I had it listed as "Hollywood", but it's actually "Holly". Can anyone tell me if I made any mistakes here...

The Boob Whisperer: This was pretty funny. Arden was a crack-up and Danielle was good in her supporting part. I actually think it would have been better with less focus on the boobs. 4/5
Open: Kung Kung: Stupid Bobby Lee openings! I really didn't like this sketch at all. It was one-note, and just pretty stupid. 1.5/5 Only Vegas #1: Buffet: I thought that this was a really funny sketch. I was laughing pretty hard during this sketch. The macaroni bit was hilarious. 4.5/5 FOX NFL Sunday: The Flexbone: I don't like these much, and I really hope that they don't have more of these. It's just another sketch about Arden's boobs. Yipee. 2/5 Only Vegas #2: "A New Day" Starring Celine Dion: Definitely not as funny as the first, but at least it was short. 2.5/5 Dot's School Play "America's First Thanksgiving": Dot! This was very funny, but not the best Dot sketch ever. Her corn jokes were very funny. Hopefully this isn't the last Dot; like I said, it wasn't the greatest Dot, and I'd like to this character end on a high note. 3.5/5 Camp Winnetonka: This was Nicole RJ's best sketch yet. I thought this was creative, and I was laughing the whole time. I liked the way she did the dialogue. Nicole P was good as the lesbian counselor. "Those were some hot-ass showers" had me cracking up. 4/5 Juvenile Hall Break: So far, this season's Tank sketches have been very funny. I liked that it was short and they started to change up the premise. Kenneth was funny, as always. 3.5/5 Voyage of the Sailship Mayflower: This seems like a really pointless sketch. 2/5 Holly Meadow Estates Crime Watch Meeting: Holiday Edition: They definitely recurred this sketch too soon. It seemed to me exactly the same as the last one, just with a few character switches. I don't really find Titus too hilarious either. All-in-all, the sketch had it's moments. 2.5/5 Lorenz: Kid-Aid: This wouldn't have been very funny if it weren't for Jordan's facial expressions. It was okay, but will get very annoying if recurred. Not too bad though. 2.5/5 MADtv's on/tHe/DoWnLoaD 3.0: Enough with these already! They're not funny! I watch Mad for original sketches, the occasional encore sketch and musical presentation, not THIS! I hope they stop with these soon. Right now it's tolerable, and the stop sign thing was okay, but soon they'll become unbelievable pieces of mucho crap. 2.5/5 Close: FOX NFL Sunday: The Flexbone: I wish they had closed with the cast, or at least with out-takes from another sketch. Although, I did actually find this funnier than the actual sketch. , so it was okay. 3/5 High Point: Only Vegas #1: Buffet Low Point: Open: Kung Kung Recap: I definitely think that MAD has been improving a lot since the premeire. It still has some very "iffy" sketches, but there are more laugh-out-loud ones. They're giving good doses of some funny recurring characters (Dot, Tank) but also recurring some things that don't need to be (Crime Watch, FOX Football, On the Download). The previews for next week don't have me too excited; I didn't like the last 24 with Bobby Lee. And this week what was with all the Arden? It seemed like she was in every sketch. She seems funny, but it was kind of overkill. Hopefully next week we'll get more of the Nicole's and of Crista. Anyways, I'm glad that it's getting better. The Boob Whisperer: Kinda funny, they should've ended it after Crista's line. Frank Caliendo as the Jewish father was funny, glad to see him in a non-impression role for once.
