Post Episode S12E21 (Aired 2007-05-05)

Cinco de Mayo Celebration
Crista Flanagan and Jordan Peele are on stage, clearly drunk as they are celebrating Cinco de Mayo a little too hard wearing sombreros. The celebrations have spread throughout the cast and crew as Arden Myrin is off stage making out with one of the camera men. As they celebrate, a voice is heard from the audience bleachers. It is Jorge (Keegan-Michael Key) who has now taken the job as security guard for the MADtv stage. Jorge is discussed by the attitude the cast and crew are showing towards Cinco de Mayo, which is to commemorate the lives of the brave soldiers who fought for Mexico against the French, which America has ruined by turning it into an excuse to get drunk and have sex. When Arden asks how they would celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Mexico, Jorge says that if they were in Mexico, Jordan and himself would wrestle naked on avocados until it became guacamole for the whole town to eat. Ike Barinholtz and Bobby Lee then come in with Bobby riding a donkey statue. Jorge takes a spork and stabs Ike with it. He then turns to the camera and tells everyone to respect Cinco de Mayo, but a sombrero, moustache, and bullet vest is drawn over him, mooting his point.

Survivor: Holy War #1
After pushing the social envelope by splitting the teams up by race, Survivor has gone farther by splitting the teams up by their religion. The teams are the Jews team Moses, Christians team Jesus, Muslims team Mohammed, and team Scientologists Tom Cruise (Crista Flanagan) and his far out space nuts.

Credits: Michael McDonald (Jeff Probst), Lisa Donovan (Barbara), Ike Barinholtz (Jewish Father), Nicole Randall Johnson (Christian Woman), Frank Caeti (Christian Man), Keegan-Michael Key (Muslim Man), Crista Flanagan (Tom Cruise)

Survivor: Holy War #2
The first challenge for the survivors is to find a source of fresh water. The Jews are heating the water and collecting the condensation, the Muslims have just stuffed a coconut with explosives, Tom Cruise and the Scientologists are just drinking the water as is, as they have brainwashed themselves into doing it, and the Christians are collecting money from a telethon to do it.

Credits: Michael McDonald (Jeff Probst), Lisa Donovan (Barbara), Ike Barinholtz (Jewish Father), Keegan-Michael Key (Muslim Man), Crista Flanagan (Tom Cruise), Nicole Randall Johnson (Christian Woman), Frank Caeti (Christian Man)

Seasonalis
A woman (Crista Flanagan) is taking a new pill called Seasonalis. The pill allows her to only have her period once every 4 months, instead of every month. Her husband (Frank Caeti) is excited to hear about this and tackles her to the ground passionately. In take 2 of the message she is clearly frazzled with her makeup smeared, when her husband comes calling again. She does not want to do it again because she is trying to do the commercial. In take 3 she is even more frazzled, and can't get a word out before her husband sacks her. While the side effects are being explained, she is running around the living room, trying to escape her husband’s lust.

Credits: Crista Flanagan (Wife), Frank Caeti (Husband)

Scrubs
J.D (Frank Caeti) is walking down the hospital hallway but is fantasizing about him being chased by a gorilla on a tricycle. A type of fantasy that will be seen frequently throughout the episode. He is approached by Dr. Cox (Ike Barinholtz) who shows his disdain for him. Dr. Cox then calls everyone because a patient Joyce Michaels (Nicole Randall Johnson) is a dear friend of his and he wants her well taken care of. It is then discovered that everyone has a connection with her except Turk (Jordan Peele). Within just finding out that, she is announced dead. J.D thinks they probably could have saved her if they weren't too busy with flashbacks, and fantasies. J.D. is then chased down the hallway by little aliens.

