Default Get to Know Fellow Chatters

It's hard to really know who you're talking to so I set up this thread. Reveal stuff about yourself that you haven't before...

I am Mad Dog, I'm 17.5 years old, resident of South Western Ontario outside Toronto, my real name is Gina (even though I'm part Scottish-Irish-British lol) I have green eyes, medium height (not revealing my weight though I'm nice and slender), shoulder length blonde hair, white, non-smoker, staunch Conservative Anglican.
I listen to (good) alternative rock, scaw and punk rock music.
For movies, I like anything from comedy to horror to suspence, disaster, sci-fi, mystery movies and law movies.
My fav TV shows are MADtv, SNL, Simpsons, South Park, Friends, Buffy, Air Farce, Osbournes, the Holmes Show. (I'm not a couch potato, don't worry)
I also enjoy hanging with my friends, reading books, newspapers, playing golf, politics, gossiping
, writing short stories, partying etc...
I started watching MadTv at the season finale of season 4 and carried on through the summer into season5 up to date.
What I want to do for a living is make print adverts, TV commercials or produce TV shows and have my own sketch comedy!!!

Name: Angela (aka: Angie and Ang)
Residence: New Hampshire, which is wedged between the 2 states with the most annoying accents in the country; Maine and Massachusetts Luckily, I don't sound much like either one of them. Star=Stahh, garbage=gahhbidge, and chair=chayuh (the way it should be!)
'Mono' means one
And 'rail' means rail
(oops, sorry, damn Simpsons again...)

Age: 27 (November 20, 1974)
Sign: Scorpio
Eyes: hazel-green
Hair: long and brown
Height: 5'3"
Weight: in the 130's. Just a couple years ago, it was in the 230's, so I don't give a damn if 130's sounds fat to anyone. Screw you guys... I'm still working on it.
Self-esteem issues: Big fat 'Yes' on that one

Fave Music: As I've said before, I like pretty much anything that's not played on the radio every 10 minutes. The singer I've listened to for the longest amount of time is probably Garth Brooks. He's the only country singer I listen to. I was a fan of his back in 1992 and I still am. I also really love classic rock, like The Eagles, Skynard, etc.

Fave Movies: You're talking to the biggest couch potato on earth! No wonder I got so fat! I like anything that doesn't suck, how about that? I've already listed them somewhere on this site, so I won't do it again. But to update it, I loved Insomnia, Memento, Road to Perdition, Stolen Summer (and the Project Greenlight series that went with it). There are more, but I can't think of them.

Fave TV Shows: The same goes for tv shows. I'll just add to my past list. Project Greenlight (duh), Contest Searchlight (the parody version of P. Greenlight, on Comedy Central), Crank Yankers, and I think that's it. ??

Job: I'm a waitress at one of those movie theaters that serves meals, alcohol and sodas. It sounds like a **** job, but I love everything about it. The time goes by extremely fast, the people are great, I get lots of exercise and make tons of money in a short period of time. The couch potato works in a movie theater. Who didn't see THAT one coming?

There's nothing I laugh at more than when I ask customers, as they're leaving, if they liked the movie and they say something like "I wish I had left to smoke outside during it, but I thought the movie would finally get better while I was gone. And then I'd be pissed. But now I'm really pissed." LOL um yeah, who knew Master of Disguise and Pluto Nash was going to suck? Dumbasses! Anyway, I never get tired of the pissed off smokers! Some of them would make great characters actually. They always have great insults.

Anyway, that's pretty much all there is to know about me. <snore> Oh yeah, I live with my boyfriend and still have 2 ferrets, Kodos and Molly.

Well Here I go...

Name: Martin
Birthday: July 13th 1978
Location: Toronto, Canada

I am 6'2", weigh roughly around 190lbs (havent checked in a while), short dark brown hair, blue eyes, just an average white guy I guess, hehe... I don't smoke, dont do drugs, but I tend to be a weekend alky sometimes hehe... I was raised Catholic, but in the past 5-6 years haven't really gone to Church or anything of that sort, I dunno why... I like action movies, suspense, and a good drama once in a while... TV shows I like MADtv of course, Married with Children, King of Queens, Law & Order, Seinfeld, Junkyard Wars... I am kind of a techno freak, I love working on cars, fixing and modyfing them, as well as mountian bikes and computers, self learned trial and error heh... I like hanging around with friends, going to the movies, bars and clubs, as well as parties. As for my job, I work for a printing shop, where my official title is Digital PrePress Technician, means I prepare clients jobs (books, magazines, newspapers, flyers, etc) in several programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, Pagemaker, etc, in order to produce negative film which is later used to make plates which are used on the printing press to produce the job... Its hellish at times, but I slack most of the time and download files off the net, talk on irc or post on forums.... Thats about all for me, i dont have much else to say about myself LOL....

