The Grammy Awards
Anyone watching the Grammy's tonight? If so, who are you hoping will win big?
I'd like to see Green Day win some, I thought that American Idiot was a pretty good record. I'd also like to see No Doubt win for Best Group with It's My Life and Gwen as Best Female for What You Waiting For. I'll be watching...
I dunno.... I want the Black Eyed Peas, Incubus and Gwen to win something. I know that I don't want Usher to take home half the awards, but he probably will. I hate him. Usually I never agree with who wins.

Usher always is winning and for once I'd like him to stop.I like his music but he wins too much.I agree with Cat_Named_Cece on this one.

I'm rooting for Green Day and John Mayer, I also don't want Usher to win everything, he's quite overrated, he doesn't even write his own songs...why should he deserve all of this praise? American Idiot's a really great album and i WISH it would win album of the year, but i'm betting that Ray Charles will win, for sentimental value.

Wow, Alicia Keys looked amazing tonight. Her performance was awesome too.
I dunno, it wasn't the best Grammy's. I'm glad that Green Day won something. I'm pissed that No Doubt lost to Los Lonely Boys, that's so lame. Oh well. I knew Ray Charles was gonna win some of the major awards because he has the sympathy vote due to his death. It was ok, though. Ok...i officially hate sympathy grammys. WTF, both record and album of the year? man. At least they won best rock album. Only one out of six though...damn U2. This has made me more mad than i thought i would be.

Personally, I haven't watching the Grammy since they gave the hard rock Grammy to Jethro Tull back in 1989.
So in short, I really don't care who wins. |

U2 doesn't even deserve to be nominated for half the awards they're nominated for- let alone win. They are a lousy band with charisma..i'm glad Green day won best rock album- They deserved it. American Idiot is the best CD to come out in ages..I missed most..U2's boring performence got on my nerves. The performances were pretty boring, until Green day got up..been awhile since i've heard American Idiot.

mkay so I'm going to talk about this years Grammys here too, since I'm a good little searchbar user
 I spaced out during a lot of it, but I'm glad Kelly Clarkson won her two Grammys. She's such a gracious winner too, I love her speeches lol. She looked hot as hell too.  I loved her performance, she did an awesome job...much better than her VMA performance. That's all I have to say, really. GO KELLY!

First I thought U2 deserved to win album of the year but also everyone was talking about Sly Stone's mohawk.
Also, I didn't watch one second of the show becuase there wasn't any great music that came out in '05. Mariah Carey should do more pop records and wear more than a thong on stage. Kayne West is overrated. and Kelly Clarkson will never have another hit in her lifetime, though that prediction is less like to happen then the first two I mention. |

I'm not shocked that U2 won so much but I'm glad it wasn't a Green Day show with them winning a bunch of awards. They kinda disgust me now.
I'm glad Kelly Clarkson won like at the MTV awards. I think she deserved it more than Gwen and I liked the surprise. Kanye West, as much as I hate to admit it, probobly has the most meaningful hip-hop that is popular at the moment. He deserved to win and I'm sooo glad that Fitty and Eminem didn't win. Mariah Carey won some awards and I'm glad. I didn't see her thong performance but its part of her image. I was expecting The Arcade Fire and the Killers to win stuff but neither did. this is why i like the billboard music awards, its all the bands i actually enjoy listening to. Bands like green day and U2 are the only ones that win like all the awards at the grammy's. Kudo's to them but i think they are jsut amazingly overrated, i loved green day in the early years but they have been around forever now and i just dont like to listen to their music as much anymore.
Kanye on the other hand, how controversial he is, still makes amazing music, i prefer his brand of hip hop over what is currently out there. |

White Stripes won Best Alternative Album.
Death Cab so should have won.
