I wonder why he'd say that to a newspaper...why "announce" it that way? weird. Watch it be a mis-quote or something

Wow...that first ep of conan was funny, yet weird...ah gotta love the 90s.

It was weird seeing that opening...not used to it, I guess.

My favorite opening is the one where it's his reflection (like he's riding the bike, and then he jumps over the puddle...the one before this current opening)

btw, is conan-obrien.net down?

I loved the first opening! And yeah the bike one was pretty awesome too. I saw it when i downloaded Andy's last show a few months back. And I don't think his first show was as bad as everyone says it is...he was obviously nervous, but he still had the same tendencies as now. And yeah COB.net isn't work for me either

I think, that Conan is sometimes so annoying. Everynight the same jokes, about MJ, Paris, Kevin, Ruben... MJ is gay, Paris is slut, Kevin is white trash and Ruben is fat, WE GOT IT, CONAN!!!

It's been confirmed that he's having a boy due in November.....
That article's pretty long but despite the constant exaggerations it is somewhat interesting. The lady who wrote it should write fiction.
Did anyone see him on Martha Stewart's show yesterday? She was great on Late Night too if you saw, the bobbing for apples was hilarious.

My friend showed me that article yesterday. Interesting. The bobbing for apples was hilarious. But I missed Conan on Martha. Hopefully there will be reruns.

Oh why did they get Conan O'Brien to host the tonight show. If his former show and first shot at hosting tonight are any indication of what his stint at this job will be like, its gonna suck in ways I cant imagine. I already miss Jay, don't think I can get through 3 months of Leno withdrawal. Although, I'll admit I've never been a big fan of late night talk shows- they're more of a time killer on nights when there's nothing better to do.

I like Conan. I really do think he's hilarious, and his show last night was good. Also, he wrote some of the best work at the Simpsons, so how can you hate somone like that? I never liked Jay Leno, and I hate it that he's coming back. He's completely screwing Conan over, and screwing Jimmy Fallon over more. By the time Jimmy comes on, everybody will be tired of talk. Speaking of that, how does Carson Daly still have a show at like 1:30 in the morning on NBC? Who is still up, and can take more talk at that time?

Jay's only returing becuase it wasn't his decision to leave the Tonight Show, it was NBC's ploy to attract more viewers by bringing in a younger host. The Jay Leno came into existence becasue other networks wanted to have him so NBC tried to find a way to keep him. So, if you ask, me NBC is the one screwing these other guys over. And, no bw, I'm not 50, I jsut have a strong opinion on this. I'm just not a fan of Conan's style of humor, I don;t think it fits the Tonight Show format. However, I'll probably learn to accept it eventually. And tvman, Conan may have been good as a writer but not as a talkshow host. He only wrote like 4 episodes of The Simpsons. And with the writing process involved with TV shows like that, the scripts for those episdoes aren't 100% his writing. Anyway that's enoguh ranting for now.

I happen to know that the episode he has been credited of writing he did have major contributing work on. Not 100%, but no show has a writer that writes the whole episode. Also, the episodes he wrote were great, like the monorail episode, and the Homer Goes to College episode.

I also read something today that apparently Jay is angry with NBC because they are trying to get his new show to have more sketches and less focus on guests. Jay doesn't like this because that is not his strong suit. He is much better interviewing celebrity than he is at anything else. He was under the impression that the show was going to be similar to his Tonight Show. He also doesn't like it that NBC seems to be putting all of the networks preasure on Jay, like the success of Jay's show will determine weather the network sinks or swims.

Here is the article http://tvguide.sympatico.msn.ca/TVNe...es_new_show_MH

Jay can be mad all he wants. He isn't funny and more sketches aren't going to fix that. Hope he crashes and burns.
