.....Hello?? anyone remember Mo's opening from I think ep 502 or 503.......SAME THING!!!!!!! 1/5. Geisha: hilarious, I laughed a lot.......Bobby was hilarious as was Ike and Nicole.......4/5 QVC: single handedly the funniest sketch of the night. Granted they did something sort of similar to this in 903, but this was still hilarious.....the expressions of arden, crista, nicole and ike were freakin hilarious. I laughed when Nicole rj said "dont worry, i'm not going anywhere in this sweater". and nicole p cracked me up as did daniele....a good one indeed! 5/5 Stuart: not as stupid as the other Mo-less ones, this one got a few chuckles out of me.......but still not good either.... 3/5 Sean the floor leader: meh, it had its moments, but it was stupid overall..1/5 Inside looking Out: this is actually the first one of these I've seen...and.....I didn't like it that much.....I dunno....it just didn't really do anything for me.......2/5 Crafty Gals: the only thing worth mentioning was the wedgie crista gave arden........hawtness indeed......otherwise, they need to take a break from these.....they're starting to get dumb. 1/5 Silver Fox: This was so not funny....at least not until the end when ike convinced mike that he was the mayor of the us....that was kinda funny.......1/5 Close: Ike and Cast: I love it when EVERYONE including features is on the stage......I noticed that there was like........no keegan in this entire ep.......or i missed something?????? __________________ I would rather sit here and accomplish nothing than accomplish something and be considered an inspiration and a role model simply because I use a wheelchair to get around. |

After missing 1107-1108, I decided to stick around for this one, and it was actually good. Granted it wasn't fantastic but it definitely looks like this season is taking a turn for the better.
Memoirs of a Geisha: About time Ike played an Asian person, that's all I gotta say. Oh yeah, it was pretty good too. Bobby isn't bad when it comes to basic Asian humor (Bae Sung notwithstanding). 3/5 Open: Neil Patrick Harris: See episode #502's opening. It was only sort of funny then, now it's just stupid. 1.5/5 QVC: This is probably one of the best things I've seen this season, almost everyone was fantastic here. Good job Nicole P. Of course knowing this season we'll probably see this character again three episodes later... 4.5/5 Stuart visits Santa: Normally Stuart without Doreen is a recipe for disaster, but I have to say, I enjoyed this, even if it was a little stupid. I'll probably shoot myself if I see another Stuart this season, though. 3/5 Sean the Floor Leader: I'm a bit disappointed here, since Sean is one of my favorite characters still on. Of course it wasn't terrible, but not nearly as good as Season 9 Sean. 2.5/5 Inside Looking Out: As usual, this lasted way too long, and aside from a few funny bits from Nicole P, this pretty much sucked. 1.5/5 Jazzed for Crafts: Rodeo: COME ON! Does MAD really insist on shoving unfunny characters in our throats every two episodes? At least the wedgie scene justifies a half point. 1.5/5 Silver Fox Holiday Edition: This was decent, of course it's no 7 A.M. Condo Report, but this will still do. I have to say, I like Mike's character Izidore, and Ike was actually OK here, surprisingly. 3/5 Close: Ike and Cast: I'm glad to see them return to their roots and have the cast close the episode. Definitely better than the stupid sketch extension closings. This was the best ep of the season by far. This season is really starting to remind me of Season 7, with a few good eps, mostly bad ones, and a bad tendency to overuse characters/impressions that aren't funny. Even with bad sketches like ILO and Jazzed for Crafts, the good outweighed the bad here. 7/10 __________________ I've gone minimalist now |

Sadly after watching the first sketch, I flip the channel to watch a retrospective on the cult British Tv series "Faulty Towers" which sadly was more interesting than MADtv this season.