Credits: Frank Caeti (Zach Braff: John "J.D" Dorian), Jordan Peele (Donald Faison: Christopher Turk), Ike Barinholtz (John C. McGinley: Parry Cox), Nicole Parker (Sarah Chalke: Elliot Reid), Crista Flanagan (Judy Reyes: Carla Turk), Nicole Randall Johnson (Joyce Michaels)

Jordan Ultimate Fighter #1
Bobby Lee and Jordan Peele come on stage and Bobby tells the audience that they are fans of Ultimate Fighting. Jordan disagrees as he feels that he is an Ultimate Fighter more than a fan because he has training. They are on stage because they filmed a commercial with Ultimate Fighting champion Tido Ortiz for Big Man Deodorant. In the commercial Tido promotes the product and then kicks a mat that Jordan is holding. In take 1 Jordan starts gushing blood from his mouth after the kick. The same thing happens in take 2. For take 3 Tido wants to take it slow. Bobby disagrees with the decision but Jordan strongly agrees. In take 3 Tido gives the mat a slight tap, but Jordan gushes blood worse than ever with it now coming out of his ears. For the next take Jordan wants to switch with Bobby, and see if he can take it. They film it again. Bobby takes the hit with no pain, but Jordan still gushes blood causing Tido to walk off the set.

Credits: Bobby Lee (Himself), Jordan Peele (Himself), Tido Ortiz (Himself)

Larry King Reviews "House M.D."
As reviews from newspapers, and television shows give House great reviews Larry King gives odd and off-topic comments like the show should be named King because it's based after him, and how he wants to see all the women on the show going to the bathroom.

Archival Footage: Jordan Peele (Omar Epps: Eric Foreman), Frank Caeti (Patiant), Michael McDonald: (Hugh Laurie: Gregory House), Ike Barinholtz (Jesse Spencer: Robert Chase), Arden Myrin (Doctor), Nicole Parker (Lisa Edelstein: Lisa Cuddy)

Election '08 Here We Come
An Obama supporter (Jordan Peele), and a Hillary supporter (Lisa Donovan) argue over who is better to lead the Democrats. The Obama supporter makes claims like Obama has as much experience as Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy and how at least Obama didn't vote for the war in Iraq, while the Hillary supporter makes claims like at least Hillary didn't do drugs and write a book about it. Listening in on the conversation is a Rudy Guliani supporter (Ben Donovan) who loves the argument as Rudy leads. He then tells them to call him when they need a hero.

Credits: Jordan Peele (Barack Obama Supporter) Lisa Donovan (Hillary Clinton Supporter), Ben Donovan (Rudy Guilani Supporter)

Survivor: Holy War #3
It's all out war between the religions with the Jews and Muslims fighting each other after a rough tribal council, the Christians just running around protesting gay marriage, and Tom Cruise being beamed up as it turns out that he, and his far out space nuts were right.

Credits: Michael McDonald (Jeff Probst), Ike Barinholtz (Jewish Man), Lisa Donovan (Barbara), Keegan-Michael Key (Muslim Man) Nicole Randall Johnson (Christian Woman), Frank Caeti (Christian Man), Crista Flanagan (Tom Cruise)

Tank: NASCAR
Tank (Bobby Lee) goes to the California Motor speedway to pick up some women. Two fly girls (Lisa Donovan and Nicole Randall Johnson) come by and Tank hits on them. Tank wants them to come watch the race in his car, which has a flat screen in the dash board. He then says that he has a camera is Dale Earnhardt Jr. car and wonders if the girls want to come in, watch, and make a Tank sandwich, with him playing the meat. When they go to the back of the car to get some smoked meat, which is just Tank's brother Kenneth (Kenneth Lee) cooking it, Carl Edwards comes up behind them and offers the ladies a spot to watch the race with his pit crew. Cornelius and Tank move to the front seats to watch the race and Tank is overjoyed when the announcers talk about him unfavourably in the broadcast.

Credits: Bobby Lee (Cornelius: Tank), Lisa Donovan (NASCAR fan #1), Nicole Randall Johnson (NASCAR fan #2), Kenneth Lee (Kenneth), Carl Edwards (Himself)

The Best Mom Ever
Celebrities talk about who they think is the best mom ever on VH1's Best Mom Ever. Kristin Cavallari (Nicole Parker) ties between Britney Spears and Madonna, Montel Williams (Jordan Peele) who votes for mother earth, George Takai (Bobby Lee) who votes for his own mother, Tara Reid (Arden Myrin) votes for herself, and Andy Dick (Ike Barinholtz) says he doesn't even have a mother.

