Britney and K-Fed's Last Thanksgiving: I expected to hate this, but it got better as it went along.

Homeless Guys #1-3: I'm surprised most of you guys didn't like these. I found them all pretty funny. Michael's great at playing asshole characters like this, I wouldn't mind seeing this character brought back in different situations. "What'd he win?"

Macy's Thanksgiving Parade: This was good until Bobby Lee came along, I find just about everything he does these days really tired and annoying. Jordan and Arden were good, but Bobby's Kim Jong-Il isn't that funny anymore.

Celebrity Obsessed Guy: This character really cracks me up. It's bound to get old if they keep doing it, but I haven't gotten sick of him yet. I love how outraged he gets and the quivering lip is hilarious. The end with Nicole Parker was funny too.

RU486: Was this used before? I'm pretty positive I've seen it somewhere. It was funny, but all of it seemed really familiar. Maybe SNL or some other show did a similar commercial parody.

Studio 69: If you haven't seen any of "Studio 60", I could see this not making too much sense. I've seen the first 4 or 5 episodes, and this was a spot-on parody of it. I'm with Hikikomorian, that show is unbearable. Hated "Sports Night" and "The West Wing" about the same. "Your brother is in the middle of Iraq!" took the cake for the most ridiculous moment of that piece of garbage show, glad to see they even mocked that line in this sketch.

24 with Bobby Lee: Started off with kinda the same old crap, but it got a little funnier in the doctor's office with all the Virgin Mary stuff. The ET ending with Jordan was great too. I think more Jordan Peele in this would've made it better, Bobby is more likable when he has the much funnier Ike or Jordan by his side.

Mariah Carey's Dog: Didn't care much for this, I've found most of the animation/claymation stuff from this year is pretty bad.

Deck the Halls: Not as bad as the last few HNL appearances, but still pretty annoying. I like Keegan, but I usually find this character pretty unbearable.

Dax Strutter: I liked this. I've been unimpressed by most of the fake musical guest sketches they've started doing this season. Most of them were either too short, never really went anywhere, or just plain sucked. It's also good to see one with the cast member actually singing, some of the other ones used lip-synching tracks like the Japanese girl band. It's good to see Frank Caeti as the center of a sketch for the first time all season. Even in all the small thankless roles, Caeti always manages to stick out, he seems like a real talent and I hope they start to use him more as the season goes on. I'd say this and the one with out-of-breath Crista Flanagan were the best of the fake musical guests so far.

I liked this episode for the most part, even the Bobby Lee sketches, while still lame, at least had some redeemable parts in them.

Open: Britney and K-Fed's Last Thanksgiving: Enough, already.

Homeless Guy #1-3: Michael made me laugh for the first time in awhile. "I GOTCHA!" I've always wanted to bust bums' balls like that.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: A) I love Arden's luscious melons in her Jennifer Love Hewtitt impression, and B) I laughed when Kim Jong-Il's nukes joined the parade lineup. Though I won't be laughing if he ever perfects his delivery system.

Celebrity Obsessed: Larry Falls in Love: I can't stand Larry. But I love Nicole Parker. That wig she was wearing looks like a leftover from Mo Collins' reign

RU486 Pill: This was sick, twisted, and funny. Who would choose a one night stand with Huey Lewis over their kid? Hahahaha

Studio 69: I hate "Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip" with a passion. Aaron Sorkin has got to be one of the most overrated egomaniacs in the history of television. So of course, I loved this. Crista as a porn star? Hell yea! Wonder if she needs a fluffer?

24 with Bobby Lee: MADtv Physical: I know a lot of people have grown tired of these, but Bobby always manages to make me laugh in them. Considering the history of these, I was surprised that the Virgin Mary on his chest didn't get the patented hard slap. I guess they figured they were pushing the envelope far enough already, friggin' blasphemers!

Mariah Carey's Dog: I would have preferred to see a naked Mariah Carey claymation pop out of that shower.