Open: I don't remember any of this. Oh wait, it's coming back to me, didn't they just keep playing the L&O sound effect after everything Meloni said? Yeah, pretty stupid. Only Vegas #1: Buffet: I think this would've been funnier if they just ended it, w/out making it a Vegas commercial. Then it just would've been really random and we'd all be like "WTF wuz dat shiznit!" but I guess they had to find an ending to it. This was probably the first time I found Ike funny this season. FOX NFL Sunday: Why on earth did they make this recurring? It was only sorta funny the first time, this time it's just stupid. And Frank's Terry Bradshaw isn't even close to accurate, he sounds more like he's doing a Chris Rock impression. Camp Winnetonka: The new Nicole seems pretty funny, I'd like to see more from her, but I'm already starting to get the feeling she's gonna be gone before the season even ends. I'm probably wrong though, I hope so. I hate when they don't give new cast a chance. Juvenile Hall Break: Glad to see them doing something different with this, but it still wasn't anything too great. Shatner: Impression was kinda funny, that's about it. He did look way too much like GWB, it was kinda distracting. Crime Watch Meeting: Another sketch that seems kinda weird to make recurring. Lorenz: I don't know why, but I couldn't stop laughing at this. I don't know why, it was totally predictable and I knew what was gonna happen, but I still found it funny. The faces he made whenever he was playing especially cracked me up. MADtv's on/tHe/DoWnLoaD 3.0: Wow, these are so bad. I hope they don't keep doing them the rest of the season. Close: FOX NFL Sunday: I agree with the other guy that this was funnier than the actual sketch. Beating up the Keegan dummy was cracking me up, and Frank Caeti tackling the dummy was awesome, he's really proven to be great at physical stuff in the last few episodes. |

well I don't feel like doing my usual full reveiws of all the sketches so I'm just going to do this:
The Good: Dot's School Play "America's First Thanksgiving" Camp Winnetonka Only Vegas #1: Buffet The Ok: The Boob Whisperer Open Juvenile Hall Break Holly Meadow Estates Crime Watch Meeting Lorenz: Kid-Aid The Bad: MADtv's on/tHe/DoWnLoaD 3.0 FOX NFL Sunday Close: FOX NFL Sunday The ones I missed or just didn't understand: Voyage of the Sailship Mayflower Only Vegas #2: "A New Day" Starring Celine Dion All I have to say Is why are they recurring so many sketches right after another, like the on/the/download... come on these arent funny... they are just boring. And I think that they are really over useing Arden, I'm starting to get annoyed by her. I would like to see more Crista, Nicole P., Nicole R. (she was really funny in the camping sketch... I wanna see more of her), Keegan, and of course I would like to see a little more Stephnie but I dont think thats gonna happen. __________________ ![]() ![]() ROCK MY SOX OFF !!! [*]Boob Whisperer: My God Arden was SOOOO HOT in that sketch but still nevertheless Nicole P. is a better impressionist and most likely would done a better job.
[*]Open: Kung Kung: Fart jokes!! Not funny at all [*]Only Vegas #1: Buffet: gross way too gross, kinda funny [*]FOX NFL Sunday: The Flexbone: Again, Arden is hot but the concept is stupid and the impressions are bad, and its way too long. [*]Only Vegas #2: "A New Day" Starring Celine Dion: What the hell was that? Most pointless sketch ever [*]Dot's School Play "America's First Thanksgiving": Dot is so funny, but knowing that this may be Dot's last sketch made it very hard to watch [*]Camp Winnetonka: I did not see much of this sketch [*]Juvenile Hall Break: Funny, best Tank sketch. [*]Voyage of the Sailship Mayflower: Didn't see [*]Holly Meadow Estates Crime Watch Meeting: Holiday Edition: O.K. I guess. Too bad the lead role was a guest star. [*]Lorenz: Kid-Aid: Funny, should be recurred [*]MADtv's on/tHe/DoWnLoaD 3.0: PLEASE KILL ON THE DOWNLOAD NOW!!!!!!!! IT SUCKS!!!!!! cuss: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ghost Whisperer: I thought Arden nailed alot of JLH's mannerisms but I think they could've taken this sketch in a better direction. Boob jokes are cheap laughs. Nonetheless, this was good.