Credits: Nicole Parker (Kristin Cavallari), Jordan Peele (Montel Williams), Bobby Lee (George Takai), Arden Myrin (Tara Reid), Ike Barinholtz (Andy Dick)

Remediation
Britney Spears (Nicole Parker), and Kevin Federline (Ike Barinholtz) get together with there lawyers (Crista Flanagan Britney's lawyer, and Keegan-Michael Key Kevin's lawyer) to discuss the terms of their divorce. They are both surprised that each other is going to be there. Kevin is finding Britney hot because she is wearing his favourite outfit little miss slut whore. The biggest argument is between who gets custody of the kids. The problem with the trial is that Kevin and Britney just can't seem to let go of the fact that the talk is being recorded for archival purposes, and can't stop fooling around with the camera. Kevin and Britney also seem to have the attention span of a 5 year old, as bubble wrap and any minor event causes them to create songs about it. When Britney's lawyer thinks that Britney deserves the kids without a doubt, Kevin gets mad and makes an emotional speech that is so moving it makes Britney swallow her gum.

Credits: Crista Flanagan (Britney Spears's Lawyer), Nicole Parker (Britney Spears), Keegan-Michael Key (Kevin Federline’s Lawyer), Ike Barinholtz (Kevin Federline)

Who'd a Thunk: Mushrooms
Merlin Pebsworth (Frank Caeti) talks about mushrooms, but warns you to not to take some "mushrooms" unless you have at least 8 hours to mellow out or else you might do something like go to your sister’s wedding, imagine the mother in law is a demon with an eye on her head, and end up beating her with the crusaphics. Merlin then ring tails a weasel and rides it away reminding everyone to keep sciencing.

Credits: Frank Caeti (Merlin Pebsworth), Jordan Peele (Merlin's Life Partner)

Sissy Felony Jackson
Nicole Parker introduces a rapper named Sissy Felony Jackson (Nicole Randall Johnson), who sings to do very explicit music. Nicole looks on in horror as she dances with 2 scan fully clad women, and 2 children on stage which turn out to be her kids. Nicole goes on stage halfway through the performance with robes to cover up the models in the back as the kids dance ubicuously.

Credits: Nicole Parker (Herself), Nicole Randall Johnson (Sissy Felony Jackson), Sandy Colton (Hoochie Mama #1)

Jordan Ultimate Fighter #2
Bobby calls for an ambulance and pronounces Jordan dead. Jordan disagrees as he feels he still has a little more blood to lose.

Credits: Bobby Lee (Himself), Jordan Peele (Himself)

Tank is returning, too.

At least the rest of the ep sounds good. Can't wait for the Scrubs parody.

Ooh, Tank's back. Yeeeeeeeeeeeah, bitches, time to rawwwwwwwwwk!

"MADtv" can't do a "Scrubs" parody. What's the point now of doing my own parody as a fansub (which--mark my words--I would have finished in another fifty years)? Those bastards are stealing all of my ideas!

Considering this is Lisa's last appearnce of the season, it's a safe bet that the show will air the sketch that was shot in her apartment with Jordan.

Tank........maybe this will be the last Tank ever if Bobby's show gets picked up.

I'm sad Lisa wont be in the season finale. I really hope they sign her back up.

I'm actually excited for the Brittany/K Fed sketch.

I'm going to England on Wen. Does MAdTV Air there?

A Scrubs parody? What the hell?

And Tank isn't so bad, considering this is the first time we've seen him all season. I'm really liking how they're doing that, too, to prevent characters from being overused.

Open: Taco Hell - Cinco De Mayo: Crista and Jordan open the show, drunk, talking about how great Cinco De Mayo is. However, Jorge(?) (Keegan) then comes and talks about the real importance of Cinco De Mayo. I'm calling him this because...I forgot his real name. Anyway, this was good. It was surprising to see him back considering he hasn't appeared since Season 10, right? This was pretty funny, for the most part, not hilarious, but good. It was funny how he kept calling Arden "Blonde skinny whore" or whatever. Kind of a throwback to Season 4/5 when a character would often open the show.

Survivor: Holy War #1-3: Jeff Probst (Michael) reveals the new season of survivor: Holy War. In this version of Survivor, Christians (Nicole RJ, Frank), Jews (Lisa, Ike), Muslims (Keegan) and "Tom Cruise and his Far Out Space Nuts" (Crista as Tom Cruise) competing against each other. These were pretty good, as well, although not as good as the Cook Islands ones. Crista's Tom Cruise obviously wasn't very accurate, but it was still funny nonetheless. For me the funniest part was Team Jesus. "Look at this blind man.." *puts hand over eyes* "HE'S SAVED! PRAISE THE LORD!" *Nicole RJ plays the piano*. LOL.