HNL: Deck the Halls: These always depend on who's being "surprised/ambushed". This one wasn't bad. Ferris Bueller, Louie DePalma, and the good girl from "Sex In The City". I like how he reduces them to their previous roles, and the line about Matthew Broderick's career disappearing after "Ferris Bueller" made me laugh, especially since it didn't seem to make him laugh much at all.

Fake Performance: Dax Strutter: Frank Caetti was very good in this.

The first three episodes this season were solid. Every one since has been hit and miss, up and down. I'd rate this one a positive, but I'm wondering what happened to the great start to this season.

Brittany and Kfed - This is without a doubt my least favorite Britney Spears impersonation. I guess it was the fact that I saw this coming kind of ruined it for me. Not funny

Homeless Guy 1 - Bad. This was the setup for the "punchline" that came 2 homeless guys later I guess.

Homeless Guy 2 - See above.

Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade - Yes, JLH has big boobs on that show, it's a joke that has been done on every comedy show since her show got on the air. This was a pretty weak sketch unfortunately.

Homeless Guy 3 - Wow what a payoff Come on MADtv writers, you're better than this.

Larry: Movie Audience - I'm completely shocked that the best sketch of the night was all Michael. It was a pretty good bit overall and I think what really made it was the fact that Michael got all teary eyed at one point when people were criticizing his favorite celebrities

Joys of parenting. RU486. - This sketch could have been much better if they made it so that the daughter could hear Nicole saying all of this. This was pretty unnecessary how it was.

Studio 69 - I will admit that I don't watch Studio 60 so some of the parody might have been lost on me but this seemed to me to be a LOT like the parodies in old school MADtv (which isn't necessarily a good thing). The earlier seasons had really obvious parodies usually focused around a play on words and this is kind of what I saw here. I guess this might have been a good concept but I didn't find myself laughing at any point.

24 With Bobby Lee - I usually dislike these sketches but considering how bad all of the sketches were this week, this was actually a standout I did chuckle a few times, like at Bobby's strange sleeping positions and the ending.

Mariah Carey's GAY dog - Not the least bit funny. Who keeps telling MADtv to do animation sketches?!

Hole Nutha Levul: Deck The Halls - I sort of like the HNR character but I think I would really prefer a new sketch in place of these because they seem to serve to promote the movie more than to be funny. I haven't even heard of this freakin' movie. HNR at its lowest.

Dax Strutter performs - I think maybe last week they struck gold with Mo' Faux Killa and then pushed their luck a little too far. I was born in 88 so I don't have any sort of hair band nostalgia that might have made this funny. I think in general I don't find anything that came out of the 80s funny, so that could have been it.

Closing: Dax Strutter performs - See above. This one was a little funnier though when Keegan was really uncomfortable but then started getting into it. I liked that.

Overall this was a pretty terrible episode to be completely honest. I've been defensive of the past episodes of this season that I found pretty funny when other's haven't, but this was basically a whole episode with only 2 mildly funny sketches. I really hope this isn't a permanent trend...

Oh and special note to Potty regarding Studio 69: I don't know what kind of porn you're watching but they usually don't have big fat hairy guys in them

Open: Britney/K-Fed Thanksgiving Video: This one... kinda sucked. There's no real way to get around it. I was worried that the parody would be dated, but I think they did a nice job of saying it was a video from before they got divorced.

Defrauding Bums #1-3: The first two were okay, but it was the third one that was particularly good. I wonder if there are people out there who just try to see if homeless people are actually homeless.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: At first, I thought this sketch was gonna REALLY suck, and at first, it seemed that way. But then it started to get pretty funny towards the end. I don't know what it was, but it really turned around.

Celebrity Obsessed: Larry in Love: Pretty much the same thing as the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade. I liked how Larry found Carrie in the end. Also nice to see Micheal still have some character's these days, even though this sketch reminded me a little of the Dominick sketch in Season 9.

[b]RU486[/lb]: This one was all right. Not great, but not terrible either. It would've made it a little nicer, though, if RU486 was made by Spishak or something (then again, the same could be said for the Levitrol sketch last week).