Sounds like somebody's developing a crush.

*gets off his high horse*

Well, if you insist.

Name: Matt (aka: Stud [I kid you not ])
Residence: Alberta, Canada -- the only province without the dreaded PST.
Nationality: Canadian.
Description: Scruffy "dirty blonde" hair, *real* green eyes (a note to all you turquoisers -- your eyes are *not* green ), hideous face.
Measurements: 6'5", 215lbs, 36DD.
Beliefs: I wasn't brought up under any religion, but I've since blossomed into a full-fledged atheist.
Skills: I'm a guitar/computer/Tekken/pool/coding/relationship master.
Occupation: None. I'm a bum.

Tastes:
  • Music: I primarily listen to the darker stuff (Manson, NIN, Head Charge, Disturbed, Coal Chamber...), but my MP3 collection contains everything from George Michael to Mariah Carey to House of Pain to Rob Zombie to Meshuggah. If I've heard it and it's not country, it's on my hard drive.
  • Comedy: Nevermind all those black guys with cigars -- George Carlin, Dennis Miller, and Conan O'Brien are the *real* kings of comedy. Following close behind are a couple of guys Angie introduced me to: Denis Leary and Dane Cook. Neither has influenced me as profoundly as the aforementioned three, but they're definitely the leaders of their niches.
  • Television: I'm a huge fan of George Carlin HBO specials and Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien. I'm a big fan of Dennis Miller Live, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, Friends, Seinfeld, Simpsons, Futurama, Crank Yankers, South Park, MADtv (pre-season 6), SNL, Highlander, and Johnny Bravo. I'm a fan of nearly everything else except Malcolm in the Middle and Will & Grace, both of which are absolutely terrible.
  • Movies: Apart from Austin Powers, The Matrix, and Lord of the Rings, I don't watch them.
Fun(?) Facts:
  • I pronounce garage the correct way -- "gair-aj".
  • I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I don't do drugs. And not just because I don't have the money.
  • I repel women like garlic repels vampires.
  • I'll likely be out in Toronto for a few months next summer, so I'll be sure to drop by and make hot dog meat out of the both of you.

<bowing> thank you, thank you. Did you ever watch any of the Comic Relief shows? I've only seen a couple and the only one that really stood out was the 1994 one. Somehow, I doubt you've seen it (damn, I'm old!) I still have it somewhere, of course. It was the night of the big earthquake in CA, I think? I seem to remember hearing about an earthquake the very next morning, and thinking that it must've happened right after the live show was over. The show went on for hours and hours. Anyway, it was very funny (the show, not the earthquake). I think that was the first time I ever saw Ray Romano and Bill Mahar. It was Dave Chappelle's first night and he was great. And Billy Crystal and Robin Williams were hilarious together. Robin usually annoys me, but when he's with Billy, it's funny stuff! I still remember part of a song they sang:

We're getting older
I'm growing hair on my shoulder
Yesterday I pissed a boulder
Ain't we got fun?
We used to stay up late
Oh, how I used to to love to masturbate
It ain't no fun without a prostate
Call 911
My balls are gettin' lower
My orgasms are gettin' slower

damn, that's all I can remember. But they were great together!

I already miss that show. I had no idea he had been doing it for so long. 1994, I think? The first ep I saw was around 1997 when he had Leno on and they were talking about the Oscar nominated movies of the time. I was laughing so hard! I haven't missed an episode since then.

LOL, you're right -- I haven't seen it. But I think that's more so due to the fact that I only had 2 channels back in '94. Sounds great, though! And no, you're NOT old! :p

Wow, it got cancelled, eh? I had no idea! I've seen it on and off throughout the years, but only recently did I start watching regularly. It took me this long to find it in a regular timeslot. :p Thank goodness for the Comedy Network!

Yeah, he kept joking about how he got fired from two networks in the same year. Anyway, there must be a lot of editing on the Comedy Network, eh? ...considering how much Dennis enjoys the word "f@#?"

You whipe that smirk off yo face, you don't know me, I don't disrespect other people (wait, ya I do) YOU disrespect other people! You're nothing but a lazy fat short no-good piece of.......And I am through!!! Go Gina! Go Gina! Go Gina!

LOL! Yeah, but I think that's the only word they cut out. Of course, that's just my memory; I could be wrong. I guess we'll see for sure tomorrow when it airs.

Well I'll be damned -- today's episode was f%@$ galore! Maybe they don't have censors at all?