Commerical: Seasonalis: A woman (Crista) is giving a commercial for a pill where your period comes every 4 months instead of every 28 days. However, she interrupted because when her husband (Frank) hears about the pill and what it does, he keeps invading the commercial to have sex with her. This was really funny, with great performance from Frank. It was nice to see him get a lot of airtime. Crista was good here, too.

Scrubs: In a parody of Scrubs, JD (Frank) talks about his daily life, which includes flashbacks, fantasies, dancing gorillas, bad jokes, and aliens. This was a pretty solid parody from what I've seen of Scrubs. I'm sure the leigions of Zach Braff fans will go "omgz whyd they get dat fat guy to play him zach is lik sooo cute and not fat omgz!". Anyway, I liked this, especially "NBC Comedy Night done right...except for Scrubs!" and the ending with the indie rock band.

Jordan and Bobby: Deoderant Commercial: Tito Ortiz shoots a deoderant commercial with Bobby and Jordan, but whenever Tito punches Jordan, he bleeds excessively. A pretty one-joke sketch, and not really anything special, but it was ok. Tito Oriz was pretty awful in this, but at least Jordan and Bobby gave good performances to save it. Besides Tank, though, probably the worst sketch of the night.

Larry King Discusses House: Larry King says crude comments while reviewing House. This was pretty funny, and I...oh god, I'm going to get murdered for this more then mizzimad does for liking Bae Sung...like these sketches. Although they're not pieces of comedy gold, they're at least amusing, although the highlight of this one was the OTHER comments (Ie...This show is brilliant, says FOX boasting).

Obama/Clinton Debate: A Clinton supported (Lisa) and an Obama supporter (Jordan) argue with each other about the upcoming political election. This was a pretty clever sketch. It could've been a bit shorter, and the ending with the Giluiani (I butchered that one ) supporter and the American Idol joke. Could've been shorter, but not bad.

Tank: NASCAR: Tank (Bobby) gets two girls (Lisa, Nicole RJ) into his car, but they leave him when they see a NASCAR star. This sucked, just like every other Tank sketch, only possibly more, because it had no plot and less funny lines then usual, and usually, Tank sketches have about 2.

The Best Mom Ever: The celebrities from "Best Weed Ever" (minus Miley Cyrus and Mon'ique) talk about the best Moms ever for Mother's Day. What was there was good, but it needed more. Still, since I laughed at basically every part of it, I'll give it

Britney and Kevin in Divorce Court: Britney (Nicole P) and K-Fed (Ike) are in divorce court for custody of their children, but get distracted with bubble rap, dirty T-Shirts, and bad singing/rapping. Basically, your standard Britney/K-Fed sketch, in that it wasn't great, but had a few funny lines.

Who'd a Thunk?: Shrooms: The host of Who'd a Thunk (Frank) talks about when not to use mushrooms/shrooms. I had a feeling they'd recurr this... but it's not a bad thing. This was funnier then the first..it still needs to be a bit longer though.

Fake Performance: Sissy Felon: Sissy Felon (Nicole RJ) perfoms a dirty song with her two young children on stage, dancing dirty-ly. Then, Nicole P tries to get her to stop and reliaze what she is doing. I thought this was possibly the funniest sketch of the night, besides MAYBE Scrubs. I don't know why, but I really liked it. It was nice to see fake performances back, too.

Overall: This episode wasn't nearly as good as last week's, but it was still pretty good. Besides Tank, nothing bombed, and every sketch got at least a few chuckels out of me. Not a bad episode, not the greatest, but pretty good.

7/10

Open: Taco Hell - Cinco De Mayo: Didn't see it.