Studio 69 on Van Nuys Boulevard: This one was a little weird. I didn't really laugh at it or anything, but I still liked it. I was kinda hoping they would've done a parody of the actual show and maybe taken some shots at SNL, but what's done is done.

24 with Bobby Lee: Bobby's Physical: This was meh. It was much better than the one with Howie Mandel (though that's really not that hard), but wasn't as good as some of the Season 11 ones (John Cena, Jordan, John Cho). There isn't really that much to day about this one. I did laugh at it, but it wasn't fantastic.

Claymation: Celebrity Pets: THIS, however, WAS fantastic. This is the animation I've been waiting for. It wasn't really long or anything, but it was just long enough to really be good. I'd say this was the best sketch of the night. Good job on this one.

HNL: Deck the Halls Cast: I was REALLY expecting this to suck, but, as much as I hate to admit it, I was wrong. This was actually pretty damn good. The whole thing with Eugene continuing to call Matthew Broderick Ferris Bueler and talk about how he hasn't done anything since then was great (although he seemed a bit annoyed by it). "Hey, Ferris Bueler, can you shut your mouth? I can't even get a word in edgewise." Plus, Danny DeVito's interaction with him was great too. I still think they need to stop doing these because they ARE running thin, but this one was surprisingly good, and if they stay on par with this one (or the one with Xzibit and The Rock), I MIGHT be able to tolerate it.

Dax Strutter Performs & Close: Dax Strutter Performs (Frank - Dax Strutter, Keegan): I'm not really sure what to think of these two. They had some funny parts to them, but I was kinda hoping Frank would have a heart attack on stage or maybe even slam the baby on the ground. Something. But as it was, it was decent.

Final Thoughts: Going in, I really thought it was gonna suck, but it wasn't that bad. Aside from Celebrity Pets, nothing was really hilarious, but they all did get some laughs out of me. Nice to see Frank do something finally, though. My only real disappointment was no weekly news with Toby for the second week in a row. Hopefully it'll be back soon.

Coach Hines isn't the best character ever on MAD, but right now, he IS the best by far IMO. Kason is good, but needs to be put in very different situations or will grow stale quickly. Curt Jones seems like he could be the next big character for MAD, but like many other classic characters (Lorraine, the Vancome Lady), his first appearance wasn't overly impressive (actually because of Arden, really ), but otherwise he has HUGE potential. As for Disney Girl...like I always say, you can NEVER EVER have too much Nicole Parker.

Yeah, I pretty much agree. This episode really was pretty bad. The cast performed excellently (for the most part) but the writing was weak. I'm hoping for a really good #1207, the skit previewed looked funny. I'm not giving up on this season yet, though.

OMG! Frank Caeti did such a great job this week. Why aren't we seeing more of HIM and less of Bobby's naked body? Great job for Caeti this week. More! More!

Let's hope this was HNL's last appearence. This week's HNL skit was over 5 minutes...WAY too long, especially for Season 12.

this episode wasn't that good. neither was last week's epiosode.
i miss the old madtv. season 9 was probably the best season.
now, madtv has no musical guests except for the cast being not that funny, and whenever they have a special guest, they always have him/her on HNL, which isn't that funny either.

i think this week's episode was probably the worst episode i've ever seen

anyone agree?
Probably not the worst, but yea, this was a bad episode. But IMO Season 9 was HARDLY the best season...probably one of the worst seasons, actually, especially the later half. Seasons 1-5 CRUSH S9, plain and simple. But I do agree, the fake performance are mostly 'eh' and need to be limited to only a few per season (if at all), and they need to stop HNL, period.

Anyways...

Open: Britney/K-Fed Thanksgiving Video - Okay at parts, but not wonderful. I really don't like Nicole's Britney all that much, and Ike's K-Fed makes me want to punch the real K-Fed even more than usual (both a good thing and a bad thing). Could have been worse.

