Lillian Verner without Paul? That should be interesting. Hey--maybe now, they won't suck. *whisper in ear* Wait, what? Oh, they'll still suck? Oh. All right. Damn me and my wishful thinking.

No more Ike and Bobby, please! Red Carpets have never been the same. Nicole and Bobby at the Emmys was good, though. An improvement from past ones, learn MAD, learn.
As much as I want to see Nicole P as Fergie, I think we'll see Arden. Once again, I see MAD taking advantage of her bigger "talent." And by talent I mean boobs, of course. Not that I'm complaining. |

I can see either Nicole P or Arden as Fergiesakj (whatever her name is). I hope this is funny.
For the love of god, no more ike and bobby.... ![]() __________________ |

Man, what's the deal with breakin' bad on da fellaz this season? (I'm referring to this thread as well as others.) I'll grant you that Ike has been quite disappointing lately, but damn, at least give him the one thing he can be counted on to do halfway decently (i.e., the Red Carpet). And Bobby's still got it goin' on, now. In fact, thanks in large part to the "24" parodies, which finally give him a chance to do something besides the usual Asian humor, he's arguably a better cast member than ever. And ya bettah not say nuttin' 'bout mah Tank, or I'll bust a cap, bee-yotch.
![]() ![]() ![]() As for Arden...sorry, but I just don't get what all the excitement is about. Except for maybe the "Taradise" sketch, I don't think I've laughed even once at her. (Even there, I'm stretching--and I don't mean that I'm touching my toes. ![]() ![]() Glad to see that Steph is "returning" for Lillian Verner: Gail Cinders is a good role for her. It ain't quite Mrs. Campbell, but I'll watch Gail over Dot any day of the week. In fact, I'll watch Crazy as Hell over....O.K., well, let's not get carried away. ![]() I normally don't comment on the eps anymore, but I felt the need to spill for a minute. Speaking of spilling, ![]() ![]() ![]() I just know that someone's going to quote that last paragraph and post one of these babies: ![]() ![]() __________________ "Charles Nelson Reilly is a bad mutha...." I love the music video parodies, but I have a feeling this one won't be particularly good. I hate to sound like Mizzimad here, but the target seems to easy. If it's only about Fergie's boobs (what else could it be about?), how can it be any different to the original craptastic song and video? Either way, I think Arden will play Fergie. No idea who will play the 2nd black guy though, probably one of the girls.
Speaking of music videos, I've been impressed with them so far this season. 4 in 8 episodes is great, and both the Jessica Simpson parody and "Trapped in the Cupboard" were top notch in my opinion. The Coldplay one was mediocre, but last years attempts were pretty feeble even by comparison to the weak Coldplay parody. As much as I admire and miss Paul Vogt, I can't wait for the Lillian Verner sketch. Jeff Garlin is brilliant and hilarious ... which probably means he will be panned by every member other than myself (and funny_guy). And finally ... NO MORE ON THE DOWNLOAD. __________________ What happened to Andrae? ![]() |

I don't know, Kurt. That comment about the video parody seemed a little too Mizzimad for my taste.

my humps my humps my humps my humps......
I was expecting this sooner or later. I'm excited, this could be very good, or bad. My bet is good. Kinda scared about Lillian Verner though because it needs Paul. __________________ We All Go A Little MAD Sometimes... Voted The Nicest forum Member In The Third Annual PlanetMadTV Awards

I usually like music parodies, many of the previous ones have been great. I only have problems with them if they change too much. But that's understandable, because they don't want to be sued and all that, but the Coldplay one was changed so much that I couldn't even link the parody to Speed of Sound.
From last week's preview, the new Lillian doesn't look too good. It showed all the contestants rolling around on Segway-esque scooters. Although it was only three seconds of a clip, I don't have high hopes for this one. Hopefully Simian will come out with some thing to make me laugh. |

I liked the Humps parody (Frank's head-spinning at the end was priceless), the Sesame Street parody, and the Lilian Verner Game Show was OK, but certainly lacking w/o Paul, and it was pretty short. Great to see Steph, though
![]() Ike & Bobby at the Red Carpet was horrible, as was the final sketch w/ Keegan-Michael Key & Jeff Garlin. And I've never really liked Mofaz (though I love hearing him say 'allllways' and 'hella hella.' :-P ) The moving studio audience thing was kinda funny, but seemed like a cheap way to use up a bunch of celebrity impressions. (I didn't like Nicole's Oprah, but I don't think anybody can stand up to Debra's.) Also, I wish they did more stuff w/ the closings instead of just "Thanks for watching, goodnight." Bloopers, maybe, or something ... Overall, a good episode. ![]() |

It was an ok episode I guess. I won't post a full review until I know the names of all the sketches.

I figured Nicole would play Fergie since Nicole has the singing talent (which is 100 times better than Fergie's "talent" by the way). The parody was dumb though. Sticking George Bush in there, how lame. The audience sketch was clever. I thought Nicole RJ's Oprah was pretty good...not Debra good but good nonetheless. I knew she would play Oprah sooner or later. Ike and Bobby at the Billboard Awards was lame...EEEE they interviewed Carrie Underwood, lucky asses ![]() The Britney/Kevin thing wasn't great. I liked the hot dog part though. Nicole and Ike wrote it. Sorry, but I don't like Nicole's Britney all that much. Yes it's better than Nicole Sullivan's but it's still not that good. More Ashlee or Jessica please! That restaurant sketch was ok. Frank Caliendo as the perverted uncle was hilarious as was Crista's Grandma. Lillian Verner...damn I missed the first half. Oh well. Simian and Gale were good. Other than that, notsomuch. The Keegan/Jeff Garlin bit was good. Keegan was really funny. Tow Truck Man - ehh...the monkey was cute. That was a funny idea, but the sketch just fell flat, sadly...this is one of Mike's better characters in my opinion. Well that's all I remember. Overall it was just ok. Silver Fox next week ![]() |