Open with Bobby and Meloni: I hate seeing Bobby doing the show openings. He always does a poor job. Not funny. 1st Only Vegas: This was disgusting. The thought of a bread roll going down the front of Ike Barinholtz' shorts almost made me physically ill. NFL Sunday: I think Arden is kind of funny in these, and sadly thats all the sketch has going for it. 2nd Only Vegas: Decent. Dot Thanksgiving: This was good. Sad that it could possibly be the last Dot sketch ever. Liked the corn jokes. Nicole RJ Camping: This was pretty funny. Juvinele Hall Break: Not bad, but not particularly great. Bobby going down the toilet at the end was pretty fitting. William Shatner: I tuned out when this came on. Holly Meadow Estate Crime Watch Committee: Pretty much a carbon copy of the much funnier first installment. I like Arden's character, but hate the rest of them. Especially Titus Ballcist or whatever. Lorenz: This was ok, but not particularly funny. There were a few good moments, like Lorenz climbing under Michael's legs, but overall it felt too forced. On the Download: I thought this was funny. The guy running into the stop sign was the only thing in this episode that made me laugh out loud the whole episode, and Ike's talk of "googling himself" at the beginning was funny. Close: Sure. __________________ What happened to Andrae? ![]() |

Boob Whisperer: Hmm, I liked this. Granted it wasn't amazing, but it was better then most of the stuff we got in this time period of MAD. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Open: Christopher Meloni: Lame guest star pimp-age. Next. ![]() Only Vegas #1-#2: These were pure gross-out humor. Sometimes they were funny, but most of the time they fell flat. Overall, not great, but not awful. ![]() ![]() ![]() FOX NFL Sunday: Wasn't funny the first time, wasn't funny the second time. ![]() Dot's School Play "America's First Thanksgiving": Definitley not the best Dot sketch, but still pretty good. I wish they would have given Dot a more proper ending, though (see: Lorraine's last sketch). Still, a good sketch. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Camp Winnetonka: Best sketch of the night, hands down. This was hilarious in every way. Nicole was great as the lesbian as well as everyone else (especially NRJ). A 5-star sketch (VERY rare for this time period of MAD). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tank: Juvenile Hall Break: Meh, i'm glad they switched the format of Tank up a little bit for this one, but it still wasn't very funny. ![]() ![]() ![]() Voyage of the Sailship Mayflower: What...was supposed to be funny here? This was painful to watch. ![]() Holly Meadow Estates Crime Watch Meeting: Holiday Edition: I liked this a lot. It wasn't roll-on-the-floor funny, but it was still a pretty funny sketch, and I wish they recurred these more then they did. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lorenz: Kid-Aid: Lorenz could have shaped up to be a great character, but this sketch was still just ok. Got old pretty fast. Not bad overall. ![]() ![]() ![]() MADtv's on/tHe/DoWnLoaD 3.0: Uhh...well, this was better then any other OTD, but it still sucked a lot ![]() ![]() ![]() Close: FOX NFL Sunday: Cast closings > closings of unfunny sketches. I'll take closings of funny sketches (ala Laguna Biotch closing in 1110 and Sesame Street: Myspace Molestor in 1204) but this was a bad sketch to begin with. They should have continued Camp Winnetoka or Dot or Lorenz if they needed to use a sketch closing. ![]() Overall: A very up and down episode. The fact that this episode had one five-star sketch and 3 four-star sketches makes it better then the ones surronding it, but that's not saying much at all, is it? There was some great stuff here (Camp Winnetoka, Dot, Boob Whisperer, Crime Watch) but more of it was just horiffic (FOX NFL Sunday, On the Download, Mayflower sketch, the open) or mediocre (Tank, Only Vegas). Nicole Parker was barely anywhere to be seen (which always make an episode worse) and overall I thought this episode was nothing special and actually painful at times. ![]() ![]() __________________ :doctor: Last edited by Rurry; 03/25/2007 at 9:55 AM. |