Defrauding Bums #1-3 - Yea...what was this? Good concept, poor execution. Frank was really good as a bum, though. That elicits at least one star from me.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade - I fuggin' thought I was watching SNL for a moment here! What the hell? Honestly? Have they ever used Bobby's admittedly half-decent Kim Jong Il impression in ANYTHING (and I mean anything) that isn't utterly cringe-inducing (other than the mediocre 'Crazy' video from the premiere)? Arden was pretty lame too. Jordan, eh, he was OKAY, but that didn't matter really. What. A. Turkey.

Celebrity Obsessed: Larry in Love - At first, I was really miffed that they used Larry Felmer again so soon, seeing as this character is only good in small doses. However, the end of the sketch, where he find love in Carrie, kind of redeems things, and also adds a little (read: a little) longevity to the CO skits, should Mike decides to continue with that storyline. .5

RU486 - Short and sweet, with a typically excellent performance by Nicole Parker. Nuff said. .5

Studio 69 on Van Nuys Boulevard - Performances: Excellent. Writing: Okay. I wasn't rolling, but I liked it. It was good because it didn't directly parody the show, and instead put a different spin on it, which worked because Studio 60 isn't really parody-worthy in my eyes. However, I would have much prefered for them to have used MADtv itself as a parody template, rather than a hardcore porn movie. Still, it was adequate.

24 with Bobby Lee: Bobby's Physical - Wow, this one caught me off guard. At first, it was fairly lame (Bobby sleeps all day...harhar )...but the sketch REALLY took off when Bobby took off his shirt to reveal a bacteria stain resembling the Virgin Mary. This was easily the best 24 with Bobby Lee beside the first one, and further reinforces that Bobby can be HILARIOUS in the right situations, AND if he doesn't focus solely on Asian jokes and nudity.

Mariah's Dog - More focused than the other claymation bits this year, but I still wasn't blown away. Oh well, they're getting better.

HNL: Deck the Halls - No. If this is the last HNL, then it'll be too soon.

Dax Strutter Performs - Only mildly funny, but I thought Frank was REALLY good here...he gave an excellent performance in this. On the other hand, it dragged quite a bit, and as I said, wasn't all that great, but Frank compensated for the fairly eh performance.

Worst ep of the season BY FAR. Oddly enough, 24 with Bobby Lee was the best skit, and not because everything else was utter crap (well not EVERYTHING ), but because it was SURPRISINGLY good. However, there were a few okay sketches.

This season showed inital promise, but now the more this season goes on, the more the underwhelming writing is bottlenecking the cast's abilities to perform by giving them lame stuff and lame sketches. Keegan's way too talented to be wasted on HNL every episode, for example, and the most both Nicoles, Frank, and Jordan can seem to do is give good performances in mediocre to subpar skits. Season 9 was not even close to being the best season (or being considered "Old MadTV" at that) and this episode, while pretty bad, wasnt the worst (see #1103-1107 and 75% of Season 7). This ep was the worst S12 has had to offer, though.

Open: Britney and K-Fed's Last Thanksgiving: I know others are going to disagree, but I LOVED this. Nicole P was great as usual (yes, I like her Britney impression ) and even though Ike's K-Fed isn't that great (aside from the fake performance in #1201) he did ok. Putting glitter on the stuffing made me laugh the hardest, LOL. The ending with K-Fed rapping was lame, though. Overall, a good sketch.

Homeless Guy #1-3: All 3 of these sucked. When I said dump the 30-second animation sketches about nothing...I DIDNT MEAN REPLACE THEM WITH 30-SECOND LIVE ACTION SKITS ABOUT NOTHING. But...yeah. Horrific.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: Sucked. Plain and simple. Although I did chuckle and some of the political jokes, it was a huge let-down. Arden and Bobby's impressions were good, but it just wasn't a well-written sketch.

Celebrity Obsessed: Larry Falls in Love: This was awesome. I love Larry/Celebrity Obsessed. I hope they keep these going. Nicole P was also great as Larry's soul mate.

RU486 Pill: Another sketch I had seen prior to it's airing. I liked it, Nicole was good in it. I felt bad for the little girl though, LOL.

