I'm wondering if the show will have a new theme, There's a good chance they will new graphics though.

Man, 3 of those sketches don't look so promising. I could be totally wrong though. I dont think the TV and Movie parodies will by funny. What happened to the good ole days when the season premire and finales consisted of a bunch of their characters. I wanna see Bae Sung. I hope some of the old castmemebers will guest star like last season. But with new faces of course. It would be great to see Nicole, Will, Mo, and Alex again...and Debra. OMG AND ARIES SPEARS!!! But some past castmembers that haven't guest starred would be awesome too. I hope they use a new opening too. I wont be dissappointed if they didn't. It's not like that effects the comedy of the show, but it would just be cool to see some new stuff. And please...atleast 25 episodes this season.

According to the commercial, it looks like they're doing a Wedding Crashers parody with (I kid you not) Bobby as Kim Jong-Il and Ike as Fidel Castro. I don't know how that fits in with Fox's site saying that Ike was going to be Vince Vaughn, but I know that those blurbs on the site have been way off sometimes in the past. Also, it looks like the Jessica Simpson video parody is going to be more of a general "bad summer movies" parody (kind of like that Eminem sketch they did a few years ago about TV shows). Steph is playing Nicole Kidman from Bewitched, and Crista's Lindsay Lohan from Herbie: Fully Loaded. If anyone wants to put all this information into a more readable format, be my guest.

I am disappointed with madtv.com though. It has not been updated at all for the new season. You'd think there would be a new cast picture and everything up by now. It's quite ridiculous. And the informer didn't even release any new news over the summer, although we did get the Smoking Too Much Pot video in the informer, which is so popular?
Anyways, I am really excited about the new regulars, especially Arden. I've seen some of the other things she's done, so I have some pretty high expectations for her.

Oh, gee, yet another video parody to introduce a new season of "MADtv." I like Nicole Parker, but I've never been much of a fan of her video parodies. I don't fault her performances so much as the fact that the targets of the jokes are always so obvious and bland. Jessica Simpson--oh, yeah, that's going out on a limb. I'm not picking on just Nicole here, though; frankly, I feel the same way about nearly all of the show's video parodies from Season 10. (Yes, I'm an equal-opportunity slanderer.)

That concern aside, I'm trying to remain optimistic about the season opener. I hope that there are some well-written one-off sketches planned because the Season 10 opener--which, as I recall, had no such sketches--was the show's worst lead-off ep EVER. Fortunately, Season 10 got better as it progressed; in fact, Ep. 1002 was a noticeable improvement over 1001. Therefore, even if Season 11 doesn't get off to the best of starts, then I won't immediately give up. You know, there's that whole baby/bathwater thing...one bad apple...if at first you don't succeed...one foot in front of the other...[fill in the cliche ].

I suppose that it wouldn't do any good to mention that I will miss Aries this season; in short, you're not alone, Potty. Well, okay, you might be alone in other regards for all I know, but...aw, hell, you know what I mean.

Tee hee, I was kidding about missing Aries. He was cool on the show and all, made me laugh a lot, but I wont hang myself because he's not there anymore. And on the brightside. Yeah, even though Aries got a bit stale toward the end, I still think he's an awesome talent, even though he thinks so. (I'll give that last statement a minute to sink in.) Still, I wasn't suggesting that you'd dive off a cliff b/c he's gone, just that you're one of the few others around here besides me who don't wish that he'd dive off a cliff. But, yeah, the show must go on...somehow.

Nicole Parker has been in 3 music videos, 2 of them were great in my opinion, ("Me Against Madonna", my favourite, and "Since We Were On," which was pretty funny) and one which was bad, "My Prerogative". Anyway, since this video is going to be about movies in general, I don't think it matters that its a Jessica Simpson video that is being parodied.

I find it odd that there is no guest star listed for the premiere. I actually think it will be cool if there isn't one. I'd much prefer the premiere to be focused on the cast, although not having a guest star seems really odd. Oh well, I can't wait to see this episode when it airs here in August 2006!

Admittedly, I could be wrong here--it's happened once before, I think--but wouldn't Nicole's parody of that Celine Dion song "I Drove All Night" count as a video parody as well, or is it considered more of an all-out sketch? I'll let the expert on the "other" Nicole respond.

Nah I was being sarcastic. I don't know when the new season will air here, sometime soon I hope. That Celine Dion sketch was a parody of a Chrysler commercial (not that I've seen it)

There's going to be a Mrs. Campbell sketch, too with Crista, w00.
And it looks like the opening credits will be the exact same. The clip they rolled before the sketch was an overview of the city and the big MADtv logo, which is what the intro and stuff have looked like for the last 3 years.
