Musical returns to form: Tim Skold, the driving force behind the downfall of Marilyn Manson, has apparently just been ejected in favor of former bassist, Twiggy Ramirez. Tim "The Ripper" Owens, the driving force behind the downfall of Iced Earth, has apparently just been ejected in favor of former vocalist, Matt Barlow. Both groups have new albums scheduled for release in 2008. Those babies just shot straight to the top of my list!

*crosses fingers and waits patiently for the inevitable "Tarja Turunen has returned to Nightwish" announcement*

I know! If only John 5 wasn't attached to Zombie at the moment...

Marilyn Manson + Twiggy Ramirez + John 5 + Chris Vrenna + Ginger Fish = *squirt*

Forreals, that's almost a lineup of reunion like proportions!
I saw he was playing this month and I was like "eh." But now...

What am I looking most forward to in 2010?

I guess... it not being 2009? 2009 kinda sucked balls, as did 2008. 2007 was cool, tho.

For me, nothing of particular note is on the horizon.

If Google's Nexus One phone is priced at $199 unlocked as rumored, that's a game-changer and something I'll surely pick up when it and Google Voice hit Canada; if not, move along, folks -- nothing to see here.

Several high-profile albums are on the way, but the only one I was actively anticipating leaked a few days ago, so that's out.

Tekken 6 finally hit shelves in October, DNF was scrapped, and Diablo III is still another 2-3 years off yet, so those are out as well.

I think I'm most looking forward to Summer getting a fucking job. And the TSCC film, if that ever happens.

I'm looking forward to the Winter Olympics coming to my town.
I'm also looking forward to my birthday on June 30th because that will be the birthday when I can finally start drinking boose and gambling... Legally. What I am not looking forward to is the very next day, when my provincial government inacts the awful Harmonized Sales Tax, in which everything will now cost 5 or 7% more. Fucking government! bw, MAD life you know what I'm talking about.

I'm also looking forward to watching CFL football games outside at the temporary stadium at the old Empire grounds when the Lions move out there for one seasons while BC Place is getting renovated.

I'm also looking forward to the final season of Lost, and the eventual return of MADtv.

That's all for now.

I'm looking forward to it not being 2009, turning 18 in June, finishing High School, and at some point, hopefully getting a life (if I have the time)

I don't think MADtv will ever come back, but I doubt The Wanda Sykes Show is gonna last very long, so maybe another sketch comedy show will take its place?

Probably not 'cause, you know, money, but that seems more likely than bringing back MADtv.

This goes for all of you who ask this question or this type of question. I will never, NEVER, give up my strong love and support that MADtv will be back. I assure you all, it will be back. If not soon, then I will stay hopeful, for the rest of my life, that one day, the show will return, as funny, and as entertaining as ever. You will all see, as we will be hearing the phrase "you are now watching MADtv" again.

That being said, if another show was to come along that had the same formula, the same edgyness, had the same feel of MADtv, but without the name, and was on at some point in the night to face SNL, I would be willing to accept it. I just think that SNL needs some kind of sketch comedy competition. It'll work for the show and everyone, because...

A. We would have an alternative

B. SNL would have to stay on it's game, instead of now, where they can just phone it in because they know there is no one better on the night (Wanda is not even close to a challenge for them), and because they know that they're is no chance of them being cancelled.

We need another sketch comedy show on Saturday nights, and if it can't be MADtv, it should at least be a show like it, that can really give SNL a run for it's money.

I feel like we've had this same discussion of tvman's delusions of mad returning like a million times now.

I agree. Except replace delusions with assurance. In other discussions, sort of, I have finally finished one of my goals of 2009. I now have every episode of seasons 10 and 11 of MADtv on demand on my computer and on DVD's! Yay!

Oh, it'll happen. Right after MADtv begins production on its fifteenth season.

Seriously, though, I hear tell that Anette's become the very same kind of obnoxious that led them to boot Tarja, the fans still hate her, and the band has stated there's going to be a "big twist" on their next album. Sounds promising to me. I didn't say it would happen in 2008, did I?