Studio 69: Like Pizzoity, I don't watch Studio 60, so I didn't get a lot of the jokes. But still, this was a brilliantly written sketch IMO. Everything was perfect. Especially the praying for a good porn, LOL. This was downright sick, but hilarious.

24 with Bobby Lee: MADtv Physical: This sketch was hilarious. Which is RARE for a 24 with Bobby Lee sketch. I laughed HARD when the nuns(?) were worshipping Bobby's rash, LOL. And when the flowers drooped.

Mariah Carey's Dog: Another crappy claymation sketch, but at least it had a purpose and wasn't just 30 seconds of nothing. So...this was ok for what it was.

HNL: Deck the Halls: It's become an instinct to head on to the computer when HNL comes on. I didn't pay much attention to this skit, but from what I saw, it was bad.

Fake Performance: Dax Strutter: This was ok, not the best fake performance. It was mildly amusing when Nicole went into labor on stage, LOL.

Close: Dax Strutter Performs: Random, but funny.

This episode wasn't good. It had a few ok/decent sketches, but the good outweighed the bad. Worst episode of the season thus far.

5.5/10

this episode wasn't that good. neither was last week's epiosode.
i miss the old madtv. season 9 was probably the best season.
now, madtv has no musical guests except for the cast being not that funny, and whenever they have a special guest, they always have him/her on HNL, which isn't that funny either.

i think this week's episode was probably the worst episode i've ever seen

anyone agree?

Brittany and Kfed - Lmao. I Loved this. I love Nicole as Britney. Just hearing her making regular speech into a song always kills me. Hehe I used to do that when I was younger. Ahhhh WEIRDO. And Ike was pretty good too. *Panties in the stove to dry* Haha. Mmm. Great sketch I...M...O...! Funnier than most of the other Britney/Kevin sketches MADtv produces. "My Predicament" still rules all.

Homeless Guy 1 - Hmm....no. Not really.

Homeless Guy 2 - Same as the first one. I don't know if this was a satire of something or just a...yah.

Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade - Arden uses like the same voice for every impression. All the ones I've seen anyone. And then Bobby comes in as Kim Jong Il. Not. These political sketches don't really make me laugh anymore. The ones with the political leaders and stuff. Funniest thing was, "Hat made out of pancakes and cow manure."

Homeless Guy 3 - Lol. "You photoshopped that picture." Still pretty lame though.

Larry: Movie Audience - Hahaha. It was pretty good. I didn't laugh as much as I wanted to, but it was a good sketch. "Ohhh Robin [hahaha] what cant you do?" Lol.

Joys of parenting. RU486. - Eh. Could have gone withOUT. Wtf does the title mean?

Studio 69 - I don't watch Studio 60 so I'm not sure if I really understood the concept. I liked how everyone was getting all prepared though. Lmao. *praying to God for a good porn* Rofl. And Nicole and Crista practicing their orgasms. Haha. Why the F********K do they always put fat, hairy guys in porn? Do they have an abnormally LARGE COCK?

24 With Bobby Lee - Ewww. I cant believe some of the things Jordan did to Bobby. Haha. Wowwww, yo. Lmao. Wtf is up with Bobby and his weird sleeping positions? *sleeping in chair on head* "Ok...now...on to the left." Hahaha. Ew wtCOCK was that on Bobby's chest? Ahhh. Bobby is Buddah! I loved the ending. Rofl. I usually find these sketches funny. I don't know why other disagree!?!?!

Mariah Carey's GAY dog - Not really that funny. I still thought it was good. Just not funny. Mmm I lovez me some Mariah Carey. 3333333###

Hole Nutha Levul: Deck The Halls - The celebs doing the interview seemed really impressed by it, but I wasn't really so much. I don't know. They're usually decent to me, and this one was a little less than decent. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.

Dax Strutter performs - Lol. They cant get real performers so the cast does their own? HOT-T. Ew at those pants though. The sh****tty fashion distracted me from whatever comedy was in this. Sorreh. Fashion freak. I like Frank's rock voice though. Lmao Ike came and f****ked it up though!

Closing: Dax Strutter performs - Yah, same as first.

And there's my REVIEW!
