Did anyone else enjoy Arden's cleavage when she closed the show?

Gayngster (Jordan, Keegan)
Wanna know something funny? I saw this EXACT same sketch two years ago, the first time I went to the Chicago Improv Festival. In between the writer and cast performances, Ike and Josh had their own segment where they performed sketches that didn't make it onto the show and this same sketch was one of them. I watched this week's MADtv with the same friends who went with me that year and we were freaking out. That's so funny that they decided to air this sketch two years later with different cast members. Weird.

I gotta say, this week's Lillian Verner was AWESOME. Easily one of my favorite skits so far this season - proof that it doesn't need Steph or Paul in it to make it great. On the other hand, I hated the Ike/Bobby date sketch. I can't really put my finger on it, it was just bad. And HOLY SH!T, an Encore! From Season 7! That one came totally out of left field. It was kind of crappy though - the Carolla/Kimmel on Ice sketch from 716, which is one of the worst eps from that season IMO. Everything else was solidly mediocre.

6/10

Black History Minute: Water Polo- This was a very funny sketch, inventive. Keegan was great in it. 4/5

Intro: Blacks Taking over America- This also was very inventive. Jordan was showcased well. It had me laughing. 3.5/5

Lillian Verner: Survivor Edition- I wasn't expecting to like this, I've never really thought they were funny, but I quite enjoyed. The contestants made the sketch--Keegan and Nicole were hilarious. Simian wasn't as annoying as usual either. 4/5

Sexual Fighting- Another great sketch. Hopefully this will be left as a one off--it wouldn't work if they brought it back. I like that it wasn't overdone or too long, like many sketches are. Also, I really the film in it, it was good quality--maybe it's because of the episode cuts? 4.5/5

Ike and Bobby Go Out With Crista and Arden: This was okay, but it had bits that made me laugh. Ike was probably the highlight, playing up his total idiot persona. 3/5

Krumpin' With Alyson Hannigan: Even with a different set-up this still didn't match the first. The best part was the interviews with Nippy and Noodles--Crista was great, and when she got pushed off the chair was pretty great. Alyson Hannigan seemed kind of acting "stiffly", she wasn't very good. She kind of reminded me of Sara Gilbert in "Roseanne". 4/5

George Bush Talk To The Audience: Another mediocre Bush. PLEASE stop! Even if they are okay sketches, stop putting them on so often! Maybe give Frank a freaking recurring character?? 2.5/5

Ho' Nuva Leva With Jeff Probst: Not much was different from the first, but somehow I founded it funnier. Keegan was quite funny. 3.5/5

Encore: Winter Olympics: This was pretty mediocre, but the fact that it was short made it better. 3/5

Close With Arden And Cast: Just a closing. 3/5

High Point: Sexual Fighting

Low Point: George Bush Talks To The Audience

I'll probably comment on the episode later.

The water polo skit is one of the show's best skits this year and very cleaver edited.

For once, I decided not to judge the episode with a harsh eye, and just watch the episode. It didn't disappoint, much.

Water Polo: Good use of Keegan, and a Black History Month bit. The whole thing was pretty funny, even though we lost a few good men. They just couldn't swim...

Jordan Intro: I wasn't really into it. I was disappointed Nicole RJ and Daniele didn't really do much. I thought they had bigger roles, but it was fine.

Lillian Verner: Jeff is a worthy replacement for Paul, much better than Jeff Garlin. Nicole was the only good "past champion," she made me laugh the most. These sketches don't seem as good anymore. Nothing like the originals.

Grab-Ass Jordan: I swear I've seen this character before. It was funny, then got... un-funny.

Ike and Bobby Date: Favorite sketch of the night. Mainly because of Arden and Crista. I've come to accept that Ike and Bobby are inseperable and annoying together, and that's too bad. Funny sketch, though. I like them being them, like TJ said.

Krumpin' with Alyson: Another good sketch. It was less "watch me Krump," and more character related. That's what made this sketch great, the character aspect. Good krumps.

George Bush: I was dreading this sketch. I've hated the Bush stage sketches, but this one was good. Mainly just the Ike and Bobby bits. That was it.

Ho' Nuva Level: I didn't watch the other one, but I've got it at the ready. It was a good character, funny sketch, but it dragged out WAY too long. The Survivor/Lost jokes were funny.

Olympics: AN ENCORE WTF?!?! And I had such high hopes for this season, and they pull this sketch out. Okay, I understand, it's the Winter Olympics, but there could have been something better in there.

Closing with Arden: Mmm, Arden. The closings look really awkward. It's like people are looking around, wondering what to do, who to hug. I like them.

More new graphics. The "you are now watching MADtv" graphic was more intense, and the encore logo was new.

High hopes for Laguna Biotch 2. I'm suprised that we've got a rerun next week, what gives? I know there are 8 more episodes left in the season, so I guess we'll see how the episodes go. We've got at most 12 more Saturdays to go.

Sorry, I didn't know that... Either. I'm so lost of the recent episodes.
Sorry I picked you Dartanian.

ah- forgot about those other sketches so here's the rest of the commentary from me.

waterpolo- I probably laughed the most when he drowned. Is that bad?

Intro- It was okay I guess- to me the whole idea sounded a bit overplayed, but then again what stereotype on madtv isn't?

Lillian Verner- my favorite parts: nicole sullivan's dummy and keegan's gibberish.

Fighting People- I thought it was actually pretty funny, and for some reason, it reminds me of "It's a football thing". The ending was a bit "uh...lol?", because it was on a roll and then the last bit was them saying "I LOVE YOU " which wasn't the funniest ending but okay.