Survivor: Holy War #1-3: Sort of funny at times. 5/10

Commerical: Seasonalis: Pretty funny. Didn't drag on too long, which is the pitfall of a LOT of MAD sketches. 7/10

Scrubs: Made some pretty good points about Scrubs. I enjoy the show but it can be extremely corny. It was a little too zany at times though. 5/10

Jordan and Bobby: Deoderant Commercial: This sketch would have been much funnier if it were shorter. I only really laughed when the absurd amount of blood started spraying from Jordan's ears. 4/10

Larry King Discusses House: Absolute dogsh*t. I was watching this episode with someone that usually doesn't watch this show and I felt embarrassed for the show. Narrator based sketches are never ever funny. 3/10

Obama/Clinton Debate: Got the joke and then watched it get beaten into the ground. 3/10

Tank: NASCAR: Wow, I don't know if the product placement was supposed to be tongue in cheek but if it was, not funny. It was like 'SAY, YOU MEAN WITH NASCAR HOT PASS FROM DIRECTV YOU CAN HEAR THE CREW AND WATCH FROM A CAMERA IN THE CAR?!' 0/10

The Best Mom Ever: This one was funny. I liked Bobby Lee's character and I'm not sure why... 8/10

Britney and Kevin in Divorce Court: Same old bit but still sorta funny at times. They're getting a whole lot of mileage out of this sketch. Hopefully there will come a time when they learn to put this one to bed for good. 5/10

Who'd a Thunk?: Shrooms: Short, and funny. Good sketch! 8/10

Fake Performance: I'm not a fan of fake performances, music videos, etc. No thanks. 3/10

Overall: 3.5/10 There is something seriously wrong when I'm finding myself preferring SNL reruns to MAD. The writers need to learn how to not beat their jokes to death or it will be the ruin of this show. The audience isn't stupid, we catch on to jokes pretty quickly. I really hope they start turning things around at some point

Open: Cinco de Mayo (Keegan- Jorge, Crista- Herself, Jordan- Himself, Arden- Herself, Bobby- Himself, Ike- Himself): Wow, the first appearance of Jorge since Season 10. Wasn't bad, but could definitely have been a little shorter.
Rating: 3.5/5

Survivor: Holy War #1: Wasn't as good as the "Cook Islands" spoof, but it was still okay.
Rating: 4/5

Survivor: Holy War #2: See "Holy War #1"

Seasonalis: A very good parody. Frank constantly jumping on Crista 'cause she doesn't have her period anymore was awesome.
Rating: 4.5/5

Scrubs: I was a little weary about a Scrubs parody after the show's been on the air for 6 years, but I really liked it. Being a fan of Scrubs myself, they really captured the essence and general feeling of the show. My only real problem was, how in the bloody hell do you do a Scrubs parody and not have the Janitor in it?
Rating: 4/5

Big Man Deodorant Commercial Shoot: Particularly interesting how it was Jordan and Bobby instead of Ike and Bobby, especially since they seemed a little awkward in the beginning. Still, it was pretty good, though Jordan's bleeding got a little over the top in the end.
Rating: 4/5

Larry King Reviews "House M.D.": This one started off okay, but then began to drag on and lose steam.
Rating: 2/5

Election '08, Here We Come: Ignoring how unbelievably cheap this sketch looked (it WAS shot in Lisa's apartment, after all), it was actually very well-written. It actually was exactly like something you'd actually hear two people supporting them talking about.
Rating: 5/5

Survivor: Holy War #3: See "Holy War #2"

Tank: NASCAR: I wasn't really paying attention to this, but I do like how they've moved more and more recurring sketches to outside the studio (like Krumpin'). Though, it IS pretty cheap to do that.

The Best Mom Ever: See "Holy War #3," but replace "Cook Islands" to "Best Weed Ever."

Divorce Court Archival Footage: Spears vs Federline, Case #A2561: This was okay, but the Britney-K-fed stuff is getting old.
Rating: 3/5

Who'd a Thunk?: Mushrooms: I really thought this one was pretty good, and it's nice to see Frank get another character since Toby is all but dead. These are so random that you just can't help but to like them.
Rating: 4/5

Sissy Felony Jackson Performs: I'm SO glad we've gotten another fake musical guest, since the last one was in 1209. And this one was pretty good to boot, especially Nicole's reactions to her daughters dancing all provocatively.
Rating: 4.5/5

Final Thoughts: Another great episode. Nothing was really bad except "Divorce Court" and "House." I think that, now that the season is almost over, it's more than safe to say that this is the best season since Season 5. Also, this was the first time since she debuted that I was really impressed by Lisa. The lack of Micheal was a good thing as well because it gave more screen time to the other (he directed this episode). All in all, I give it a...

No, Keegan was the one with the head wrap; Jordan was the one with the bowtie.

And can we get a list of the writers in this episode? There were a lot.
