[MADtv] MADtv seasons 2-5 coming to DVD!

I watched all of season 4 and I didn't find a single edit. It looks as though Shout! Factory went all out on this release!

After rewatching these episodes, I think MADtv was way ahead of its time. The skeches and characters were very clever. I'm so happy to finally own seasons 1-4. I can't wait for season 5!

Agreed that MADtv was ahead of it's time. When I watched season 2 I saw sketches that were so edgy for the time. Even today, I think there are sketches that they did that not even the best sketch comedy troupes could come up with. I really think MAD still has a place in this world. Key and Peele are a great example of that. I think that if they brought it back on the CW at 11:00, with Warner Bros. owning CW, and therefore making it easier for them to promote and advertise the show, it could be a huge hit.

I forgot to buy season 4...doing that soon! I'm excited to watch it! Any word on season 5 yet? Also any word if they will continue past season 5?

No word on season 5 yet but I will post info as soon as news becomes available. I hope they also release seasons 6 & 7 but I'm pretty sure Shout! Factory's contract with WB is for seasons 2-5 only.

I got the season on Thursday! I hope to watch it soon, but the television season has a lot for me to watch.

I just got my season 4 in a few days ago, I'm looking forward to watching it...really hoping season 5 comes out soon...that was my favorite season (along with 10, but I wont hold my breathe for that one lol)

Im afraid that Shout Factory lost the licence of the show and not edited all 10 remaining,hopefully soon give news about.

I wrote two days ago telling them if they will give a departure date,I hope this see the urgency and need really want to buy this season is one of the best!

I think we'll see season 5 released between April and June. Unless WB has leased more seasons to Shout! Factory, this will be the last season we see released. I really hope they release seasons 6 & 7, too! I want all of the Ms Swan sketches on DVD!

About the release i dont think to happen soon as they're published in their website releases of March through May and no nothing appears,I just have faith that after June we give the date,but its for sure WB have much licenses are delivering and hopefully perform seasons 6 and 7 and these are not as bad as many think,in fact IMHO are the mosts underrated seasons of the the entire show.

I e-mailed SHOUT a few days ago about it and got no response as of yet....season 5 was my favorite season, I was so excited for it... : /

I think my top two favorite seasons were 5 and 10. At least we got a 'best of's for 10...wish they would have made them all...they can't be too expensive to distribute.

I emailed them again this was the answer I got:

'No plans at this time - we don't have the rights to any additional seasons.'


This was depressing lol...I thought they did have the rights to season 5? Hopefully the 20th creates enough buzz that they'll continue releasing them...I really want season 5!

I just bought the 4th Season of MADtv today, But I have no plans to buy Season 5 if it comes out.

Randomly thought of this website today...I had took a bunch of youtube MADtv clips and turned them into Mp3's and I'll listen to sketches as I drive lol. I really wish they would find a way to put the rest of the series on DVD. I'm also sad the revival lasted one season...not sure if anyone still lurks around here but hello to all and miss you!
