Default Stand-up or improv?

Which kind of comedy do you like better-stand-up (like Aries,Bobby,or Frank) or improv (like Mo,Stephnie, and Michael)?

I like improv. I just find it funnier and more entertaining.

I like them both Because Stand up the people say what's on their minds and don't have to follow a script but improv is more scripted and not as hard to mess up and you act which is always fun!

But I like both.....But as a career I would prefer Improv just because I cannot do anything original usually just ask my friends...

I like both. Stand-up people say what they want and they just make fun of a lot of things. Improv like "Whose line is it anyway?" is funny cause they make it up and they blirt out the first thing on their mind. I like both.

I really like both, but I picked improv just because I've done it before. I never have, and probably never will do stand up.

Improv baby... Stand up would crash and burn if it wasn't for improv

Definitely Improv - Standup comedians can do they're job but anyone who does improv keeps it fresh, fast, and funny; like you never know what's about to happen when you're around more actors at the same time.

Satnd up. Stand up comedy routines are a hell of alot funnier then improv. Watch Just for laughs to get my point. Jeremy hotz is one of the funniest people I have ever seen.

I prefer stand up, only because apart from the show "Who's Line Is It Anyway" i've hardly ever seen enough improv to really appreciate it. Plus Jim Carrey's early stand up work was hilariously funny

Neither. I don't really care about either one of them. But in terms of MADtv cast members, I would say the ones with strong improv backgrounds (Stephnie, Michael, Mo, Nicole P.) are better than the ones from stand up backgrounds (Aries, Bobby, Frank).

i prefer improv
while i think at times they are equally funny
improv is just unpredicatable and a lot of funny situations can arise from not knowing what will happen next

But, anyway, my favorite kind of stand-up is the red neck ppl kind! They are funnier than the politicals (john stewart), and the angry comedians (lewis black) , and the "you know when you take a dump and the water splash all up on yo ass?" kind of comedians.
I like Conan O'Brian though, hes weird and he's cool.
where'd u here that ?
thanks for ruining my day !! *pouts* aaa i'm j/k i hope thats not true though that would really defeat the purpose of them even being out there anyway.
i'm more of a fan of the political (jon stewert ) and of course the weird ones who share my "wierdness". i have a sense of humore most people don't get lol, so there aren't really a lot who relate to me ................... ooohhh welll
me and my multiple personalities
and southern accents both scare and annoy me *note to self: check if people on this forum are from the south before cracking this kind of comment*

Actually some of the late night hosts have ppl who either write their monologues for them or help them write their monologues.

And your not the only one who likes weird comedy! I do too! I just said red neck is my favorite kind of stand up. I dont really care for any standup comedy though. Late night shows like Conan i really like (its not really stand up). I love the daily show, especially the news reporter guys.
Yup gotta love the conan, but of course he has writers for the joke jokes (monalogue) but ur right its not like they're like comment on the audience like this *points to script*
well what i meant by my earlier comment is like what i joke about on my own is weird *just read my signature.....lol*
i know everybody likes weird comedy on TV
and the daily show is awesome
i totally agree
its rrooowwwl worthy LOL
*everyone who doesn't watch conan is like HUH ?* hehe