Ike-Bobby-date- "I'm Asian I can't drive!" (or something like that). I loved the waitress's response to Ike and Bobby's asshole-ish comments. "you're from american idol, chubang, chubang!". I loved it when Ike faked choking and when Christa maced Bobby ;P

George Bush: the "hot dish" was umm... yeah. I thought it'd be funnier if you portrayed him as more homophobic, but that's just me. And he said Bobby was "animated", not anime, hehe. My favorite question would have to be the last one, in Spanish.

Still anticipating that Laguna Biotch though. I know, I'm a noob so I don't know why it didn't show.

I taped the episode and am watching it now as I type this. I might not make a lot of sense with this review....but I'm sure my bad spelling and sentence fragments will be a bit understandable.

Water Polo- I laughed a lot. the puddle they played in was really funny. The speedos were.... almost funny.Keegans face when he was falling the pool was priceless, i was laughing very loud. I enjoyed this.

Intro- Kinda scary. I thought Jordan was Lorenz at first but the conspiracy idea is creepy.... Ice Cube for President!!!

Lillian Verner- Another guest host but Simian was funy at the start. Jeff was funny and the slave thing was funny too. Keegan with the smurf and microphone was great too. I like the ventriloquist thing too. And the giant is back. I didn't expect to recognize the character contestants. The microphone thing is still funny. The redneck bobble heads were good buzzers. I wonder if Simian's balloon was supposed to pop. He seemed scared. I think Frank is the voice for Jeff Foxworthy. The giant's snot grossed me out. Another good sketch. I'm pleased.

Fighting People- "Kick it don't grab it" haha this was funny and also when he knelt down. This is really different and funny I really like it. Happy ending too This was a nice suprise for the season. A great one off sketch (so far). It didn't go overboard or run too long.

Ike and Bobby Date: I like when cast members are themselves. The asian brother joke was funny. As well as the asian bad driving joke. Also the asian american Idol joke. (I'm not being sarcastic either. I really thought they were funny) Ike and Bobby were really obnoxious. Once again Christa kicked Bobby's ass. I think they make a good duo. This was really funny overall. So far this is a good episode.

Krumpin': I really like Alyson Hannigan. I also really like Krumpin' so I may be biased. I like the concept of this one and the monologues were really good. The dancing is pretty much always the same but it's still making me laugh. Nippy loved Big Momma's House 2 . Alyson was awesome with her Krump. I think I enjoy watching guys get hurt by women....

(wow another Laguna Biotch.. Sweet)

George Bush: George Bush is good at spanish . Memoirs of a Geisha joke was good. I think Frank said Bobby was like Anime... if so, that was funny lol. Frank seems to really like being infront of a live crowd. He was really good in this sketch. I think I might try to learn Canadian-Afgani now.

Whole Nuva Level: I can't remember the first one too well but I think it was very similar to this one. Survivor actually did take TV to a whole nuva level... creepy. This character is annoying funny. Like its funny because of how annoying he is. This could get annoying after a while. I like Jovan better. The Lost joke was great though.

Olympics: Wow an Encore! I've never seen this one so I'm quite excited... I'm suprised they didn't credit Jimmy and Adam in the opening credits. They were really funny though. I'm not sure when this was made but I'd assume it was a while ago because Bobby is playing a woman... and its an olympic sketch so... 2002. I'm good at math .

Closing: Wow Ardne got to close. Neat! Just a normal closing though....

I liked this episode a lot. A few really good original sketches so therefore, CrazyNutCase is WRONG!!
Nicole Randall Johnson was mentioned in the opening but I didn't see her and its too bad Frank Caeti wasn't in this one but it was still a good episode I think.

Well it looks like no one else saw the episode as the there is no other reviews so I guess I will. Well, most of the episode if not all of it sucked. Worst Episode Ever!!!!! Easily. I'm sorry I had to say that but its true and it has to be said. I don't care what other people will say or if they disagree (hopefully they'll be smart enough not to because they should have enough common sense to know when an episode sucks, like I do ) That was a nice rant wasn't it now I hope I don't get banned oh well. Goodnight and goodbye people. See y'all later.

hmm...alright. Well, this is the first time I've actually seen an episode of MadTV in its premiere (I've only seen the reruns on comedy central from previous seasons) - I haven't seen most of the previous sketches so don't bash me. Please ;_;

I was anticipating another Laguna Biotch...well, before they cut to the commericals I swear they had a stint of kristin.

the "whole nutha level" thing was pretty amusing, but not entirely funny.

The Dubya thing was alright, because I haven't seen many of his previous ones. I liked the geisha-bobby-as-a-girl thing, I guess.

That game show was corny-funny.

The water polo thing was amusing, and I liked the whole ike-bobby-date. Big Wangs, lmao.

"krumpin". Well I don't know why it's so popular so I won't comment on this :X

I liked the ice-skating one too. "lucy liu - looks huskier in real life". haha.

bleh. I was really waiting for the laguna biotch one though.

Ooooh gurl. Krumpin' sounds awesome. I'm glad they're gonan be in a different scenario. I think it might be better than the last one-which was almost exactly the same as the first one, but with less..."pizzazz".

Jeff Probst is good, but Ho' Nuva Leva sounds dumb. It was OK the first time, but they're bringing it back WAY too soon.

Crista says "the American Pie bitch who stuck that flute in her cootch" line in the latest Krumpin, if that matters. Maybe Dartanian is into her, maybe not.

But from the Clip of the Week, this doesn't look like the regular Krumpin. It looks good. It doesn't seem like the regular recurring sketch. I'll use the Crafty Gals as an example. They go to a sports game, they sell Xmas goods, they go to a rodeo. This one just seems different to me., in a good way.
